Urgently needed a replacement hot water tank. John called back within 5 minutes of submitting a web form and accurately quoted the job and sent two guys, Derek and Taylor 3.5 hours later. The work was professionally done, Derek and Taylor were personable, efficient, and skillfull. They took care around the home, were polite, and thoroughly explained the important parts of the job in a clear manner. It's no wonder Reliable Home Environment is doing such a great job....they have great people.

I was extremely impressed with the whole experience! Derek and Oliver were very polite and professional about explaining the details of what they would be doing. I would highly recommend and already have recommended them to many friends and co-workers!!!! I am extremely happy with the results!!!!

The old furnace in our house stopped working suddenly and Reliable Home quickly responded to our call to check out the issue. We were very impressed with Jordan's professional service to diagnose and repair the problem. We were up and running again before the frigid weather really kicked in!

Upon noticing a small amount of water at the corner of our furnace, we decided to have someone in to check on it. After a 2 hour inspection our furnace was red tagged due to potential problems. Since it was at the end of its life cycle anyway we decided to purchase a new furnace. We also decided that it would be a good time to have central air conditioning installed at the same time. We went to 3 different companies who we chose through word of mouth and through reviews here on Homestars. From our first contact with Reliable right to the last step of installation the service has been fantastic. Greg in sales was friendly, personable and attentive to our needs. He was the only one of the 3 companies who called us 2 days after his visit to see if we had any questions and/or concerns. Of the 3 quotes we received the best value was with Reliable and they also came in at the most competitive price. We were happy to choose them since we had read such great reviews here and were hoping they would be the most competitive pricing as well. As our furnace was red tagged, Greg made sure that we had a quick installation date. The two guys who came to install – Jordan and Nick – were phenomenal from beginning to end. They called ahead to let us know they would be a bit late (which wasn’t really late since they had told us between 7 and 9am and arrived at 8am). They were meticulous with the protection of our carpets and floors. They answered all of our questions without hesitation. They cleaned up everything leaving the place as if they had never even been there. They were friendly and personable (even to our kids!) We had an old style of thermostat and they worked for over 2 hours to try and fish the wires for the new thermostat into the old location because they didn’t want to make too many holes in our drywall. Jordan took the time at the end of a long day to give me a quick tutorial on the thermostat. Jordan also returned the next day to add some insulation to the outdoor pipe for the a/c and some covers for the drywall holes (which was totally unnecessary in my opinion but very much appreciated). After installation was complete Greg contacted us to make sure everything went well and if we were satisfied. I would 100% recommend Reliable for any furnace or a/c related needs. We already have!

I found Reliable Home Environment as a referral company from Cost-Co. I was tired of paying fees every month to my water heater rental company. After meeting with Greg and agreeing to the quote he provided, his crew was installing my new water heater and humidifier within a couple of days. The crew was very professional and I was very impressed with their attention to detail.  Taking great care to lay their mats on my floor, leaving no marks on the walls while bringing the old heater up to the garage for disposal, mopping the area of floor where they put the new heater in place.  Not only did they take the time to calk the new humidifier to the duct work, but one of them also took the time to strap my condensate pump to the furnace.  I've never seen anyone bother to use that many zip ties for humidifier discard tubing in my life.  Thanks Greg for making the transition to the new water heater and humidifier so seamless, your crew deserves much of the credit. I’m looking forward to having all of the HVAC products in my house maintained by a company that cares this much!

Our tenants called us in the early morning hours of December 30th to advise there was no heat in the building... they called me at 230 am. Ottawa was in a cold snap and the temperature in the building was dropping quickly. I called the service line / help line at Reliable Home Environment and left a message summarizing the situation... I placed my call at 235 am Reliable Home Environment called me back BEFORE 245 am and knew who I was and where our rental bulding was located... their first order of business was getting heaters to the tenants such that they would be kept warm while the furnace was being serviced. They offered to deliver heaters to the tenants immediately... and this was at 245 am! Reliable Home Environment arrived promptly and serviced the furnace... I was so impressed... this company is simply excellent at customer service... The furnace was fully tested, the problem diagnosed and quickly fixed. Heat was restored and temperature inside the buidling was back to normal. While at the rental building, the technician checked all aspects of the heating system from thermostat to air filters. The air filter needed changing and, at my request, the technician went to a local supplier to get a replacement air filter and then install it. I was only charged the cost of the air filter... no hourly charge and no travel charge. Oh, the technician purchased a spare filter for our future use. Finally, December 30th was a busy day for the heating and cooling companies in Ottawa (the cold snap)... with that and because the technicians at Reliable Home Environment were busy on service calls, the OWNER of the company was the technician who came to our rental building and completed the service call. Simply said, this company is amazing. If you want the very best in customer service AND customer focus, then Reliable Home Environment is the company for you.

We are very impressed with this company. The owner John answered our emergency call within 10 minutes-offered some practical suggestions to alleviate our furnace shutting off and on. In the end we decided to replace our furnace and air conditioner. John (the salesman)explained everything in thorough detail and the technicians were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We give Reliable a 5 star recommendation from the top down. Julie in the office was more than willing to help us with paperwork for rebates,etc.You can't go wrong with choosing Reliable Home Environment.

December 2016, in the middle of Christmas season our furnace stopped working. We called Reliable and Vince came in the middle of the night and again in the morning with required parts. Vince and Daryl worked on this major repair quickly, efficiently, professionally. Excellent and friendly service! Vince and Daryl definitely stand by the company name: they are competent and RELIABLE! I can recommend the without slightest hesitation cause they are great!
