Having had to fire our original contractor part way through the renovation of our ensuite and main bathroom I didn't think we'd hire a contractor again. I finished off the ensuite myself but realized I couldn't tackle the main on my own, at least in any reasonable time. After months of procrastinating we finally decided to give Paul a call. Paul is very down to earth and honest, he'll let you know up front what is possible and what items could cause increase costs. Paul's estimate was spot on, the only overrun was due to some extra electrical work we had done while the electrician was on site. When sub-contractors are required (the electrician in this case) Paul takes as much care getting quotes for the work as you would yourself. Overall we're extremely happy with the work Paul did. Our bathroom design is very simple and clean which means that attention to detail really shows. Paul took the bathroom back to the studs to finished in under 2 weeks. We would recommend Paul to anyone looking to renovate their bathroom. Our only regret is that we didn't find Paul before the ensuite got done.

We had three renovators come in to see our tiny bathroom needing renovating. BDB's estimate was mid-range but we figured their specialty is bathrooms so they must be good. And they were. Paul was super patient was we picked tiles, vanities, and other fixtures and he reviewed all of them to make sure we are picking right sizes and good products. Him and his team asked questions before they finalized or did anything final.

My wife and I decided to renovate our ensuite and went to homestars to get recommendations. We picked 6 companies to get quotes from and Paul was one of them. His company was not the most expensive neither the cheapest but we made our decision based on his review history and after meeting him in person. I don't think we could have made a better choice and I cannot recommend him enough! Any type of renovation can be a very stressful situation but working with Paul was a real breeze. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and very very skilled. This being our first real renovation, he answered all of our many questions & steered us towards suppliers that had quality yet good value. He has a very fine eye to detail and always made sure the job site was cleaned up after each day. (A very important point with two small kids at home) Our bathroom being older had quite a few quirks (outside window in the shower wall, stairwell underneath the cabinet) but Paul's creativity and skill was very apparent in his work. He was able to turn a floating cabinet into a real work of art to hide the stairwell poking through the floor. He also replaced the window and trimmed it beautifully. His advice and recommendations saved us both time and money, as many people know how both of these can easily spiral out of control. I was also impressed that he did all the work himself instead of sub-contracting them out. It was very apparent he really cared about his quality of work and making sure we were happy with it as well. Thanks again Paul!

After getting three estimates for our bathroom renovation, we decided to hire Paul to do the work. He remained true to our budget and timeline while providing excellent building materials and displaying exceptional workmanship . Courteous, experienced and reliable, we could not be happier with the work that he did in renovating our bathroom.

We found Paul on the HomeStars website. Originally we were looking for some repairs to be done in our bath/shower. Paul offered some ideas for the repair and did not push for a complete renovation. Very happy we chose the latter. Paul was very professional and efficient with the demolition portion. We felt vey comfortable giving Paul a key to our home as some of the work was done while we were both at work. The work area was cleaned completely at the end of every day. The finished product looks great, and we have had so many compliments on our new bathroom. I would highly recommend Paul if you are considering this for your home.

I had read the reviews on Home Start and had three contractors come in to quote and when Paul came in, I knew he was the right one. He had a vision of how the bathroom could look and offered suggestions and advice so we could imagine what the finished bathroom would be with a huge walk in shower. We gutted the room and sourced the materials. Paul had to do additional moving of venting and plumbing and removal of concrete. The tile work he did was awesome! He was always prompt with replies and suggestions, left a clean work area daily and kept in constant contact when the glass was being delivered and installed. Paul is extremely hard working, punctual and knowledgeable. I would happily recommend him to anyone looking at doing a bathroom renovation.

Paul just finished my bathroom reno and I can confirm that he absolutely deserves a 10+ star rating. He is a true perfectionist, and attends to every small detail. We had Paul do a total gut job on our bathroom, he did a wonderful job. His workmanship was excellent. He is very knowledgeable in what is modern and current. He was very helpful in the design aspect, as it can be overwhelming with all the choices out there. We are extremely happy with the work he has done and would recommend him.

We sought 4 estimates for an idea of what our bathroom renos entailed. Paul was not the first or the cheapest but he was the most attentive, offered information for us to make our own decisions, returned a couple of times as we changed our mind after his initial estimate and was so patient in explaining how and what he was doing throughout the project. We also liked that he did most of the work himself, and never said anything could not be done rather took the attitude how can it be done. Our bathroom was somewhat of a disaster with a carpet from the mid 90s, uneven floor and uneven step after we laid hardwood in the bedroom which earlier estimators said could not be levelled perfectly. It did not have a fan. Paul attended punctually and regularly every day and dealt with installing fan and pot lights requiring a new ceiling which he did singlehandedly paying attention to keeping dust to a minimum. He cleaned up the bathroom perfectly at the end of each day. He got rid of the demo materials promptly. He levelled the floor and brought the tiles in the ensuite and laundry room absolutely flush with the hardwood. He installed the shower, toilet, vanity, lights, mirrors. We saved the spa bath but he tiled it to perfection as he did with the rest of his work. The work was completed on time and on budget. We would not hesitate to recommend Paul for any bathroom reno. Thank You Paul. The cost reflects labour and materials as we purchased tiles, shower, toilet, vanity etc. ourselves.

Paul did a complete reno on our ensuite bathroom. He removed the shower stall and separate tub, vanity, toilet and flooring. He put in a beautiful full sized shower where the tub was and turned the previous shower area into a lovely linen closet that was dearly needed. Paul was great to work with, he finished the job on time and on budget and it looks fabulous! We are very happy with his workmanship.
