At first Let's Get Moving seems on the pricier side but the rate they gave me was one of the best for 3 movers for the job, rather than the standard of others which is 2 + truck. The movers all arrived on time and got to work immediately with no wasted time standing around. They were very self-organized and proactive. We started promptly at 8:30 am at pickup location and finished at the final destination by 12 noon. We have glass stairs and there wasn't a mark on them, and all of our furniture was well handled and wrapped in plastic or blankets when needed. The one thing I wish they'd improve is that they email and call you a LOT in advance of your job. There's a lot of phone calls and phone tag that I wish they wouldn't call so much and just text or email.

Excellent moving company. 100% will use them again if we move! Fast, efficient and very polite! They are extremely careful with your stuff . Wrap and protect everything as they go and place everything where you need it. Thank you again for making our move less stressful.

We have moved 4 times in the last 3 years and this was by far the worst experience and most expensive move to date. First of all, its important that you realize that the reason this company has good reviews is because if you have a claim settled with them due to damage, they require a signed waiver indicating you will NOT leave a negative review, otherwise they will sue you for damages of $5,000. We had significant damage during our move but opted to leave an honest review rather than accepting the (pathetic) settlement. Here is a summary of our experience: 1. We were pressured to use 4 movers rather than 3 which would have been fine if they did their job. 2 of the 4 stood around and looked lost for most of the move so the additional charge was a complete waste. My husband easily loaded more on the truck than the two of them combined. 2. They had an abundance of moving blankets in the truck which they indicated they would use to wrap our furniture. We wrapped a ton of our furniture before they arrived, but they seemed like they would be careful so we left the remaining pieces of furniture. Maybe 3 blankets were used. 3. The truck was packed so poorly that items were flying all over the truck causing damage 4. They used a dolly to unload our wood dressers, side tables etc, directly onto the paved driveway which scratched the sides/tops of several pieces 5. They dragged furniture across the hardwood floors in our new house creating several deep scratches. 6. Huge dents/gouges were taken out of stairs. 7. Several times we asked them to bring furniture into the basement and we found several of these items in the garage after they left 8. They spent over 20 minutes going from House A to House B, being 1.2Km away. We checked the cameras and they were just sitting in the driveway Following this experience, I followed up several times with customer service using the forms they required and left several messages before hearing back with an excuse that the photos I sent were too large and didnt go through. If you use this company, buy the MOST comprehensive insurance as there will undoubtedly be significant damage to your personal belongings/property.

Our family of 4 moved from Milton to Ottawa at the end of August. After reviewing several moving companies we ended up choosing Let's get moving, due in part because of the excellent reviews online, the information they provided when I spoke to them on the phone, and the price they quoted me for packing and the move (which was quite competitive). They were able to walk me through the entire process and leading up to the move, sent us helpful emails on what to expect. I have used moving companies in the past, but this was the first time I had experienced a truly stress-free move. The packing service was outstanding. The actual move was flawless. Our movers were professional and courteous and worked extremely efficiently. In the end, our final price was even less than quoted. Had a small local move from North York to Downtown at Yonge Bloor. I didn't have many things but wanted to move all larger items like the bed and sofa. The team arrived within the time frame and helped disassemble and pack everything safely. Move was completed smoothly within 5 hours including travel time. It ended up being a bit more expensive than I thought because of travel time between locations and being billed for travel time back to their office..
