    Home Inspection

    I've used Chris' services twice in the last year to which I was truly impressed with his ability to do an extremely thorough job with his inspection and explain in layman terms what deficiencies were uncovered to his client. His level of work ethic and professionalism is off the charts. I cannot say enough how impressed I am with him. As a first time home buyer the process is stressful especially when the home you plan to purchase is an unfamiliar place;Chris' inspection allows the client to become familiar and understand what they are getting into before they make the plunge. The report was very in depth and very detailed with clear and concise explanations. Pictures are also part of the Report allowing for the client to easily reference points of interest. I was shocked at the length of the report but not surprised as that detail is a testament to his focus on getting to his client as much information as possible. Thankfully we finally reached an agreement and have found our home.I plan to use Chris' services in the future . I highly recommend Chris and have to all my friends as I believe He does a solid job and works for his Money. You will not get a sloppy job with Chris.Highly recommend him Keith martin

    Home Inspection

    Chris was available at very short notice. He arrived promptly, was extremely thorough and left no defect unnoted. We received his full and easy-to-read report in a timely manner. His advice was reasonable and non-alarmist, and gave us the knowledge we needed to make an informed decision about our potential house purchase. Chris also followed up with us and offered his ongoing support in our home search. We would not hesitate to use Chris's services again. Good value for money, and fantastic customer service to boot.

    Home Inspection

    My wife and my first property purchase. We got Chris to do the Inspection based on a recommendation from our realtor. Good recommendation!!! Chris was very very thorough, with a super organized and easy to read detailed report. Also described/explained very well both during and after. All in all, a great experience.

    Home Inspection

    As first time home buyers, we didn't really know what was going on or what we had to do to ensure everything went right with our purchase. We are very glad we had Chris because he was very knowledgeable in his craft and walked us through all of his concerns. His report was also very clear and concise, which alleviated a lot of stress. Also he's available for more questions after the fact so if anything came up, he would be there for us.

    House inspection

    Chris was very friendly and knowledgable. While going through the inspection, he was very thorough. He was able to explain to me what would require attention and how I should look at addressing it. I am very happy that I selected Chris to do my home inspection. I recommend him to anyone looking for a good home inspector.

    Home Inspection

    Chris was both efficient and diligent. He identified major ticket items, including a few that were not immediately apparent to us (tree roots covered with soil...). Great follow-up, and a detailed report - gives us a blueprint for the next few years at our new house.

    Home Inspection

    My husband and I were purchasing our first home and we had to get a home inspection done within 3-5 days of the accepted offer. My husband called Chris at Haystack Home Inspections and he was more than accommodating with tight timeline. With the inspection, he was thorough and explained everything very well. He was also very helpful and went above and beyond to answer any and all questions we had with his inspection report. His estimates on the work that needed to be done was bang on (he knows his stuff) and the sellers now have it all repaired and our home will be move in ready for us. Chris is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a home inspection.

    Condo Inspection

    When we were looking for a condo inspector, we were in the same shoes as many who dread the process of having to look for one. Where do I begin? What if the reviews say one thing but the product I get is the complete opposite? This is when we stumbled upon homestars.com and found Haystack Home Inspections. I think we were fortunate to have found Chris at Haystack as he really put our mind at ease regarding getting a thorough inspection done before the purchase. He delivered a high quality inspection at a very reasonable price. The inspection also included a review of the strata council minutes and engineering report. It is always better to have a professional interpret and glean things from the report and Chris gave us a good summary of the details and answered any questions we had. What I did like: - did not rush anything and took the time to explain and answer all our questions - very comprehensive written report in an easy to read format complete with photos of the inspected areas and a rating of good to poor - friendly and courteous demeanour - was able to accommodate our tight schedule What I did not like: - honestly, nothing that I can think of I would not hesitate to use Chris again for any future inspections and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an inspector for their condo purchase.

    Inspection

    I booked Chris for our home inspection and he was so nice to agree to start it at 11am because the tenants living there. I know usually inspectors would split one day into 2 projects, but Chris was very kind to schedule me from 11-2:30. He got there 15mi early and LITERALLY spent 5 hours working on that since the tenants preferred to stay through the inspection.It was not easy for Chris with the house full, newborn baby and a nervous pet. We are so grateful that he extended his hours and did not charge us extra!! He is very professional and walked through everything that he was concerned. The report is fast, detailed, especially the recommendation is really helpful for me as layperson. I highly recommend him for your home inspection!!

    Condo inspection

    Chris was professional and reliable the entire time I dealt with him, from before I decided to retain him (on calls) and through to the end, following the inspection and after the report was finished. He was thorough in the inspection and his report was very clear; he obviously knows his stuff. The whole thing was painless and made so easy. We are definitely using him again for our next place!
