Reply created 17 Jul 2015Thanks Nelson, It’s so nice to hear that you found our communication style to your liking. We really want to help you understand your Burnaby home. So often fancy trade words gets in the way of understanding. While some inspectors choose to say efflorescence we prefer white salt stains it is so much more accessible. HIGHLY RECOMMENDING us is greatly appreciated. Good luck with your home. Sincerely, Chris Thompson
Reply created 17 Jul 2015Hi Jade, Thanks for your kind words. It is rare that an issue with such immediate implications are identified at the outset of an inspection. Steeps slopes can be problematic if not properly retained and the implications to a home can be catastrophic. That said almost any issue can be fixed if you have the desire and the money to do it. Part of a home inspection is to match the needs of the homes with the wants of the buyers. When the two do not meet up ultimately it is your decision to walk away. In this instance I think it was a wise decision. I will gladly be your expert anytime you need a home inspection. Sincerely, Chris Thompson
Reply created 12 Jul 2015Hi Rock, It’s nice to hear you were happy with the service. An inspection and the subsequent report are about so much more than just looking at a home. More than half the service is about effectively conveying the information to clients like you. Photos and answering questions definitely help. Our reports are also written and formatted to allow clients quicks access to help convert information into knowledge because knowledge is power when buying homes in such a crazy market. I look forward to helping you again in the future. Sincerely, Chris Thompson
Reply created 9 Jul 2015Brandon, Thanks for recommending our service in such a succinct way. The truth of the matter is clients find different things alarming. Haystack Home Inspections simply points out what is unsafe and likely costly to repair, some other comments get thrown in for good measure. That information should help most home buyers understand their prospective purchase far more allowing them to make a better informed decision. Good luck with your search. Sincerely, Chris Thompson
Reply created 9 Jul 2015Heather, To get a review like that is worth more than any extra time I spent assessing your property. Haystack Home Inspections is all about walking the talk. We are here for our customers before, during, and after the inspection. Part of the joy in helping our clients is the generosity they show in return. A thank you after the inspection or a great review is very rewarding. Call with any questions about your Vancouver town home. Sincerely, Chris Thompson
