    Heritage Home Inspection

    Chris did a fantastic and very thorough inspection of a Heritage home we were going to purchase in New Westminster. He spent approx. 5 hours investigating the entire house foundation to attic, the perimeter and garden. He provided an excellent and thorough inspection report that night. Due to his findings in this report we decided not to purchase the house as it required approx $100,000 worth of work that was not seen to the untrained eye. We will use Chris again for our next home inspection.

    New House Inspection

    I was buying a brand new house, and i automaticlly assume that everything will be perfect. However, when Chris came by to inspect it, he found many issues. Most of them were minor, but there was one major issue (basement window) was too close to the ground. I am glad i hired Chris. He did a fantastic job. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a Home inspector.

    Home Inspection

    Chris is an incredibly professional, detail-oriented and patient home inspector. He was also very accommodating when we called him on short notice. We were purchasing a new home and the comments he provided, in addition to his thorough report, put us in a position to negotiate a number of deficiencies we likely would have overlooked. Apart from identifying areas of potential concern, he provided us numerous tips for future maintenance of our home. We would not hesitate to recommend Haystack Home Inspections to our friends and family. We look forward to working with Chris again in the future.

    Home Inspection

    We used Chris for our new home inspection. He was very professional, polite and a pleasure to deal with. He took the time to go over his report to unsure we knew what everything meant and also offered to follow up with us if we had any additional questions or needed him back to the house for what every reason. I would highly recommend Haystack for all of your needs !

    New Home Inspection

    My husband and I recently found a new townhome over the Christmas break and were desperately scrambling to get a home inspector and other documents ready before the recision date. We emailed Chris over Christmas and he replied almost immediately and was extremely thorough. On the day of the inspection, Chris was more than willing to answer any questions we had. His report was easy to follow and detailed. He also made it clear that we can contact him after we have moved in if we had any questions. It definitely helped us make the final decision in our home purchase. It's also good to know that he will be available to answer our questions (if any) down the road. Chris also pointed out really useful things to note about our new home during the inspection. Overall, really pleased with his service!

    Home Inspection

    Chris provided us with a very comprehensive inspection of our primary residence and it was a pleasure working with him. He arrived exactly when he said he would and provided our inspection report in a timely manner and more importantly, at the exact estimate that he provided us prior to beginning the work. As a service provider myself, I was very impressed. I would recommend using Chris to family and friends alike.

    Home inspection

    It took us years to find a Heritage property in a location that we loved. We wanted a thorough inspection prior to purchase so we would be well-prepared as we have not owned an older home before. Chris' experience with Heritage properties and older homes was very apparent. He was extremely thorough and was comfortable with our realtor and us shadowing him for the inspection. His report was detailed with pictures and he gave a number of practical suggestions which led the family to invite us back to look at certain areas in more detail. We were able to negotiate a small discount of the original price in order to offset some of the costs of the areas noted in Chris' report. We appreciated his phone call to follow-up after the inspection and his experience and attention to detail is much appreciated. We would definitely use him again for another property inspection!

    Home Inspection

    Chris did a very detailed inspection on the home we were buying. We were very satisfied with the results and the services that he provided during and after the inspection. We definitely recommend him.

    Condo Loft Inspection

    Our timelines were tight, and the inspector we arranged for fell sick at the last minute. Thank you, Chris for coming in the nick of time. Chris arrived early and prepared, and completed a thorough inspection. During and after the inspection, he took the time to explain his findings, and laid out not just the scope of any deficiencies, but also their urgency. I was particularly impressed by his knowledge of roofing materials and practices. He provided his comprehensive report including pictures right on schedule, and followed up several times after our visit to answer questions. I would highly recommend Chris to someone looking to buy a home, or to someone looking to make sure a prospective buyer's inspector doesn't find any simple to fix problems. Chris has invested in his business, cares about his clients, and it shows.
