    AMJ Campbell Markham

It has been several months since my move, but I'm still pissed with the whole experience with AMJ Campbell Markham. I would expect myself to forget about the whole thing pretty fast, but I guess this move was just too painful to forget. The team was slow, inefficient, and not professional during the entire move. Their tactic is to put the slowest and most inexperience person in the unit doing packing while the other two just chill and wait for items to load onto the trunk. So in this case, although they assigned 3 movers, it doesn't really move any faster than 2 movers because of the low utilization rate. The truck was also gone missing for 30 mins while I was waiting at the destination site. Trip from Toronto to Markham simply wouldn't yield a 30 mins difference between a truck and a car. Quite a few items got damaged ranging from glassware (in it's original store package), furniture (scratch, chip on table, coffee table, sofa), hardwood floor and even a street lamp. I did purchase their moving insurance, but their attitude changes right away once they know you're planning to make a claim. You don't get to deal with the nice sales people any more (which was nice enough to convince me to choose them in the first place), and you don't get to choose which repair shop to use. After a couple rounds of talk, I finally gave up and agreed on an settlement for $200, but the cost to repair will be in the thousands. I just got tired of dealing with indecent people like this. All in all, my advice is: Avoid them at all cost.

    Moving and Storage - Barrie

I was expecting to move abroad and paid extra to have all of my belongings documented and wrapped and stored in a Bonded warehouse. After a few months I paid to have my items delivered locally to find nothing was wrapped for international move and so many items missing, very new Samsung refrigerator doors had been removed and hardware and hinges missing, it took them a couple of months to complete repairs and I only received $300.00 for missing antique mirror and fishing equipment (brand new) BlueRay movies 2 cases of wine. All items had been documented but they said the wine wasn't supposed to be stored in a Bonded warehouse so they don't know where it went. Don't use this Branch

    Household Move

We use AMJ to move my mother from Niagara to Ottawa. They forgot a bunch of stuff in Niagara including a closet full of clothes! How can movers forget this?! Every home has clothes! Their attitude sucked and all they could think about was getting back to Ottawa asap as evidenced by all the things they forgot! Then once in Ottawa, it was like pulling teeth trying to schedule an appointment for them to unload the stuff. They broke the TV stand, the bedroom dresser and didn't reassemble the TV upon arrival. I strongly advise against using these unprofessional movers.

    Office Move

Terrible service. They were supposed to move an office equipment but on the day of the move said "you have to take it apart", even though the guy who first came to give the quote specifically said AMJ would take it apart. We eventually took it apart ourselves but then they refused to come move it. Basically they refused to believe us or comply with their promises, changed their story around whenever we confronted them with facts, just overall very poor customer service and acted like bullies. Will NEVER deal with them again.

    moving

I had AMJ pack and move me - the packing experience was awesome! Everything packed arrived undamaged and in good shape. The movers were less than exemplary - they moved everything out fine but moving in was not so good. They were asked not to walk through the gardens to bring items in - that was ignored. They damaged items being careless and then hid the damage by placing items in corners so they were not seen until set up. You cannot have a damage assessment done without first paying $150! Why should I pay to have an assessment done. I would have settled to have an assessment done and a reduction on the move costs - but I could pay 150 and receive nothing. Be sceptical about using this company!

    Moving company

We have nothing but praise for the team (composed of Jason and Eddie, and led by Bill) that helped us in our recent move. They were very courteous and meticulous. The company was AMJ-Campbell, a franchisee of Atlas Van Lines. All our contacts with the employees of that company, starting with Howard, their sales representative, and Greg from the Windsor Ont. office were most pleasant and helpful. Moving can be a traumatic experience, especially for elderly people such as us. But when when you are assisted by professional people who truly care, such as the above, it is not as bad as we had anticipated. Bottom line, it's not the company that matters, it's the individuals you deal with that make a difference. If you live in Southwestern Ontario and need movers, do call Atlas, and ask for Bill and his team.

    Home Delivery

I had a horrible experience with AMJ Campbell in Winnipeg. They had to deliver the same product 3 times. On one occasion they didn't hook up the product like they were supposed to, said that they had, and when I did myself the product was broken. Another time they didn't bring the proper paperwork and couldn't complete the delivery. When calling the local office and speaking to the delivery person, nobody would take any responsibility for the errors. I will never use this company again.

    Moving

I have been through about eight corporate moves, and the departure agent on this end (Oakville), AMJ Campbell, was awful. The refused to provide the requested resources to help the Philly-based Atlas agent. My driver went out of his way to secure resources from another local Atlas agent. Atlas is great. AMJ is not. Buyer beware.

    Moving

I recently moved with AMJ Campbell Mississauga and I would recommend this company to anyone moving. The moving consultant came to my home, was available to answer my questions any time of day and was very professional. The moving crew was amazing. Professional, worked hard, and careful with my home and furniture.

    Just horrible

What can I say ... Moving is stressful enough... These guys damaged every piece of my dining table, leather furniture, coffee table broken, items lost and house damaged when moving in. Don't use these guys unless you want your stuff damaged. The lack of care and attention was criminal, the follow up was pathetic. I encourage everyone to make a better business bureau complaint. If you use AMJ get the extra insurance you are gonna need it. Also... insist that each item is 100% wrapped in moving blankets... any exposed edge will get gouged, cut, ripped or snapped off. Better use someone else. What a sick and disgusting moving experience. Shame on you AMJ..
