Our garage doors are pretty old and clunky. One of them has been extremely difficult to open since we moved here 3 years ago, so we weren't even using it. We knew we wanted an automatic opener installed and figured we'd have the door fixed at the same time. Two other companies came to give us quotes: one told us we needed brand new doors and that the 'broken' one couldn't be fixed, and the other company told us we couldn't even have an opener installed due to the presence of a loft/storage area above our doors. We actually gave up until we saw Whitby Garage Doors at the Durham Home Show and asked them to come check it out.
Not only did they reassure us the door could be fixed AND an opener installed, they also gave us pricing options for new doors but let us know that it really wasn't necessary and ours were in good condition. Their honesty and non-pushy approach really impressed us.
They came today and installed our belt-drive opener and fixed the door in under 2 hours. It works great, it's super quiet and most importantly we now have use of the newly fixed garage door we've been avoiding for 3 years! I wish we'd know about this company sooner, we would have saved ourselves so much trouble. We definitely recommend this company and are very satisfied with their customer service as well.
