    Bathroom install

    Tornado plumbing was awesome from start to finish. I received a same day quote and work commenced the next day. The team was very professional and the communication was very clear. I would definitely recommend Tornado Plumbing.

    Outstanding - Drains replacement and water upgrade

    We hired Tornado Plumbing to replace the sanity drains (inside & outside), relocate a running trap, and upgrade the water line to 3/4". The scope expanded slightly because they also had to dig outside in order to connect the new PVC pipe to the backwater valve (unfortunately the company that installed the valve did not bring PVC pipe close to the wall) -- this was not a surprise as we were warned by all 3 companies that provided quotes that it was a possibility. I used the opportunity to also have that section of the exterior foundation waterproofed for a small extra cost. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend these guys. Ardi, Peter and Serhiy are extremely professional and hard working. They had to dig 11' (!) to reach the City connection. Although the project lasted over a week, they repeatedly made temporary connections to ensure minimal interruptions to sanitary and water service. We did not have to leave the house at all. Ardi worked until past 10pm on the last day to remove excess soil and complete the yard cleanup. It's unbelievable how well the basement and the grass was cleaned after being like a war zone!

    Installation of Sump Pump & Back Water Valve

    We hired Tornado Plumbing to upgrade our lead water service & clay sewer piping, install the sump pump and backwater valve, and to assist with underpinning. Not a straightforward project as our house is over a century old and required tailored solutions and adjustments on the go. All challenges were handled skillfully and with high quality of workmanship. Serhiy was also a pleasure to work with, punctual, and always available over the phone. The job was reasonably quoted, did not go overbudget, and completed in timely manner.

    Sewer drain pipe replacement

    I would highly recommend Tornado Plumming and Drain, based on the quality of work performed. Serhiy and his team did an amazing job replacing old broken sewer clay pipes, all accomplished in three days. Serhiy was very professional and courteous from start to finish. He even came back after his crew left and made sure the sight was all clean. Thanks for a job well done! Henry

    BEST TEAM TO HAVE ON YOUR SIDE WITH A SEWAGE BACKUP!

    Serhiy and his team arrived in 20 mins when I was in a sewage back up panic! They literally solved the problem that no one else (including the City) could resolve. They were professional, courteous and took on the job as if it was their own home. I HIGHLY recommend them for any plumbing job. I was literally floating in sewage and within 24 hours they solved a nightmare of a problem, that no one else could fix!

    Very Disappointing Experience

    It is very difficult for me to post this review as I have previously written a 5 star review of Tornado Plumbing and referred them to 3 friends. We found them 2 years ago and had a very positive experience. At the time both our kitchen sinks were fully clogged. The owner, Serhiy did a thorough investigation of our plumbing and found that the drain pipes had been poorly installed and didnt have adequate slope, resulting in the buildup of grease and waste. Serhiy used a snake, a Hydro-jet and a camera to ensure the drains were completely clear. We made the decision not to rip out all the drywall and relay the drains and resigned ourselves to having the drains cleared every year or 2 as recommended by Serhiy. Fast forward 2 years We called Tornado Plumbing this February because both of our kitchen drains were draining very slowly. This time Peter came to clear the drains but only used a snake. We asked about the Hydro-jet but Peter assured us we didnt need it. At first, both sinks seemed to be draining well but after about 2 months I was clearing a large amount of water from one of the sinks and it virtually stopped after about 4 liters of water had drained. I would like to note that Peter snaked the drain from the sink that was draining well and closest to the main drain. He did not snake from the sink that was clogged. I called and spoke to Serhiy who said he would send someone out but that I would have to pay for the service call. He said there was no warranty on the work and that I probably clogged the drain in the 2 months since Peter had come to clear it. I realize running a small business is difficult and profit margins can be very tight but I dont understand losing a loyal customer and any future referrals for the cost of one service call.

    Hi Patty, sorry you're disappointed with us for not reaching your expectations of a free of charge service, but big or small business has its expenses which should be covered. Since the second time we did service for you which was snake, power wash and camera inspection,(think was end of April 2020),we suggested you the long term solution of replacing the pipes (didn't recommend you power wash every 2 years),we did write a report which you rightfully forwarded to the builder, hoping he would cover costs for this job, being the house was recently built. But instead he just came and secured different spots of the drain creating other problems in other spots. The permanent solution is replacement to a bigger size of pipe with the right slope. Again sorry we disappointed you ,but if you want we can remind you: 1.You have a 65 feet 1 1/2" ABS drain running in the ceiling with two kitchen sinks,2 p-trap connected to it,with bad slope and vent probably clogged without possibility to clean 2.In less than two years we did drain cleaning four times (3 times snaking and once power wash),and each time reminding you what was the main cause of the problem and the right way to fix it. 3.Last time our technician Peter was providing service, he suggested you power wash, this time with a bigger machine which could solve your problem again temporary but longer than only snaking the drain. You didn't approve the power washing service because the fee was much higher than just snaking. We are in this business long time now, and our goal is to help every customer, make them happy so they know they can rely on us every time, but in this case we're sorry to tell you it's not our fault as all we did was maintenance, not installation.     Very nice job!

    This is not the first time I turn to Sergiy for various plumbing services, and each time I am incredibly grateful to Sergiy and his team for their excellent work. In my kitchen sink, the water stopped flowing down and I immediately called Sergiy. 50 minutes later Peter arrived from Sergiy's team. Everything was done quickly, great quality, professionally with the help of modern technology. Thank you very much Sergiy and Peter and I will always highly recommend Tornado Plumbing & Drains. Im really very happy with Tornado Plumbing!

    Complete replacement of sump pump pit (with new sump pump) and pipe from catch basin to building

    We needed to have our pipe replaced from our catch basin in our parking lot to the sump pump pit after having water collect in our parking lot and taking a long time to finally drain. The pipe was replaced with a larger pipe at a better slope to accommodate more water. The pit itself was also upgraded as was the sump pump. Finally Tornado laid down gravel and asphalt over the channel to cover everything. The system works much better now.

    Professional and capable

    Serviced a toilet that wasn't flushing. Had to remove toilet and use the professional camera and snake to clear blockage. Quoted $500 before the job and cost stayed the same. The company uses a modern internet based quote and payment system. Very professional. Even the request was made through Homestars. The only hiccup was the details of my request wasn't passed to the technician. I think they can improve in that area.

    Fantastic job!

    When we bought our house, we had no idea what was in store. We were taking up some broken flooring in our basement and lo and behold there was a very damp dirt floor under vinyl and thick, mouldy, rotten particle board. We were desperate to get the floor fixed ASAP and at the same time install a sump pump to deal with the dampness. Tornado totally went above and beyond. They came quickly to assess the situation, gave us a timely, reasonable quote, was able to start the job within a week AND managed to complete the job in two days!! They were very clean and professional and did a really beautiful job that would have taken us months to do. We would definitely recommend them to anyone. Excellent job!!
