    Gas Grill Conversion

    Ryan converted our propane grill to natural gas and installed a quick release coupling to connect it to on the previously capped off external line two years ago. I wasn't comfortable DIYing with the conversion kit that came with it, and was happy to have it done. Ryan completed the work quickly and cleanly, and tested everything to make sure there were no leaks and confirm that the grill fired up. Still working great. It took a while for the invoice to find me, but I was happy to pay right away when I did get it.

    Replace Wood Burning with Gas Insert

    We converted our wood burning fire place to a gas insert and couldnt be happier. It was quite the job having been here for 30+ years and Ryan was determined to get this done for us. We loved his was passion and determination, he was very helpful and friendly. The Masonry Company Margarit he recommend did a fabulous job of removing, restoring and saving some of the stone work. Youd never know it had been removed and replaced, the replacement stone is a total match. Fabulous job. We highly recommend Ryan My Fireplace Guy and Margarit Masonry

    Completely Disappointing

    I had Ryan come to service a unit with a noisy fan Ryan indicated the fan needed to be replaced & due to the age of the unit replacement parts were not available. He offered to replace the entire unit with a used one which he said was "still fairly new & was roughly the same BTU output" The cost would be $1300 plus $500 installation. The completed work was messy (tangles of wires & unconnected electronics) Crude(attached by scabbing in a 2x4) & perhaps even unsafe (no teflon tape used on some gas connections) Shortly after installation I noticed that the unit could not sufficiently heat the room even with the central heating on. It was not very cold out. This was never the case with the original unit. A few days later the fan stopped working When I later downloaded the manual I discovered that model was last made in 2007 making it at least 17 years old. Furthermore its BTU output was only about half that of the original. With the work completed and it is very much completed I have $1800 less and a non heater with no fan.

    Trouble shooting, service and cleaning my fireplace

    My fireplace stopped working during our last cold snap. I called Ryan My Fireplace Guy, expecting to be told there would be a lengthly wait, and was pleasantly surprised that they could fit me in quickly. The office called to confirm the appointment the day before (on a Sunday). He arrived promptly on the scheduled day, at the scheduled time, and did a great job cleaning and servicing the unit. He fixed a problem with the pilot light and it is working properly again. Five star professional service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend.

    Install Gas, Pellet, or Wood Stove
    I coordinated the work for my dad. Ryan came, finished in less that 30min. No problem at all.

    Gas Fireplace Cleaning and Service

    I'm a big supporter of local service and repair companies. I've had many experiences with the (Big Companies) but the small family-owned companies have never let me down and Ryan My Fireplace Guy is no exception. Their tech, Ronan went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did he do an amazing job of cleaning our gas insert, but he also returned a second time to repair a gas leak that my wife and I didn't know about. On top of that, the owner Ryan came over to double check that we would be safe and reassured us that all was well. Now that's service! 10 STARS ALL DAY!

    Repair Pre-Fab Fireplace Unit
    Dane came out, replaced the control box and cleaned the fireplace very well. Was a bit expensive but at least we know the job was done right. Would recommend.

    Won't return phone calls, T1X 1R8

    Left two messages and spoke to assistant/wife on the phone, she promised to call back, again never heard from them. The first time i used them a couple years ago, the service was awesome. Not sure what happened but regardless of how busy you are, you should be able to call potential clients back.

    Clean or Inspect Chimney and Fireplace
    Dane was GREAT! (pun intended) Super fast, knowledgeable, showed us a couple of really important parts, and set us up for success on what we could clean ourselves (ashes) and how often, based on usage, we should have them back. Even befriended one of our three dogs, none of which impeded him in any way. Communication with Kat was quick, direct, always on topic. I would highly recommend this business, and now Ryan is My Fireplace Guy!
