Metropolitan Movers helped me move from my old apartment in Vaughan to my new condo in the distillery district on Oct 26th. They were terrific and the price was great. The crew was really careful with my stuff and I was moved in on the same day. I'd recommend them to other people in the west toronto area for sure.

Moving always involves a lot of stress when you do it yourself so this time round I called these movers. With only 2 weeks notice, they were able to send their best team. 10 minutes early, two of the smiliest people showed up, lifted all my heavy boxes in no time, packed the truck and off they went. They are not very expensive so it was much worth it than doing it myself, so overall I am quite happy with their service.

Do not use this service- they charged double the quote even though it was their error. Metropolitan had the simple task of picking up two sets of sofas in an Ottawa warehouse and move them to Regina. They only picked up one set and did not catch their error until they delivered it to our home. Then they decided to get the other sofa set we would have to pay double to get the other sofa set. We went with them- paying more than other carriers because of their comments on homestar. What a mistake and they will not take responsibility for their error. Huge cost.

I used Metropolitans Movers because they were recommended by my girlfriend's parents, so I called them for a quote. I received an estimate based on the size of my flat and a list of items that I provided. The move was very smooth, stress free and timely, and most importantly within my budget. There was nothing I could have asked for more. We will have one more move early next year and will certainly use them again.

I had Metropolitan Movers move me from Calgary to Edmonton, and they did a great job! They were extremely professional and very gentle with my belongings, not to mention their prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Calgary area!

I’m not exactly new to transfers; tend to move every 3 years for that matter. And what suffers most is not my crockery, but my furniture. Surprised? Don’t be, because it’s true. It’s next to impossible to find packers and movers who just don’t wrap your crockery and artifacts nicely, but also take care to disassemble your furniture properly. And that’s why I was more than surprised when the guy from Metropolitan Movers started asking me what all furniture is to be shipped as is, and what all needs to be disassembled. I almost jumped with joy. You know when you buy stuff from Ikea and they tell you easy to assemble, and all that sales talk- when you are moving house for the 4th or 5th time, it all becomes immaterial. Everything needs a professional hand. And a big Thumbs Up to the team from Metropolitan Movers for the care with which they handled all my furniture – amazing guys. I was so glad to see someone else treating my furniture as preciously as I did. You know I’m the sort who can’t tolerate a speck of dust on my sofa. And normally when the packers step into my house, I just go out or try not to look at how casually they open and pack my things. But thank God, this was different. These guys opened each piece carefully, packed it neatly, labeled it, got the nuts and bolts together, and labeled them too. Needless to say, their packing of my crockery was equally flawless and there wasn’t a single breakage – a first for me, so obviously I’m feeling great. They even reassembled my furniture precisely, and the labeling ensured things moved fast. Thank you Metropolitan for making my move so much easier. There were no hidden fees, and that’s another plus. They gave me a pretty reasonable estimate, and didn’t differ from that till the end. They even handled my insurance, so another task taken care of. Guess that’s what you should get from a fully licensed, insured and bonded moving company. You know they were on time, courteous and actually finished the job faster than I’d ever thought possible. Today I’m seated on my reassembled bed, feeling perfectly at home with all my stuff and that’s only because of these guys. I’m really happy I called Metropolitan for my transfer assistance. This is the smoothest move I’ve ever made.

Wow, maybe its the quality of people these guys have hired or the principles on hard work and management but my stress day of moving melted away. They arrived a bit late, but phoned and explained they were on the way, no problem, made up for lost time working like busy ants. Nothing broken, helping and concerned people that got the job done, what more could I ask for. Recommended!

I needed to move my Dad's things into my home after he passed, and I hired Metropolitan movers to help. They were great. A lot of the older antiques-many with a lot of sentimental value-were pretty fragile, but these men know their stuff! Everything was safe, and the move was a lot more painless then I thought it would be. Great job. Would definitely recommend!

I hired Metropolitan movers to help my wife and I move from Mississauga to Vaughan in August 2013, and it was a pretty stressful time for us as we had both just switched jobs, and we had just sold our house for quick sale! Metropolitan really helped us when we were pinched for time - the rates were very reasonable, and they were more than willing to work with our hectic schedule. I'm grateful that everything was moved smoothly in just a few hours. It wasn't a long distance move, but you still want to get settled right away! The movers were punctual and efficient, and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. Thanks for making a crazy, stressful weekend that much easier!
