During this Covid-19 year I decided I wanted to be able to enjoy our backyard from inside our house so I decided that a bigger kitchen window would do the trick. I contacted several window companies knowing that with Covid-19 it might be hard to get a response. Scheel Windows & Doors responded in a timely and welcoming manner. The consultant Dominic was able to come and meet with us to answer our questions, make recommendations and helped us decide on the style of window. The window took about 3 months to arrive, but we had no issues with that because after all it was a “Covid-19” year. We did run into structural issues, and I have to say that Greg the scheduler was very patient and helpful with our rebooking’s until we could fix things on our side. As for the installation team, can’t say enough about Jeff and his team, what a great professional job. Scheel Windows also recommended Philippe to do our masonry work and his work was spotless. Anyone who sees the brick work comments on how good it looks. We were very pleased with the excellent service and the high quality of the window and I would highly recommend Scheel Windows & Doors. Love my window!!

We've had a terrible experience with Scheel. We met with Dominic in March 2021 and ordered four windows and a door for our basement and one window for our bathroom which were to be installed in August at the end of our foundation rebuild for our 100 year old house in centretown. Our biggest concern was ensuring that the door and windows would be ready by the end of summer at the point in the foundation project when they would be needed. Scheel gave us every assurance that there would be no issues with delivering by the end of summer. On July 12 and August 4 we were in touch with Dominic to confirm the cut size of the windows and there was no indication that there was any issue with our order. In mid-August we were ready for the windows and door to be installed and we contacted Dominic and Haley to set up the delivery and an install date. This was 18 weeks from our order date and Scheel says to allow 16-18 weeks for delivery. No one from the company had mention any delays with our order. On August 23 Haley tells us that our order will not be ready until the end of October. We are extremely surprised. No clear reason is given for the delay or why we were not alerted earlier. Our contractor could not finish the work on our foundation until the windows and door were installed and our basement was left entirely unsecured. Haley tells us she will follow up with Greg. On Aug. 26 we contact Haley again to ask what the update from Greg is. We do not get a reply. Dominic calls to say he will get our order expedited and will call us back to confirm. We do not hear back from Dominic. September 1 we contact Haley again to ask about our order and no one responds. September 7 we get in touch with Greg and he looks at our order for seemingly the first time. He says he will call me back. Greg does not call back. We call back and finally get a confirmation that everything will be installed Sept. 30. We call Sept. 27 to confirm everything is set to go on Sept. 30. We get confirmation that the install for the full order will happen. Sept 30 the installers show up but do not bring handle and deadbolt hardware for door and they leave our basement door without a lock or being able to close it!!! We call the main office and the person who picks up says they don't provide door handles. We say it is in our quote, that it was part of our order since April. They put us on hold and then say they will call us back. Dominic later calls us back and suggests we should just go buy our own handle and lock and install it ourselves!!! For the window that was installed in our bathroom, the installers made a big mess, left chunks of drywall on the floor, some kind of sticky residue smeared all over our bathroom floor, got caulking or some kind of white goo on our wood table that was outside the bathroom, and scratched up the wall on our stairs leading to the bathroom. No one at this company seems to take responsibility or is accountable for their failure to deliver. Working with this company has been incredibly stressful, has delayed the finishing of our foundation project and they have left our basement door with our a handle or lock! I highly recommend getting doors and windows elsewhere.

We decided to go with Scheel because of the local manufacturing and we had a recommendation. To be honest that was the worst decision we made now almost 7 months ago. We recently had part of the order installed, three of the windows with the patio door. The build quality on the windows is very poor and have gaps in the vinyl corners, all the window sills are scratched from install and the patio door has a significant scratch. The patio door screen came out after our 20lb dog tapped on it to go out the first day. Overall terrible experience, no contact from the company, low quality products, installers that leave trash behind and damage the products.

Wow, I called Scheel Windows to help with a stuck (open) window this morning; and within an hour, a technician showed up and repaired my mistake. The window slide had disengaged after removing it to clean it. Shawn and Hailey were great! The "kicker", No Charge!!!! Now, this is something not every company would do. Thank You.

We needed new windows and doors in our 20 year old home. After getting many quotes we chose Scheel Windows do yo the time Dominic took to explain the product requirement and the difference between the various windows offered. Scheel was very competitively priced and they manufacture their own product. The windows and doors were installed by Dane and we were very happy. All installed well and entire mess cleaned up by Dane and his crew. All quarter round was neatly removed with old windows and new quarter round with new windows. We did not then need to paint or touch up any room. Our neighbours all comment on our beautiful new door and what curbside appeal it adds to our home. My wife and I have a 120 year old home downtown with an addition on the back with very little light. We had Scheel cut 3 brand new windows, replace and enlarge another and replace the exterior door. We had met a couple other companies to get quotes but we decided to go with Scheel. We had to wait quite a few months due to Covid but that's not their fault. We are so happy with the end result. The room looks completely different, it has so much light, the black on black windows look incredible and our neighbours are truly jealous. The crew were very proffessional in the home, very skilled and checked in with us at every little bump in the road that required approval (deviations occur more often when working on such an old home) but they were very helpful and offered great suggestions. We will be calling Scheel next year to do more windows and eventually the front exterior door.

It's been a couple of weeks since installation and we still admiring our new doors. We have received many compliments as well. Thanks to the knowledgeable sales staff. I would also like to mention Dane and the installation team. There were very professional, on time and very tidy. A great job all around.

In spite of pandemic scheduling obstacles, Scheel delivered on time, no qualms , just first class service on ball bearings. Today April 30, 2021, a terrible weather day, with ferocious gusts and abundant rain, but the School team showed up on time, and unfolded their protective equipment and and waste baskets to capture all construction debris as they removed the old windows and replaced them with the new ones. We are amazed at how little disturbance was used ( we're an elderly couple over 75) and had no dusting to do after they left. The work is impeccable, the product fits perfectly, the measurements were taken repeatedly to avoid errors in manufacturing. We strongly recommend this company.

I had Scheel Windows and Doors replace my aging doors. My new front and back door installation exceeds my expectations. The workmanship, clean-up and customer service demonstrated care and respect for my home. The installers were congenial and respectable, always confirming my request from the order. I was expecting to do touch-ups around the door. The previous trim was maintained because it was expensive and yet I cannot tell that it was taken down in order to install the new door. Both doors look really nice and family has commented on how good they look. S heels service from beginning to end has been excellent. I am very happy with Scheel.
