    Fridge repair

Beau was great to deal with especially during difficult times of Covid when one would least want their fridge to breakdown! I would definitely use his service again. Thanks for fixing my fridge!

    Gougers

These people take advantage of home owners who need their appliance fixed. They quote a ridiculously high price hoping that people will pay it because they're already out the diagnostic service fee of $89. I was able to get the part and service at half the price that they quoted. I'll never use this company again. Your response is simply not true. You wanted to reimburse me the diagnostic fee if I removed this review. The other repair person just left and even after paying your diagnostic fee, I saved a lot of money. My appliance is up and running. I stand by my claim. You're gougers

    Fantastic Service

These guys went above and beyond. The first dishwasher we purchased had a defective water sensor and unfortunately couldn't be installed. He charged us only for the service call, which was quite reasonable for the length of time he was here. Thankfully our second dishwasher arrived intact and they were able to install it easily. They even fixed a problem the previous plumber had created with the drain hose, and didn't charge us beyond the initial quote.

    Knew just what to do!

We had an issue with a dishwasher that did not dry anymore. We asked one guy who had been recommended by a friend to go take a look and he thought it was the heating element. When the time came to fix it, he was a no show and then he ghosted me when I tried to get more info about what going on. So I searched on here and found Appliance Repair Expert! Wow! What a difference! The actual issue was the dishwasher's computer that needed to be reset. He fixed it on the spot and the fee was reasonable. I recommend these guys for any appliance repair. I sure will call them back when needed!

    Washer leak repair

The repair was completed to my satisfaction and the service person George was very friendly. Since this was my first time having to use the repair service I was surprised by the cost for the replacement of the door boot seal. The part was priced competitively and it did take a couple hours to repair. I would recommend using the service rather than a DO it yourself.

    Stove top replacement

Had a terrible accident with our stove top. Contacted the company and the dispatch on the other side was very helpful and straight forward with the questions I asked. She was able to set an appointment for one of their employees to come the next day for a diagnosis. George arrived and was very kind and understanding of the situation. He answered all my questions and was honest about the process going forward. He was able to order the part quite quickly and always kept me updated. He was able to arrive within 1-2 days to install. Service was much quicker and easier than I expected. George was nothing less than professional and a great worker. Would definitely recommend him for any appliance repairs you may have.

    Hidden fees for simple fix

I called the company to get a quote to fix two washing machines. the estimation for the visit was $89 for the first and then $49 for the second. The company messaged me with the name of the technician (Burak) and links to cancellation policy and job description. very nicely done! Apparently this company is a dispatch service for local techs (per Burak) who takes commission of the job. The job is done and guaranteed by the tech who came over to do the fix. The technician came on time. There was no power for the machine. He asked to check the breaker (I didn't think of that). once I flipped the breaker it was all good. machine fixed! As to the other machine - there was a stuck sock in the pipe and hence it was not draining the water. He pulled it out immediately and all was fine. all done in 15 min. great job guys. much appreciated. Then came the surprise - the diagnostics is one thing but pulling the sock is actually fixing the machine which is extra charges! Apparently there is an extra charge even if no parts are involved in fixing the machine. I didn't know that pulling a sock will cost me extra $130. He actually told me that I got a break in price since he didn't charge me for a fix on the other machine. lucky me. He was in my place for about 15 in and he didn't think that the charge was over estimated. The morning after I called the company and talked to a rep on the phone who also didn't think it was exaggerated. After putting a 2 star review (in my honest opinion) their rep called me. We had a long discussion. he didn't want to acknowledge what I was saying that by analyzing the issue for the washing machine not working (switch was off in one and a sock was plugged in a pipe in the other) we ac tally did the fix and that the diagnostics in this case was the fix but we agreed to disagree. He refunded $50 to my account. I regard this as a good show of will but I could not understand why it had to come to this... BTW, I have been landlord for years and I own few places and with more than 60 tenants I have never had such thing... Conclusion: The tech for this company know what they are doing, notification and service are great. HOWEVER: Diagnostics fee will be a small part of the bill if the washing machine is working after the visit regardless of the work that needed to be put... I recommend checking and verifying all fees before hand if you want to use this referral business. May as well contact the repair man directly and not the middle man.

good stuff, bad communication, neglegent management

Required repair of KitchenAid combination oven/microwave. Problem: microwave not heating. Repair took 2 weeks (1 week waiting for the part). Pros: - unit repaired successfully Cons: - communication. After the initial service visit it took 2 support calls and one conversation with a manager to get things cleared/going - management negligence: despite knowing of the unit weight (and explicit warning from me too) a *single* person was dispatched for the job. The job did indeed take two person (the unit weights 265lb), so I ended up lifting/moving/sweating it along with the technician. We barely did it together. Special note: - would like to praise the technician (Sam) who really took an extra step lifting that beast with my help, sweating and cutting his hand along the way. I think another person wouldn't even start it (and frankly - should not have). Sam did his best and beyond. I rate overall engagement experience with Appliance Repair Experts as mediocre.

Thank for your review Sergei. We appreciate any kind of feedback because it helps us to improve. The reason the repair took 1 week longer than it should have is because the deposit for the part was not paid on time by you. The supplier will not realease the part unless its fully paid for. The procedure of the deposit was explained to you by technician/office numerous of times, but it looks like you wanted to reconfirm it with the manager first. The second technician is an extra fee and we were affirmed by you that the repair needed to be on budget. Once again we are sorry for any caused inconveniences and we appreciate your business.
