New Windows and Sliding Door
I heard about Consumer Direct from a family member who had used their service as well and were very happy with the products. I had them over to discuss replacing our windows. Their pricing was very competitive and found the windows to be great quality and the energy ratings were also great (even for our sliding door). The windows and door were ready on time and the installers were amazing. They were neat, courteous and did a fantastic job installing. They worked extremely hard and long hours to get the job done in just 2 days.I highly recommend this company.

We got the right choice.
We picked Kristians quote (Consumer Direct) for our window replacement from 3 different suppliers. It is the right choice. Kristian answered all our questions in detail, gave us professional advice before we made the decision and followed through the whole process of window installation and the application for rebate. We also went to their showroom to view the physical products. Their prices were the best of the 3 quotes we received. Their installation team, led by Sina, has also done a good job. We are happy to get what we told. It is a relief to us for we have no knowledge about window products and window replacement previously. Yes, we would recommend Kristian of Consumer Direct to our neighbors and friends.

All windows replaced. Amazing job
All of our house windows were replaced with such quality and professional service. Even though the installation was during cold weather, the installation team were mindful of keeping doors closed and keeping the mud out where possible. Really happy with Consumer Direct Windows, amazing service.

Whole home window replacement
From the initial sales/quotes from Jerry, the installations team lead by Scott, through to the installation crew, we are very pleased with the entire end to end process. Down to earth family owned company with a local showroom, we have nothing but good things to say about our experience with the team at Consumer Direct. Resent Upgrades to Windows & Doors
I had a few quotes from different companies. Consumer Direct cane in at the best pricing. The salesman Mike was excellent in walking us throught the process as well as informing us about the Government rebates available (the other two companies never even mentioned rebates). The quality and workmanship of both product and installers were second to none. The contractors that did the installation were fast, polite and very tidy. The only issue now is, I don't want to cover any of my windows!!!

Window and Patio Door Replacement
Our windows look great and the team who installed them did a fantastic (and fast) job. David from the team has also been very responsive and helpful before, during, and after the window installation. However, I was very disappointed with how the manager and company failed to honour the payment terms stated on our agreement and the manager even threatened to put a lien on our home following our initial 15% deposit. While I would have otherwise happily waited for the company to try and fail to put a lien on our house in court, I was pregnant and would not have wanted to deal with the hassle with a newborn and toddler in my house. Our contract explicitly stated the outstanding payment would be upon completion of the greener homes loan. I now realize that the company may have agreed to these terms in error because the person who signed it did not know it would take so long for the loan to go through (I also did not know the loan would take so long to receive). The company offered bridge financing from a third party for 3 months, but, because the Greener Homes Loan was so slow to process, the 3 months would not have been long enough and we would have been stuck paying horrendous interest on the loan. Luckily, we found financing elsewhere. In spite of this stressful experience, especially with the manager, I would recommend the company if you have the money available to finance the windows and if you do not need to customize the financing terms (as they may not be honoured based on my experience).

Hi Julia. Thank you for your review. We do apologize for the confusion over the payment. Your contract was one of the 1st after the loan was announced and it seems we could have done a better job explaining it. Our standard process is to help get you signed up for the rebate and the loan, should you desire. The 15% is an advance that you can request upon loan approval to cover your deposit. As the loan money is paid directly to you (the home owner) and not us (the contractor) we do require payment for the project. We break this payment down into a startup and completion amount. In the beginning the government indicated they were paying the loan money out within 10 business days of final submission. This was on their website and even in the video they produced. However with the popularity of the program it does appear to be taking them longer to process the final payments. Again we apologize for any hardship or inconvenience this misunderstanding may have caused you. On the positive side, it seems you are happy with the product and installation and we were able to help you take full advantage of the program. You qualified for the rebate money and the 0% interest loan, both of which are huge savings. It has recently been announced that the government is ending the Greener Homes Rebate in about 90 days, so we're extremely happy you could take advantage of this. We will reach out to you to confirm you've received this money and if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Excellent service and product!
We had all our windows and a sliding door replaced, including a 5 pane bow window. I was a huge job and it required that the windows be installed to fit our California Shutters. Consumer Direct installed all the trims to our particular specifications. They also set us up with a company to apply for the rebates. The job was completed in 3 days, installers were efficient and organized. Basement windows were installed at another day. We chose the Iron Ore colour and the end result is stunning! We ordered the triple pane windows and couldnt be happier with the improvement in seal. There were minor issues with a handle and basement window and service to correct the issue was provided in days. We will definitely consider Consumer Direct when the time comes to replace our front door!

Excellent Customer Service
We purchased two sliding doors with Consumer Direct. We were thrilled from the very first business. Not only was the product exceptional, the installers were wonderful and the cost was considerable cheaper than several other quotes that we received for the exact same thing.
