First class work - bathroom renos

I had the pleasure of working with Montemayor General Contracting on two bathroom renos in my home. I never thought I'd associate the word "reno" with "pleasure" but that's how I felt upon the completion of this four-week job. I'm very pleased with the results! Santiago, Cesar and their team were efficient, professional and easy to work with. I knew I'd hired the right company when the crew arrived and began covering my floors in protective blue floor mats - from my back door and all the way upstairs. From there, the work progressed speedily without interruption. The crew and tradespeople arrived on time and worked hard. I was impressed by their attention to detail and by the quality of the workmanship. Santiago is personable, honest and has high standards, even extending to the final site clean-up. His team washed all my floors and left my garage (where they stored supplies and tools) cleaner than when they arrived. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Montemayor General Contacting transformed our dark dated kitchen

I had the pleasure of working with Santiago and his team on a kitchen renovation in Toronto, and I couldn't be happier with the results. They transformed our dark, outdated Ikea kitchen into a stunning, bright space equipped with modern appliances and updated electrical. Santiago's crew was not only skilled but also polite, conscientious, and respectful throughout the entire process. Santiago himself was wonderful to work with, demonstrating exceptional responsiveness and handling scope creep with ease. He navigated any hiccups with respect and quick resolution. I highly recommend Montemayor General Contracting for their excellent work and guidance through our first significant renovation! Thank you, Santiago and crew!

Six week renovation while we were on the other side of the country!

In the span of approximately six weeks, Santiago and his team at Moneymayor: -gutted and renovated two bathrooms -gutted and renovated a laundry room -removed walls in the living room and replaced the main stairwell -replaced the living room (and kitchen) flooring -smoothed the main floor ceiling (removing popcorn) and added pot lights -provided excellent communication and updates over the course of the project. The work was on time and on budget. We spent 4 weeks of the renovation on the other side of the country, but did not feel that we missed out on anything. Santiago is an excellent communicator and kept us involved in the project over WhatsApp. We did not get as many updates during the final days of our time out of the house -- not because Santiago was being unresponsive, but because he wanted the final result to be a surprise (that's how much he cares about his work). The renovations were experts done. Everything got done to a high standard. As a bonus, Santiago and his team replaced the floors in the kitchen (we bought the extra flooring, but planned to do it down the road). Who does that??? Montemator General Contracting. Highly recommend.

    Answer from pro:

    Fireplace renovation

We hired Montemayor General Contracting for a home renovation project (demolition of existing fireplace, retiling fireplace, drywall, painting), and would absolutely recommend them. Santiago and his team were responsive, polite, proactively communicative, and completed the project in a timely manner. Santiago worked extremely hard to meet expectations, and when there were revisions/touch-ups to be made, handled the feedback in a transparent and gracious way. He was very honest and we would not hesitate to work with him and his crew again if needed in the future.

My renovation with Santiago and his team was amazing. They are very professional and hardworking. Communication was great and they were always compromised to fulfill my expectations, the work was done as I had it in mind. I highly recommend working with them.

Highly recommend Santiago / Laundry room and building a wall in the basement

Santiago stood out from the beginning as very communicative and open, he was very transparent about the quote and very responsive. His team was always on time, polite and kept the house tidy. Although towards the end of the project there were some finishes we were not happy with, Santiago made sure these were remedied and done to our satisfaction. He is a very honest and trustworthy person who cares about the quality of his work. We will be happy to work with him again in the future.

    Quote basement quote

Worked with Santiago to get a quote to repair our basement rental after it was demolished following a flood. Santiago was sympathetic towards our situation and understood to act as soon possible in order for our tenant to move back into the basement apartment. Although we chose another contractor who was available sooner, Santiago set himself apart by being professional and detailed with his quote, which made my life easier while dealing with our insurance company. I would strongly consider hiring Santiago and his company in the future!
