We are so pleased with the outcome of the renovation of our 2 bathrooms. Ricardo and his team are professional and very dedicated to doing the best job for their clients. The team was accommodating to all our requests, ensuring we were involved in any last minute (even minor) decisions. Cesar and Luis showed up everyday, worked longer hours if needed and Ricardo attended daily to ensure the project was moving on time. The workmanship is exceptional. Renovations can be stressful. However, with the Live team we had peace of mind. They are terrific. It was a pleasure working with them!

I had been thinking about doing this reno for years and when I finally made the decision to proceed, I had no experience in renovations or choosing a contractor. So I posted a description of the work I wanted to do and proceeded to interview a number of respondents. From the get go, I immediately felt comfortable with Ricardo. There was something completely different about the way he approached the potential job. He came to the house to see where I was coming from and where I wanted to go. He took the time to send me renderings of what my reno could look like. This in itself was a time consuming process as I only had a vision in my head and he helped me get it on paper via multiple iterations. Once I was satisfied with the vision, he provided detailed pricing and payment structure. And then the journey began!! - Remove walls (yes, load bearing) and turn main floor into open concept living, dining, kitchen. Add new beams in the ceiling to replace load bearing walls. - Replace stucco ceiling with new dry wall (and as a bonus he added new insulation when he observed it was lacking - Install 20+ pot lights on 5 different switches - Brand new kitchen with custom cabinets, island, backsplash requiring new plumbing & electrical - Brand new kitchen with custom cabinets, island, backsplash requiring new plumbing & electrical - Replace hardwood flooring through out the entire main floor - thus new baseboards etc - New framing on all windows - Replace all closet doors and framing - Paint the entire main floor He targeted (and met!) 3 months to complete. He and his team were there every day, for long hard days to meet the committed timeline. His team was extremely professional and very pleasant. AND they cleaned up daily!! I am so pleased with the results that we are now in discussions to renovate my basement. I would not hesitate (and already have) to recommend Ricardo to anyone considering a renovations. He is a true professional and his knowledge, guidance and patience make him a pleasure to work with!

I found Architect Ricardo on Homestars, and requested him to redesign my bathroom, what they did nicely. His crew was kind, clean and efficient. Ricardo showed me many options on tiles and hardware, which made easy to reach my expectations. I was happy with the result, so I hired them to do my husband's bathroom. My next project with Ricardo will be my kitchen.

HomeStars can be intimidating - everybody wants to find a great contractor. We had several proposals, but Live Design Renovation had the best vision (with renderings), a reasonable budget, and a promise of being on site every day until the project was complete. We took the plunge and couldn't be happier. The crew was on site every day and left it clean each time. They were friendly, respectful and beyond capable. All issues were resolved quickly and with great results. The crew had great suggestions for any problems encountered. We turned our old popcorn-ceilinged bedroom into a beautiful space with cathedral ceiling and office nook. They saw things that we couldn't envision - they suggested we take dead space from our hallway and we incorporated it, making our downtown home truly feel like it has a grand main bedroom. While they were constructing the cathedral ceiling, we truly felt they were artists. We recommend Ricardo and his team 100% and would hire LDR again in a heartbeat. From the beginning, it was clear that his goal was to provide us with results we would be thrilled with, and that's what we received.

Ricardo was good to work with. The job was done efficiently and he was flexible as to our schedule. We were pleased with the result and his team was conscientious as to clean up.

As a general contractor, Ive worked with Ricardo and his team on a few different projects now. Live Design is an incredibly efficient and pleasurable company to work with for any Millwork needs. Ricardo is a very honest and hard working person that I will continue to work with for years to come.

Our basement bathroom was in total disrepair - original fixtures and tiles from the 1950s! Ricardo updated it, removed partial walls to open up the space, and added a built-in wall unit. Very friendly, honest and work was completed in good time.

I hired Ricardo and his team to fully renovate a 3 bedroom bungalow into two 2 units. He was very professional and I was happy with the quality of his work. I hired Ricardo and his team to complete a full house renovation. They were responsible for demolition, removal of a load bearing wall, renovation of all bathrooms, addition of a bathroom in the master bedroom and kitchen.
