    Interior Waterproofing of Basement

    First and foremost, this review is long overdue. We had a recurring problem of our basement flooding after rain storms. Finally enough was enough, and decided we needed to solve the problem to make the basement usable for the kids. I contacted Darby after a recommendation from a friend and after reading his company's reviews on Homestars. Darby and his team were professional and polite from the initial quote to the end of the job. They worked hard and always left the place clean at the end of the day. A special mention to Justin who did a heck of job. If you have waterproofing to be done, look no further - Mud Monkeys are your guys!

    Exterior waterproofing of basement

    We were very impressed with Darcy and his crew. He was always available and responded to our concerns immediately. They did a very professional job waterproofing our basement and when we encountered a problem along the way, he responded immediately and solved the problem right away. We found that Darcy was both professional and an all around nice guy, which made it very comfortable to work with him. We would highly recommend his company to anyone who is considering a waterproofing job.

    Waterproofing front of house

    I agree with all of the good reviews. We had an excellent experience with this company. They were, on time, pleasant to work with and did a good job. Would recommend to anyone.

    Waterproofing Rear Basement Wall

    Mud Monkeys are a class act. It's been years since we have come across a team of workers that were so professional, timely, honest and above all, the hardest workers we've ever come across. Nick, Jessie, James, Rob and their boss Darby Braun renewed our faith in hiring trades men. These guys (honestly) worked tirelessly every single day and showed up promptly at the crack of dawn. Their estimate was extremely fair, as this was a real challenge, going down almost 10 ft, installing weeping tile & putting evrything back in place. Our neighbours were really impressed with their polite & friendly nature and were as amazed as we were. Honeslty, we were not expecting the expertise & professionalism of this team and would highly recommend them to anyone undertaking the task of waterproofing their basement. It rained hard today, so we had an opportunity to see if any water came into our basement. Powder Dry! We cannot say enough about Darby and his team .... you'll just have to call them yourself & from the "get go" you'll know you are dealing with honest and bona fide professionals. If there was a 10+ rating - that's what we'd give them - they are a "rare breed" in today's world.     Waterproofing, Basement, Indoor

    Darby, Nick, Justin and the guys were great. They showed up the weekend there was torrential rains, provided an estimate and were excellent about scheduling the work. They were prompt, professional and extremely tidy. I would definitely use Mud Monkeys again and would happily recommend them.

    Interior waterproofing of basement room

    I could never say enough good things about Mud Monkeys. After searching on Homestars and getting 4 other quotes, I chose Darby and his team because theirs was by far the most reasonable, and Darby took the time to explain all the options that I had (interior, exterior, how extensive, etc.). He always had time to answer all of my questions (and I had a lot!), and was patient when I took time in deciding which option to go for. They were scheduled to start work about a month down the road, but I still figured that it was worth the wait for the quality of service I had gotten even up to that point. When they called a week later and said they could fit me in the next day, I was so happy! Darby's team, headed up by Nick, showed up on time every day, and were professional, polite, and friendly. They left the area so clean at the end of the job, that I wish they could come back every weekend! :) Darby came by after the work was completed to make sure that I was happy. He could easily have left then, but insisted that they come back to fix up the corner grading and waterproofing on the exterior of my place. I have already recommended Mud Monkeys to a friend, who is going to call them tomorrow, and I would not hesitate to hire them again if I had any issues in the future! Thanks so much, guys!!

    Exterior waterproofing

    We were familiar with the quality of Mud Monkeys' work, so we didn't give it a second thought when we needed work done on one of our foundation walls. Mud Monkeys tackled a potentially difficult project of waterproofing a foundation wall that was awkwardly underneath our concrete front porch. The team was professional, friendly, efficient and managed to complete the project within three days with minimal distruption. They kept the surrounding area of repair clean when they finished each day -- important, given we have children -- and left the area spotless when the work was done. All in all, a fantastic experience and I'd highly recommend them for any waterproofing work.

    Waterproofing house foundation on the outside

    We've had lots of workers at our home doing various repairs and improvements over the years and I have never had service that comes close to Darby's. When quoting, he was extremely clear about our options, his professional recommendations and gave us the facts without every making us feel like we were being "sold" to. His workmanship was excellent. We've had absolutely no problems in the areas that he waterproofed around our house foundation. Darby and/or his workers showed up when they said they would and were meticulous in keeping the area around the house as neat as possible (a huge challenge when you're doign lots of digging.). They carefully covered the plants they had to remove from the front of the house so they wouldn't be damaged, and they put all our landscaping back just how it was before. I was thrilled. Darby offered (and we've taken him up on it) to come back to re-level things as the ground settled. We've called him on a couple occasions for opinions on related work and he's always called us back quickly and tells us it's his pleasure to chat and give his professional opinion. Darby is a little higher priced than others for the same job, but worth every penny for the excellent work and service you will receive!

    Basement Exterior Waterproofing

    Our situation was critical. After a big thaw and some heavy rain, I woke up Monday morning to a steady stream of water coming in through our basement walls. It was practically a river. Silt and all. Darby was quick to respond to my call. He came to the house just hours after I called him. He was calm, empathetic and knowledgable. He emailed me a quote that same day, answered every question I had and gave me the time I needed to make my decision. Although getting other estimates proved unnecessary. By Thursday we decided to go with Mud Monkeys, and Darby even went out of his way to schedule the job and start it the following Monday to accommodate the vacation we were about to take the week after. Darby and his crew arrived on time that Monday morning. He walked me through, once again, what they were going to do, what minimal disruption my neighbour and I could expect, and precautions I should take around the work area. His crew were polite, professional, and friendly (they always said good morning as I left for work.) They even showed me their progress one morning and explained what they found (ie. inadequate waterproofing) and what they were doing. At the end of every day they always kept the work area well contained and blocked off to ensure our safety. The work was finished on time. In fact, technically, a day earlier than scheduled. We had several days of heavy rain since and our basement is dry as a bone. Darby himself was always available on the phone whenever I had a question or concern. He always took his time to explain everything. Even as we were on our way to the airport, I was able to speak to him regarding the depth and finish on the window well. Both of which he assures me he will take care of. It made for a stress free vacation that's for sure. I am looking forward to June, when Mud Monkeys comes back after the gravel has settled to pour the new concrete with a proper grade. My experience with Darby and Mud Monkeys has been so positive that I have already recommended them to 2 other friends in need of basement waterproofing services this year. And the transferrable 20 year warranty is an extra peace of mind. No more loosing sleep over my basement. Thanks Darby!!
