I bought a new house and when I took possession, I discovered a little mold and water damage on the baseboards in the basement. After going through a series of frustrating (and ineffective) fixes that my general contractor recommended, I decided to call in waterproofing specialists to solve the problem. Water was coming in through cracks made by improper lowering. Darby's company was awesome from beginning to end. We made an appointment more than ten days in advance and he showed up as promised and on time. His quote was highly detailed and matched what he quoted in person (which didn't always happen with some of the top rated folks here). The quote arrived exactly when and how he described. I did have to wait almost two months for him to be available, but it was certainly worth the wait (and the leaking was an annoying, but definitely not pressing issue). The job went exactly as promised (day one, dig down trench in concrete and install barrel, day 2 weeping tile, gravel, and barrier, day 3 restore concrete. I was really pleased with the crew, their professionalism, and the state of the space when they were done. Highly recommend.

It's been a couple of years since I had Darby and his team waterproof my basement which was leaking. I've waited 2 years before submitting a review just to ensure that there were no more leaks. I can attest to the fact that my basement is dry (after many big storms this spring and fall). Darby did a great job explain what he was going to do. His team arrived on time each day and cleaned up the site each day before leaving (as best as they can for the type of work they are doing). His staff were very polite throughout the job and they worked through some tough conditions (started snowing, high winds and cold temperatures). They cleaned everything up when they finished. HIs team even returned late in the spring the next year to add in fill after it settled in early spring as Darby said they would . Great job and highly recommended.

Almost one year ago, Darby and his team did exterior waterproofing on our 100+ year old semi in the Leslieville area. What professionals! Everything about the experience was great. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything as clean as possible, were respectful and friendly - all great. To give you an idea how non-disruptive the week long job was -- I gave birth at home to my baby mid-way through their job, and they didn't disturb me and the new baby at all. Sounds crazy to be waterproofing when a new baby is arriving, but they were fantastic and it was no problem at all. Last summer, we decided to underpin our basement. Darby's crew took care of everything, including all the inspections, scheduling the plumbing, and coordinating the crew. We were out of the house for most of the 6 week project, and simply called Darby every few days to see how it was going. He and his team took care of our house. If we hadn't had such a great experience with his team the previous fall, we never would have had the confidence to just leave our house with a group of contractors. But we knew his team would treat our home with respect. We loved the results and can't believe how different our basement feels. We've had a few folks in who work in the business who have commented on the professional job his team did. Very satisfied - I would not hesitate to contract Darby's team and would highly recommend them to anyone. Best contractor experience I have ever had.

We had a very tight space between two century old homes, 13 inches, and mud monkeys did an incredible job digging out in between our homes and applying waterproofing. My main reason for doing this work was a termite problem and the seal provided by mud monkeys should alleviate this problem. I have noticed that my basement is getting drier. They also did a great job cleaning up afterwords.

These guys rock. They did a great job at a great price. I shopped the job around and these guys came in with a totally fair price and then they delivered excellent work. I had a minor beef with the way the downspouts were put back and they came running back to set it right. Great service. Great quality of work. They don't oversell you on a bigger solution than you need. Highly recommended.

Hired Mud Monkeys for exterior and interior waterproofing as well as digging out a section of our basement (to rough in a bathroom). Nothing that I can say here that hasn't already been mentioned several times before. Very professional and accomodating. Went above and beyond the call to help us move stuff from around the side of our house and out of our basement and coordinated with the plumber. Darby kept us informed on a daily basis as to exactly what was being done. Mitch and his crew were excellent - friendly, hard-working and punctual, and always asked if we had any questions and made sure to clean up after working every day. Would highly, highly recommend.

These guys are great. They helped us renovate our old damp, moldy basement by excavating, waterproofing outside and in, and build an exterior entrance to our basement. Darby worked closely with our contractor to cut the new door way and a new 40"X58" window in our front brick wall. Always on time, always on budget. Darby was personable and a great resource for other reliable professionals and trades. He helped us to problem solve around a number of issues and satisfy the concerns of the bulding department. Our basement is now, dry, deep and warm. We are absolutely satisfied with the quality of the work and with the experience of working with Darby and his crew. His word is his bond.

Water leeking into basement after bad summer of rain. Contacted Mud Monkeys for a quote. Darby was very gracious and the quote was reasonable. Team was on time, job was on budget. They didn't hesitate to answer my questions as they worked on the job and showed us why we had the water damage and how they would fix it. Didn't mind me taking pictures as they went along either. Very satisfied and hiring them again to finish the basement from the inside.

From the initial estimate to the work to paying out the final amount owing, Darby and his crew went the extra mile. When providing the estimate, Darby explained thoroughly the options with recommendations considering my particular context. When the scope of the work changed, Darby came out to assess the work again, point out possible issues that I might want to address in future and was extremely fair with his pricing. Justin and his crew who worked on the basement, were very respectful of the space. They made sure to clean up at the end of each day and Justin was very knowledgeable and also provided some insight into some plumbing work that I should consider doing. The crew was very efficient and at the end of each work day I was always impressed by how much was accomplished. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of waterproofing.
