    Roof - reshingled

    I had my roof re-done in 2018 by E.W. Smith and I can't say enough about how happy I am with the results! His crew was super tidy, did good work of the roof.

    Evidence of small leak

    I know Earl from many years ago when he finally was the only roofer I found to fix a flat roof and flat skylight. I had problems for many years with other roofers. At my new house, I called him again for help. He made a careful inspection and recommended an adjustment with the roof and how rain could potentially be blowing in. He was honest and said this could do the job instead of a major repair or replacement and it did the job. I’ve been here for 8 years now and that was about 6 years ago. Thank you Earl! I would recommend you and your company to all my good friends!

    Roof reshingling and metal replacement

    In early April we were in a difficult spot - our roof job was halted with cold weather and when warm days returned in March leaks appeared in our ceilings. When we got no response we terminated the contractor and called E.W. Smith Roofing - a team came promptly, inspected the roof and identified the causes of the leaks as well as other problems with the previous work. Both supervisor and crew worked through cool weather in April to complete the job rapidly with explanations of the work and regular billings throughout. We regret that we did not engage E.W. Smith Roofing to start our roof job but we are grateful that this firm responded to fix the leaks and complete the job properly.

    Shingle repair and roof inspection

    Earl responded to my service request promptly on a Sunday evening, and he and his team were out Monday AM to address our issues. They were kind, courteous, and explained in detail the results of their roof inspection, and fixed the fallen and loose shingles that needed immediate attention. I would happily refer friends and family to Earl and his team for their roofing needs in the future.

    Excellent Quality Work

    The roof installed by Earl and his crew looks great. It has worked perfectly in the rain unlike the old one. The railing was put back in place and is super solid. You would never know that it had been removed. Thanks for the great work - on this latest section as well as the main roof and skylight that was installed a year or so ago. If I had another roof to update I would hire Earl and his company again without hesitation.

    I would not use any other roofer

    Recently EW Smith Roofing did a small patching job for me, but I have employed them for complete roof rebuilds as well. This is a family company that really cares about their work. Skilled, reliable, reasonably priced and honest. I highly recommend this firm.

    new roof

    We are very satisfied with the work done by E.W. Smith Roofing. The company's working crew was professional. They were quite capable of putting a replacement roof on a very steep three storey home and a small flat roof.

    Re-Shingle roof

    First used E.W. Smith to put a new roof over my front porch. Did an excellent job at a reasonable price.The 2nd job was re-shingling my Peak roof. There was more damage than first thought, but it only cost an additional 580.00 but the job was professionally done and they cleaned up the job site as well.

    Searching for a leak

    About a quarter of the roof needed to be repaired and shingled but apparently the leak was not a roofing problem. The date to start work was changed two times the night before and the amount of shingle required was underestimated so another day was required. The men doing the work were pleasant and knowledgeable but I was not happy with the price I was charged and the fact that the problem did not get resolved.

    Fixed The Roof

    I had a leak in my ceiling. Earl, of E.W. Smith the owner, came over and after inspecting the roof told me it was in reasonable shape. He felt I could get a few more years out of it. They fixed the roof by replacing a vent, flashings and nailing down loose tiles. I still have loose tiles coming off two years later but at least no leaks.
