    Furnance Repair

    Due to defective part three different technicians, Fahid, Joe and Chris had to come to perform service. All three were very knowledgeable, processional and courteous. Especially Chris Degouveia was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and went out of his way to go and get the second part from the supplier so that I did not have to stay without heat over the long weekend. He acted way beyond the call of duty. Thank you very much guys.

    Water tank

    Great customer service today from Wes! He did a 4 point check and determined the issue was the gas valve but decided to replace the unit because he felt that we would experience more issues with it since it was getting old. HOWEVER, Reliance has visited our house 5 times in the past 2 months and this was the first time anyone was able to fix the issue.

    New UV Equipped Furnace and New AC

    The sales rep Brendan was very good to deal with, understood our concerns, provided an excellent offer while giving us time to assess and compare (not high pressure like a previous company). Install team Trevor, Garey and Brent did an excellent job, also cleaned up and walked us through the system and our questions.

    Heating (NEST)

    John S. from Reliance came this morning and was polite and knowledgeable. He fixed my thermostat problem right away. I was using the NEST but after 3+ years it started going wonky where when the heat kicked in, it would go way past the set temperature and the only way to turn it off was to shut the power off to the thermostat (NEST). Apparently the NEST works best when there is a 'common' wire dedicated to charging it. However speaking with John, most homes only have 4 wires and not 5. Though NEST is made not to require 5 wires, the trickle charging didn't last past 3+ years for our NEST unit. Anyway trying to weigh my options with NEST. By the way, book your appointments very early because I called them at 8am in the morning on Wednesday October 8th and they didn't have anyone to send until Friday October 10th... Though I had no heat!

    New Furnace

    I had Jon Eagle come into my home to talk to me about a new furnace he was very friendly, polite and professional covered all the information and gave me choices of how I could purchase the furnace. Asked us if we had any questions or concerns. Completed the paperwork and reviewed same with me, later that day he forwarded the information as promised with a very nice email attached. Matt and Leo installed our furnace and once again they were very friendly, polite and professional answering all my questions and I would highly recommended these people and the company to close friends and family - Reliance should be very proud of these three individuals. Great job by all.

    water heater

    The service people at Rescom made an inspection of my leaking water heater on the same day I called Reliance.The Rescom team of Ken and Cody were friendly and courteous. This team was able to replace my water heater the following day and they worked quickly in doing so.

    New Furnace

    October 9th, 2014 To: Reliance Home Comfort, This Letter is to let you know that how pleased we were with the installation of our new Furnace. We appreciated Matthew Santos’s quick response to our call and his input as to what needed to be done. He is very professional and knowledgeable. We are thankful to Matthew Santos who helped us to make the right decision. We were very pleased with the Installer Harry (Employee # RCOSA177, Manager Mario) and his team. They were very professional and friendly. The entire process went smoothly from start to finish and they worked non-stop from the time they arrived to the finished project.     HVAC repair

    Heater wouldn't fire up.. Called up Reliance in the afternoon, they had soneone over that night that got it all fixed up. Niw I have heat before it gets too cold. Excellent quick service!

    furnace

    A technician came in April to clean our furnace and told us that one of the parts was going and that they didn't make that furnace anymore so they wouldn't be able to get the parts and we would have to buy a new furnace. We called a sales representative who came over and informed us that we didn't need a new furnace. He knew that they had installed the furnace in 2003 and that there were parts for it. I was totally shocked at how honest he was. His name is Bill Wright. I highly recommend him.

    Furnace Installation

    I had a new SmartAir furnace and air conditioner from Reliance installed on September 27; I had some difficulty understanding how the thermostat worked, as it seemed considerably more complicated than the old one I had had for years. I thought it wasn't working right, that it had been wired incorrectly or something, and was regretting having given up my old one. Service technician Phil Latour (Team Member #950) came to my house and did an incomparable job of checking the installation and explaining to me how things worked. He took the covers off the thermostat and the furnace, so he could check the wiring of both (all of which proved to have been done absolutely correctly). He explained to me how the thermostat worked, and had me practise changing the temperature and so on, until I was clear about what to do and how to do it. He really went beyond the call of duty, washing the steps of my basement stairs, which had gotten all dirty when the furnace was brought down to the basement, and putting on the cover of my air conditioner for me. He was great! And now that I understand how everything works, I am very happy that I did make the purchase.
