    Home Furnace Repair

    I called Reliance regarding noisy furnace. Dispatched technician Brent Gowan (#1414) was able to diagnose the problem within minutes, which was a bad vent blower. He ordered the part which arrived within hours. Brent was very professional, pleasant and very helpful. Unlike typical home appliance technicians, Brent took the time to listen to me describe the problem and addressed it in a very competent manner. Thanks Brent.

    Service

    Today I received an excellent technical service from Reliance under my Furnace comfort plan. I am very satisfied with the knowledge of the Technician name Darek Phang (employee ID#2393) and maintain ed my furnace. He knew what the problem I have before he find and also give me some important tips to maintain my heating system smooth and working. I really enjoyed with the experience I have and would like to suggest my other friend about this plan. Great Job done Darek and Thank you!

    Repair of Furnace

    A couple of days ago we started smelling something burning. Me and my hubby checked each and every corner in the house but did not find anything. In the morning there was a very sad surprise - the furnace stopped working. I called Reliance at 7AM, a very nice lady (was her name Valerie?) answered to me. Even though I was not able to answer some of her questions she did everything to calm me down as I was frustrated with the situation and set the best time for the technician to come at our place to figure out the problem and fix it. Technician was there in time, very helpful, he clearly and in very simple language explained the problem; however he was not be able to fix it right away, so he promised to come back next morning. He answered all my numerous questions and fixed the problem next morning saving us from freezing. Unfortunately I did not ask the name of this gentleman. He was extremely helpful and pleasant person.I would like to thank Reliance staff for your assistance in this urgent matter. Thank you for your business!

    serious gas leak in water heater

    After investigating an odd sound from the basement I discovered both a water as well as a gas leak from our water heater. Since I had been past that rm mins. earlier without hearing the same sound or smelling the gas I assume that the leaks just started. By the time the fire department arrived (5 mins) the odor was throughout the house. Since the unit was a rental, Reliance came to replace the water heater but when the tech. arrived he would do so only after we agreed to have him replace the venting pipe (not up to code any longer $236.74). When I inquired about the frequency of such an occurrence I was told that there are safety measures in place so the gas should not leak. Well leak it did and a lot. A major gas leak according to the fireman in charge ( his words to dispatch). I asked that someone contact me with a explanation after an examination was done of the unit and was assured by the tech. that his supervisor takes these incidents very seriously and would phone later that day (Nov. 29). Since I heard from no one I e-mailed on Dec. 4th and received no reply. If this leak had occurred even 1 hr earlier while we where sleeping and the furnace kicked in (it was a cold night) one could only imagine the results. Always very satisfied with Reliance until now. Not impressed.

    Hot water tank

    I moved to a home in Ajax and few months later my hot water tank, that previous owners installed and had a contract with Reliance Home Comfort, was tagged by my gas company. Reliance investigated the issue and fixed it for free. I am very grateful to the Service team..Mike, Andrei...etc. I realize they didn't have to pick up the entire cost as the history of what was done and why was unknown. They were professional and customer focused. I would recommend the company to anyone.

    Noise from Heating System

    Under Maintenance contract so no specific charge for job, above amount is monthly charge.. Dave BEA2077 was fantastic and spent quality time looking for the fault, a mouse like noise from the heating. After some Sherlock Homes detective work he figured out that it was the gas meter so nothing to do with our system. A real pleasure to have around the house and a credit to the company. Incidently amazing service as only phoned the call in 9.30am and he was here by 11am.

    Repair to my furnace

    Ryon Wells came to my house to look at my furnace. It was making a racket. He knew right away that it was the blower. Left and came back in 10 minutes with the part and it was fixed. Besides that when I called i thought I would have to wait a few days for an appointment but instead Ryan came within 2hrs. I can't believe the service we got today. I am ver pleased. thank You very much.Employee 1558 Ryan Wells job well done.

    Water heater service

    We had a very noisy and faulty water heater which was a constant problem. Had to take lots of cold showers in winter time!!! We requested service form Reliance who sent their service technician Gurmeet. i have never come across a more friendly, courteous and helpful service technician. Gurmeet not only diagnosed the problem but went the extra mile to get a valve and do instant replacement. He ensured that every problem was fixed before leaving. Thanks to Reliance the noisy and malfunctioning heating is fixed and we don't have to worry about water going cold on us early in the morning. Kudos to Gurmeet for excellent service and for going above and beyond to resolve the issue. Thanks to him i am a very satisfied customer and will recommend Reliance to others.

    Water Heater

    I needed a technician, within 25 mins of calling John (tech #2321) showed up. Great guy, very chatty, personable and knowledgeable. Advised we need a new water heater by 3:30 everything was completed and it looked like he had never been in our house. Fantastic experience!!

    install new furnace

    Starting from the initial 1-800 call to the price quote from Tim to the install by Joe and Abdel the service was great. Not being an emergency, it took 1 week for the whole process. The advertised savings of $700 for a new furnace, plus the $250 Ontario Power mail in rebate was an incentive to replace the 26 year old furnace. There were a few challenges to the install but Joe and Abdel professionally handled them. All in all a pleasant experience.
