    A/C pump and water heater

    Customer service is very bad. Problems with my invoice for few months. Called for service repair but never had a call back. Had to call every week for them to come. Don't ever buy from them. They don't take care of customers.

    Furnace repair

    Called at 3:45 because my furnace was not working. CS rep, Imad or Emad(....sorry for the spelling) told me serviceman would be there between 4 - 8. Jamie (team member# 0302) arrived at 5:30. He was professional, courteous, and quick. 25 - 30 mins. later a part was replaced and heat was restored in my house. Best part is it didn't cost a penny because of the Home Protection Plan. Good stuff!

    Incredible bad sevice

    Our tankless water heater is malfunctioning, losing pressure and leaking. We expressed the urgency to CSR, requesting an experienced technician. She was polite, noting our requests. We called last Thursday. A technician arrived six hours later. Impressive BUT admitted to knowing nothing about heater, he phoned someone, ordered part and left. That's it. Week later no parts,no repairs and more important no contact with us 're delay. . It was always left to us to follow up which we did earlier on.....By any standards, the service sub standard at best. Enough...Yesterday called private company, today fixed. Optics? The parts ordered by Reliance technician were wrong. Sorry to give 0. We have little choice. they'd ordered wrong parts Optics terrible.

    Furnace

    This all started out as a routine annual service and spiralled really quickly. It all ended extremely well however. Reliance Gas Tech. Ivan came to our home and fortunately discovered some nasty stuff with our furnace. The unit is 25 years old and I had realized it was a matter of time until a replacement would be happening. Ivan was thorough, professional and sensitive to our issues but he shut us down for our own safety. He put us in touch with Sales Advisor Scott who was at our home within 4 hours...as we were now in a no heat situation, even though winter hasn't hit, it is right around the corner. Now Scott is a sales rep. and I get that, but this guy as a former tech. himself and I never felt that he was pressuring or upselling. He listened, took detailed measurements and made recommendations based his knowledge. He even told us not to consider certain pieces of equipment as they were more than we needed. We then discussed costs and they were reasonable...not the cheapest I'm sure, but I know you get what you pay for. He called from my home at 8 pm and had an install lined up for 10 am the next day. As arranged David and Jonathan of LBP Heating showed up as arranged and did their thing. These guys are personable, professional and know what they are doing. I can see why they are Reliance Authorized Contractors ....they are excellent ambassadors. A Reliance auditor even came to our home during the install to make sure everything was going according to plan. Now that it is all finished, I already feel the improvement. Well done Reliance et al.

    Water Heater.

    Paul Wrobel employee #2060 was the technician sent to service our water heater. He was extremely professional and courteous from start to finish. The work was done properly and quickly. Paul was nice enough to follow up and ensure that everything was in working order. Overall the Service experience from reliance as a whole was great. From the employee on the phone, to the short wait time for the service appointment and finally our experience with Paul Wrobel. Its nice to see a company follow through on their word like this. If I had a choice in the future I'd ask for Paul directly.

    Hot water tank maintenance

    Their services are part of the monthly tank rental. We moved into this house recently and the Reliance tank was already here. The first problem was that only the hot water would start vigorously then change into an almost trickle. I called them, customer service is always polite, but they sent a punk kid, maybe 19-20 at most fresh from school who basically didn't do a thing. I forgot to mention I had increased the heat on it two notches which made the water almost scalding. He recommended I turned back down one notch and see what happens. I did and then the trickle hot water came back. I called again, this time they sent an older gentleman who drained the tank a little bit, and probably loosened some sediment in it. He said to give it a try this way and see what happens. It works Ok water flow wise on the first floor but I have to wait a good minute on the second floor for the hot water to come into the shower, which I don't think it's normal. My opinion is this. If they would've sent me a properly seasoned HVAC installer in the first place, they would've probably detected my problem and tell me whether or not my tank is defective. Not sure I would do business with this company if I originated the contract. However, there isn't any competition in this industry. Enercare charges the exact same monthly as them. FOLLOW-UP: After about 3 service calls, including a repair, it has been found that we need a new water heater. Needless to say, the last rep recommended a Rheem not a GSW, which we are having installed today, and 10 gal larger also, for a couple more bucks a month.

    hot water tank repair

    The technician James Laderoute was professional and efficient, nice and approachable. The technician possess knowledge of the product line and was able to trouble shoot the problem within minutes which is a trait that is unusual these days.

    Furnace repair

    This was the second service call by a Reliance technician. My wife and I chose to purchase the furnace insurance with our hot water tank rental, and certainly are glad we had. We have had multiple issues with reliance supplier contractors previously, and have learned to always ask for a reliance technician. The first service call was by Jason. He spend a lot of time checking our system, even though it was evident he knew the issue immediately. He spent a great deal of time checking all the components to make sure they were working properly, and replaced the part without additional cost to myself. He was very friendly and explainied to me the issue in great detail. The furnace ran well for about 10 days after, and again shut down. Reliance sent a technician out the next morning. The technicians called shortly before their arrival, arriving right at the end of there scheduled timeslot. This time I had Randy and new hire Ryan. They had discovered an issue with the vent pipe due to installation with the previous homeowner. We had been running AC all summer without issue, but now that we had just began running heat there was water collecting in our vent pipe which was causing a low flow situation inside the house. They were able to quickly fix the problem for me, and rechecked the system. All of the components on the furnace were still working correctly as per original Jason's inspection, but because the furnace hadn't been running at length, our guess is that the water had taken a long time to collect and finally shut down the system. Overall very satisfied with the care that the technicians take with our heating and cooling equipment. They always take there time, they always explain everything carefully and fully. I will no longer except a contracted person for my service calls, I always ask for a real reliance technician.

    hot water tank

    Tim was sent to repair hot water tank . ArrIved promptly. Dirt had fallen in by tank due to repairs to porch. Tim cleared area in order to get tank going even though it wasn't part of his job. Very kind, and excellent customer service for elderly customers. Went above expectations, and completed work quickly. Thank you Tim!

    Air Conditioner and Humidifier installation

    I am so very IMPRESSED with the terrific service I received today when Matt Brant and Nick Gucciard installed my Air Conditioner and Humidifier. They were two of the nicest men I could have had work in and around my home. They showed me respect and were friendly, demonstrating a high skill level and efficiency. They worked well as a team. They left the work area inside and outside my home spotless. Matt took time to demonstrate the use of both the Air Conditioner and the Humidifier, explaining the function of each and what I needed to do seasonally to maintain comfort in my home. I appreciate giving my business to such a company when such skilled and punctual and nice young men come to do the installation. Thank you, Matt and Nick. It was a pleasure to meet you and you did an AWESOME job. All the best to both of you, Anne.
