    Furnace

    Wanted a service check before purchasing the unit. Told I would get the bill in the mail. Haven't officialy bought the unit, wasn't told service would end. Asked for a service check because a tube wasn't tightened enough when first installed. Told that I would be charged. Was told previous bill was detucted from the final payment..it was not. Called was told it was detucted but then added on. Asked about the time frame for the previous month. Agent was confused and was telling me about payments that were incorrect (numbers didnt match up to numbers on bill). Talked to about 4 people.

    Water heater installation

    I contacted Reliance this morning and have a new water heater this afternoon. This is too good to be true. Jeff, team member 3325, was punctual, courteous and very informative. I would highly recommend this company. Thanks for doing such a great job and so quickly!

    A/C not functionning

    We had an apparent thermostat problem, but the particular, methodical, knowledgeable approach of Barry G (RNK1691) discovered the real problem outside in the unit itself where mice had created carnage. His persistence, customer-centred attitude and interaction, and work-ethic are outstanding. We have cool! Thanks Barry taking your time and our call, and thanks Reliance for arranging such immediate service during this busy heat-wave.

    Furnace and AC Replacement

    Jeff (1023) and Matt (2824) installed our furnace and AC and were great. Arrived on time and finished earlier than expected. They discussed with me the changes and how best to complete the install before starting. Excellent install and they cleaned-up so it looks like they were never here.

    Air Conditioner service visit

    I called Reliance on the weekend when I noticed my furnace was leaking. I was happy when I was able to get an appointment for Monday morning. I don't have a service plan with Reliance so I was told that it would cost $99 for someone to come take a look at the furnace, which was fine with me. I was told that the technician would call when he was on his way but he just showed up. When I spoke with the technician he seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. When he had finished looking at the furnace he told me that there was a problem with the a/c coil and that our machine would need to be replaced. He replaced the draining tubing and added some venting to help solve the problem for now. It turns out it cost us $222.61 for the work he had done. I wasn't happy that he went ahead and did work that was an additional cost without first passing it by me, especially because when I went down that evening to look at the furnace, it was still leaking. I wish he had told me what the problem was before he had done the work so I could have saved myself $100 to put towards a new a/c unit instead of work that didn't even solve the problem temporarily. I may have considered purchasing a new a/c unit with Reliance but after this experience I will be looking elsewhere.

    Water Heater

    Reliance may be ok to deal with if you're purchasing a furnace/ac etc but trying to return a water heater was a joke. I called 4 days in a row, was on hold for over 20 minutes x 2, told they would call me back (and didn't) and hung up on before i actually got someone that could help me....only to be talked down to about how i should have called them earlier about upgrading our water heater. They're still making it difficult for us to return because I don't have an account number with them and I haven't seen any sort of 'agreement' with them since we just moved in our home. That kind of service doesn't sit well with me at all.

    Hot Water Service

    I had an appt booked for between 1 and 5pm. Tech showed up at 12:15pm didn't call me and didn't come back. I was on my way home from work. I called back in and had appt between 7 and 11pm, at 7:30pm Christian called and was on his way. He had my problem fixed within 20min and took the time to make sure everthing else was working so he wouldn't have to return. He was excellent and very professional.

    Installation of new furnace

    I am writing this comment as a very happy customer. Being highly recommended by a trusted friend, I ordered a new furnace from Reliance on Thursday afternoon and got it installed one working day later on the following Monday morning. Two very nice gentlemen (Bruce Norouzi and Markus) came to our house to install the furnace. They came on time and were very knowledgeable, cheerful and helpful. They removed our old furnace, cleaned the area and installed the new furnace. An engineer friend of mine happened to visit our home when the furnace were being installed and that engineer friend had some recommendation regarding changing certain old rusty stuffs and Bruce and Markus were very kind to accept his recommendation and changed the stuffs. They also showed me that our old furnace had some faulty installations which could be hazardous to heath. When the installation was completed, they cleaned the entire area although I did not expect that from them. They took time to make me (a non-technical person) understand by explaining and demonstrating how the device works by showing the different parts and the controlled system. I was quite pleased with the service received from Bruce and Markus! Well done and great job guys!

    New furnace ,tank less Hot Water heater, Supply & On Demand,new central air and thermostate

    The crew from Ontario Mechanical Services, Russell, & Brian's team were very professional in their services. I would recommend this team of guys any day of the week. I have to say I was quite happy about the operation and the clean up there after! & We would also like to thank The Home Comfort Advisor Darryl Cherry, Thanks Darryl !
