We found RAAKSS on Homestars. WE contacted Robbie. He visited and made recommendations, gave us a fixed price to complete the work and a date when he could begin. After the initial visit, he kept in contact by email, responding promptly to our questions. He started the job on the date promised and completed it in the time he said he would. He and his assistant Chris were very pleasant and considerate. Robbie proved to be very competent in all aspects of the renovation process. He took great care with his work and told us to contact him if we had any concerns. Thanks to his guidance and skill we have a bathroom that we are extremely pleased with. We would not hesitate to recommend Robbie or to hire him for further projects. This has been our most pleasant renovation experience.

Robbie's attention to detail, knowledge and craftsmanship far exceeded my expectations. A friend who's an architect and an engineer commented on the perfect execution of his work. A happy ending!

Oh, Robbie, you've made my life SOOO much easier! I seriously can't recommend Robbie and his sidekick Chris more - Always on time, worked so hard and steadily, and overcame a ton of logistical problems with minimum stress. A total pleasure to have around and a great attitude towards his work. These guys are two in a million. My new bathroom is incredible and having laundry upstairs is a luxury I never thought I'd experience! Without a doubt I'll be calling Robbie again VERY soon to get started on my next project!

We hired Robbie to renovate our bathroom. It was very outdated, and the reno required the entire bathroom to be ripped out and several fixtures to be moved around. Robbie was very helpful in making product recommendations, and answered all of our questions promptly. We had the renovation done while we were away, but our house was in good hands with Robbie. He completed the job as promised and kept us up to date via email. Even when we ran into an issue with parts missing in the shower, Robbie contacted the compay for us and got the parts delivered. We also ran into an issue with a defective part in the shower column, which Robbie ordered for us and came to install at a later date. The bathroom looks amazing and the layout Robbie came up with gave us a lot more room! Robbie was very thorough, and detail oriented. He and his assistant did a great job, and followed up on everything after the job was over to make sure we were happy with everything. We are completely satisfied with the work that was done and would definately hire Robbie for future jobs.

We hired Robbie for the 2nd time to paint our nursery and fix a lot fo small issues in our home in anticipation of the arrival of our twins. We had hired Robbie earlier in the year to renovate our shower and were so happy with his work that it was a no-brainer to call him when we needed these items done. As expected, Robbie was a real pleasure to work with. He was friendly and efficient and even took less time than the 2 days he quoted for the repairs to be done. Our nursery looks amazing and everything was repaired perfectly. We will definitely call Robbie the next time we need work done in our home.

We hired Robbie after reading all the reviews on HomeStars. We were nervous about any renovations after watching too much Mike Holmes. Robbie was a real pleasure to work with. He didn't ask for money up front, he provided a detailed quote, he only works on one job site at a time - which is great - and is more like a magician in some ways with the amazing number of things he can do. On the third floor of our 100 year old house we had decided to switch the kitchenette and bathroom locations. This entailed cutting a hole through the wall, re-plumbing the toilet, 2 sinks, adding a full shower, pot lights etc. There wasn't anything that Robbie couldn't do or had troubles with. In the basement laundry room we had to brick over a window, remove all walls, re-stud, insulate, vapor barrier, drywall and paint. The basement bathroom was taken to the studs and rebuilt, with a hanging vanity, feature wall, tiled walls and floor, shower and pot lights. Again, there wasn't any aspect that Robbie wasn't able to do. In addition to these items, he also installed crown moulding in three rooms, retiled a fireplace, built two closets, and renovated our craft room. We will certainly use his services again.

Our Laundry room and Den where absolutely useless and we needed a contractor that could help us make this part of our house useful. We found Robbie from RAAKSS on homestars and he responded quickly to our request. He helped us turn our small laundry room into a mud room, turn our den into a large laundry/storage room and renovate our garage entrance to the house to make everything flow properly. Robbie and his crew were very helpful, clean, and professional. He started and finished right on time. We even had a small problem, I forgot to mention that we wanted rounded corner beads on our drywall and he had already installed the square type. After a small email letting him know about the problem, he changed it immediately the next day and didn't even charge me (almost a half day of work was lost). The quality of the work was amazing and his price is fair. I would highly recommend Robbie from RAAKSS. They are very easy to work with and very trustworthy.

Robbie did what he said he would do, when he promised to do it, within budget, and completed the work in an extremely competent and professional fashion. PLUS, he accommodated a number of requests outside the original scope of work, did those well too!!! and still finished on time. I would use his services again without looking for other providers, or bothering with competing quotes!

I selected Robbie spring 2011 to renovate my 2 bathrooms after interviewing 9 contractors. What I liked about his approach is that he did not take money up front for labour rather a reasonable amount for materials as the job went along (namely – the old school gentlemen’s way) – that was a red flag in ruling out other contractors in the selection process and sent a message to me that he’d let his work do the talking. I personally grew up in the trades and was worried that the reno would either cost me and arm and a leg and/or I wouldn’t be able to find someone who could do drywall, tiling, electrical, plumbing and painting well….I had very high expectations as Robbie realized. Well, I can assure anyone looking that you’d be hard pressed to find anyone better in the renovation business in the GTA. Also, important to note is that I didn’t get around to posting this testimonial for Robbie until a few months after the job was finished and we’ve had a chance to use and enjoy our new investment. I think anyone who looks hard enough can pick apart/critique one’s work especially without realizing the challenges of the renovation industry so I’ll keep my subjective comments to a minimum. I could easily say that Robbie was clean, was on time, was on budget, etc. blah…blah…blah but bottom line: did RAAKSS prove their worth and deliver what was asked - the answer there is an obvious YES. So far, the comments from a number of our wide-eyed friends who have visited our home have been “incredible, amazing, wow” The rest is really a moot point.

Robbie Fraikin of RAAKSS was recommended to us by a friend who had used his services previously. We hired him to add a walk-in shower to our ensuite bathroom and create a new walk-in closet. He was professional, reliable, completed the project on time and also did some extra work outside of scope of project (repair to existing drywall, for example). Overall it was a good experience. The bathroom and closet turned out beautifully. Thanks Robbie!
