Robbie did what he said he would do, when he promised to do it, within budget, and completed the work in an extremely competent and professional fashion. PLUS, he accommodated a number of requests outside the original scope of work, did those well too!!! and still finished on time. I would use his services again without looking for other providers, or bothering with competing quotes!

I selected Robbie spring 2011 to renovate my 2 bathrooms after interviewing 9 contractors. What I liked about his approach is that he did not take money up front for labour rather a reasonable amount for materials as the job went along (namely – the old school gentlemen’s way) – that was a red flag in ruling out other contractors in the selection process and sent a message to me that he’d let his work do the talking. I personally grew up in the trades and was worried that the reno would either cost me and arm and a leg and/or I wouldn’t be able to find someone who could do drywall, tiling, electrical, plumbing and painting well….I had very high expectations as Robbie realized. Well, I can assure anyone looking that you’d be hard pressed to find anyone better in the renovation business in the GTA. Also, important to note is that I didn’t get around to posting this testimonial for Robbie until a few months after the job was finished and we’ve had a chance to use and enjoy our new investment. I think anyone who looks hard enough can pick apart/critique one’s work especially without realizing the challenges of the renovation industry so I’ll keep my subjective comments to a minimum. I could easily say that Robbie was clean, was on time, was on budget, etc. blah…blah…blah but bottom line: did RAAKSS prove their worth and deliver what was asked - the answer there is an obvious YES. So far, the comments from a number of our wide-eyed friends who have visited our home have been “incredible, amazing, wow” The rest is really a moot point.

Robbie Fraikin of RAAKSS was recommended to us by a friend who had used his services previously. We hired him to add a walk-in shower to our ensuite bathroom and create a new walk-in closet. He was professional, reliable, completed the project on time and also did some extra work outside of scope of project (repair to existing drywall, for example). Overall it was a good experience. The bathroom and closet turned out beautifully. Thanks Robbie!

We hired Robbie after reading great reviews for our kitchen reno project. We bought our kitchen, so we needed someone to remove old kitchen and reposition pipes, bring one wall down to make it open concept, change the hardwood on our main floor… Positive think about Robbie is that he would start project on time. He would come every day until the project is completed. He does not take any money up front . He is easy going and can give some good idea to the project. Our main disappointment with him was flooring installation. I ask him for advise regarding floating floor and he told me that it is future of the flooring and that I should go for it. It turns to be big mistake and I wish I never touch my old floor. Now walking on the new floor is like walking on the cardboard. It moves up and down, the gaps are showing between in the floor, in one word big disaster. To make it worst we did place our kitchen and appliances over this floor and to change will cost us even more money. Few thinks also make us wander if we made a right choice like: kitchen floor was damaged while installing the fridge; suppose to hook up dishwasher with hot water but did with cold by mistake.. After we are reading all the great reviews about Robbie we ask our self what went wrong in our project and why we were left with so many issues.

After noticicing that our shower was leaking, we had Robbie quote out the costs to retire our shower. His quote was just for labour (materials were extra) and he assured us that his costs would not change regardless of any damage that he would find underneath the tiles. This put our minds at ease as we live in a condo and were concerned that the shower structure may also be damaged. He made suggestions for the look of the shower and gave us some great ideas. Robbie went above and beyond to help us out. My husband and I went shopping for tiles and a shower door kit and were completely overwhelmed, we had no idea what to buy. Robbie agreed to come and meet us on a Saturday morning to help us pick out the right materials. He did this on his own time and at no extra cost. Robbie did the work quickly and if it wasn't for an issue in my condo with the main water switch, he probably would have finished early. The work looks amazing and we are so pleased with the result. We will definitely be using RAAKSS again in the future. We are planning on redoing our kitchen, 2nd bathroom and possibly our flooring in the next year or so and we will definitely be calling Robbie to do the work. Robbie is fantastic and I would highly recommend him for all your reno needs. Thanks Robbie!!

This is the second job I've hired Robbie to do for me. He built my cedar deck in the summer and we were so pleased with the results and the speed in which he completed the job we were eager to get him working on the total rip out and renovation of our main floor. Robbie is easy to deal with and he works on only one job at a time so it gets done as quickly as possible. He did major structural reno's for us as well as fine detailed finishing work and the place looks incredible. I trusted Robbie to manage all sub contractors and look after my property while we were away and he handled everything with no stress or worry. I have already recommended him to 2 of my friends and members of my family and I will heartily endorse his work to anyone who asks. IWW

Redid our upstairs bathroom. Very professional, did a clean job and also did some extra work outside of scope of project (fixed a tile in our hallway for example) Highly recommended, Robbie is professional, detailed orientated and ensures his work is the highest quality. Robbie goes above and beyond whats needed to get the job done right.

This is the second time we have worked with Robbie. He put in hardwood and remodeled our home's entrance two years ago. This year we decided to update our main bathroom plus do some other small things around the house. Overall it was a very good experience. Robbie is honest and hardworking, he finished on time and with minimal mess considering the extent of the job. The bathroom turned out beautifully. We are very happy with the results! We would work with Robbie again in the future and definitely recommend his work.

Robbie installed a door leading into our basement apartment. As with previous jobs, Robbie was efficient and on-budget. Two of our biggest priorities. Thanks for another great job well done.

Robbie was an absolute pleasure to work with. He showed up on time and worked like the energizer bunny until the work was completed - on time and on budget. He renovated two bathrooms in our older house and was very flexible working around the peculiarities of an older house. He was able to make changes on the go once the walls came down and was flexible when I changed my mind about a few details. Robbie can do it all, from plumbing and tiling to electrical, and he does a great job with the finishing work on the drywall. He even made friends with my dog. All in all Robbie was great to work with.
