We had two pergolas installed by this company in November 2020. While the installation itself went smoothly, our experience since then has been disappointing. Within four years, parts of two transparent UV-filter roof panels have broken and fallen off. We contacted the company in late 2024, but their responsiveness has been very poor. After multiple follow-ups, they quoted us C$800–1,000 for repairs—without inspecting the damage first. It's still unclear whether this quote covers just the broken sections or a full roof replacement. What’s especially frustrating is that we weren’t given any roofing material options at the time of installation. We later discovered that stronger, thicker polycarbonate sheets are widely available and commonly used. Had we been informed, we would have gladly paid more for better durability. Several friends' similar pergolas are going strong(10+ years) with sturdier sheets used. We expected more transparency and better service from a professional installer.

We hired Marathon HVAC to get our central air conditioner ready for the summer. Jordan was quick and easy to correspond with and had availability that was flexible for our window of time. I found Horizon extremely responsive. I had a serious blockage in our toilet at my group fitness studio. Someone was here to fix it within a couple of house after posting the job here. Two days later, the toilet was blocked again! Horizon to the rescue - they sent someone again, same day, to fix it without any additional charge. Haven't had any issues with this toilet since. I recently purchased a new home and I hired Patrick to refinish my dated ceilings by removing all the stucco (popcorn finish) and modernize them with a flat white mat finish. Ive hired a lot of contractors over the years and Pat is an absolute pleasure to work with. Very efficient, great communicator, professional and most of all experienced. He was so efficient working on my ceilings that he had time to tackle an extra project of starting the demo of my kitchen backsplash. He took care to protect my flooring with drop sheets and appropriately moving household items in all areas he worked and cleaned everything up at the end of each day and put everything back the way it was.
