In 2015 we did some renovations including a new roof by Penfold's Roofing (who were also excellent), and discovered a massive colony or community of carpenter ants in the roof of our large two-level 1960 post & beam. The ants were numerous, huge and winged; we literally had to vacuum them off the floor & walls after work! Pest Detective came and did an excellent job of explaining how the colonies work & function, including food sources, egress and exit sites, adding that the colony had likely been growing for many years.
They completed a full treatment, explaining it would likely need to be repeated in early spring 2016. We have just done exactly that, and the service tech was professional, friendly and very helpful. He was running 30 min late and the company communicated everything, including this minor delay, in a timely & respectful manner. The service tech went above & beyond in his treatment of the entire perimeter of our home, often doubling service to obvious high-ant-volume areas - including power & cable wires leading to the house that the little buggers were using as a suspension bridge! We are most satisfied with North Vancouver Pest Detective and appreciate the opportunity to write this review.
