    HELP ME!!

    This needs to STOP!! I had made an order paid in full, not only did I not get my order she will not refund my money!! I can see now she has done this same thing with many other people. Please contact me if you have had a the same problems with 4 U Furniture.     furniture

    Do yourself and STAY AWAY. She is quick to get your money but good luck ever getting a straight answer let alone your purchase. We waited 6 weeks for an order that was to take 1 week. In that 6 weeks we were told 50 different excuses. This woman should write a book. How this store is still in business is beyond me, it certainly cannot be from repeat business. No one would be stupid enough to deal with this store more than once.

    Dining

    I'm writing this because of the review below that has this store as a "10", and do not want someone to read that as the first comment. There is by no means this store should be rated anymore than a 3/10 with the service that you get. Marlee is a fabricator! I'm so accustomed to her made up excuses, the only pleasure I get from going to her store is to hear what new excuse she can come up with. Her newest one is "This girl has the key and didn't show up to work. So I can't open the door to the back to get you your stuff." Funny, I've been there at least 10 times to get my purchase and have never seen anyone else working there other than her. If she says she'll call you when the item is there, she won't. If she says the item will be there on Tuesday, they won't be. If she says I'll have them delivered tomorrow, don't waste your time at home the next day waiting for them. She is a full-blown deceiver and so is the delivery company she deals with. You need to threaten to get a refund to get your stuff (or expect to wait 5 weeks and visit the store many other times). I think this store should go out of business and more people need to report them to the Better Business Bureau (not just write a review here).

    3 chairs and a bar table

    This high mark is based on the product, and the ultimate outcome. My experience with 4 U Furniture was horrendous at first because I felt I had been hussled into my purchase as the salesperson was aggressive and sold me the product in a short time out of a catalogue. Upon leaving the store, my partner said "what just happened" referring to the speed and confusion around the sale as I had handed over my credit card with no discussion, because discussion was not permitted. She is slick and will not give you a refund. Calling this business will give you no satisfaction. They definitely give you the run around if you have a problem. You have to go there in person to sort anything out. The product was delivered 1 week after the purchase and we are happy with the stuff. Her sales tactics leave something to be desired, but the product is extremely satisfactory.

    Dining Table

    I bought a dining set from this store and when I got home, decided to do a search on the store and came across the reviews on Homestars. Needless to say that I was in a state of shock. I returned to the store the following day asking Marlee to confirm date of delivery and that the table would indeed be delivered on the agreed date. Marlee assured us that it would. I was so relieved to see that my purchase was delivered promptly. I was lucky enough not to go through all the hassles of calling to follow up on delivery etc... however, based on the reviews posted to date, I will not be recommending this store to any relatives or friends.

    Wooden Island/Table

    My story is no different than the numerous complaints below. Bought a piece of furniture Dec. 22....was still waiting for it Mar. 22. Agree that this company should be out of business. I got lucky in my ordeal and wanted to share a bit of advice. If you have paid by VISA (the one that provides a guarantee onf purchases), contact them, let them know that you have not received the product or service and they will debit the merchant's account and credit you back (very little questions asked). I would keep evidence (dates/times/record of conversations) that you've had as evidence), although VISA told me that the burden of proof rests with the merchant that they have delivered the product. Note that you only have 117 days from date of purchase to request a refund (I was at day 90 of waiting, with the same excuses as you have all heard. I'm sure Marnie was very unpleasantly surpised when she was short 800.00 in her account, which put a big smile on my face. A little payback for all the anguish she has caused all of us. Hopefully this advice will help some poor soul out there.

    Dinning Set

    Well.. Marlene is the owner but pretends to be a sales person so she doesn't deal with complaints. Order my dinning set and was told it'll be delivered in 3-4 days. 2 weeks later I was still calling the store. I had a party at my place so i had reached my dead lines. She promised I get it the next morning. I gotta call from an angry taxi driver that he cannot deliver every thing on his own.. WTF??? I paid my shipping fee so it could be delivered. Why a cabbi calling me? I wish I had seen this forum before purchasing my item. The dinning set arrived but the top glass wasn't the right one for the table. My party was the next day and I was sick of dealing with that old lady so I just called her and gave her a piece of my mind.. People like her should not be allowed to have a bussiness if you ask me.. DO NOT OVER PROMISE IF YOU CANNOT DELIVER...

    Pillows

    I purchased two pillows in January and told they would be in the next day. I said I was going to be away and would pick them up a week later. I went back and stock did not arrive but I purchased 2 more pillows that I took with me. I went back 2 weeks later and they were not unpacked and promised me they would be delivered to my house on Tuesday Feb 22. Guess what no pillows at my front door and today is Friday the 25th! Called them and left a message. My parents had the same thing with a dining room set. Paid in full promised to have it delivered they stayed home and no delivery this went on for almost 2 months same story as everyone else. They eventually demanded to get their money back.

    Chairs

    In Dec 2010 I bought kitchen table and 4 chairs and was stupid to pay in advance. We set delivery for January 2011 (Jan. 5 for table to my daughter place what is done after few phone calls) and chairs for date that will be determined when I come from vacation on Jan. 6. Since then I am trying to get my chairs unsuccesfully. Every time is something else - delivery truck is broken, delivery boy's brother is in hospital, etc. They even send me totaly wrong chairs and when my wife said that she is not going to take them delivery man wanted to force her to take them because he is going to pick up some other furniture and he doesn't have enough space on his truck. Today is Jan.30 and she said today is day. Will see. Any way I send complain to the Ontario Customer Protection Agency and maybe they can do something about this horendous bussines.

    Dining Table & Chairs

    My husband and I are also going through the same thing as many others here. We bought a dining table and chairs almost one month ago and were told at the point of purchase that it would be available for pick-up "in a few days". Whenever we call she has some sort of excuse for the delay. BUYERS BEWARE!!! DO NOT SHOP AT 4 U FURNITURE.
