Alliance Floor Source installed a unique flooring in our daughters room. We wanted something different and out of the ordinary. Lehel and Timea came up with a great combination to have a mainly soft carpet in most of the areas and make it special with a leather border. We were very impressed with their knowledge of the products and appreciated the time they took to make sure we know exactly what we are getting. Their prices are very competitive. All appointments were kept on time, we had no delays in the schedules which is impressive when you are working with the different trades. The installers were very polite, took very good care of our home. The end result is superb, we are so impressed! We highly recommend Alliance, they are amazing! Thanks for the great experience!

We had a water damaged walk in closet due to a toilet leak in the adjacent washroom. Our parquet flooring was aged in general and so I knew matching colour was going to be impossible. It was also hard just to get people to quote the job as it was viewed as being too small and/or parquet flooring wasn't done anymore. Lehel and the Alliance team really took care of us right out of the gate. From the professionalism that Lehel shown when he showed up to quote, he really walked us through the pros and cons and factors to consider in the repair decision. Once we awarded the job to Lehel, the service was prompt and scheduled well according to our availability restrictions. Lehel's guy Rudy showed up and conducted himself professionally and left the job well executed. Even the cleanliness was great given the dust that is normal for this type of work. In the end, the parquet match between old and new was better than I expected and very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend alliance for any hardwood flooring work and I will certainly use them again for my future needs. I'm extremely satisfied.

Alliance Floor Source was recommended to us after a broken water pipe damaged the floors in our rental unit. Our initial experience with Mike, who measured, quoted, offered product advise and prepared the contract was perfectly fine. The demolition crew, headed by Rudi, came on time, were polite and respectful, and did a nice job of demo and levelling the floor. I spoke to Zolton, the installation guy, when he called to arrange for his crew to be let into the apartment on the day of installation. He was pleasant and polite. When I showed up at the end of the day to inspect the work and sign the Work Order, (as per the contract) I was told by the installers that they still had some work to finish and "clean up", so I left. The Work Order clearly states that the crew was to not only protect all areas not worked in with plastic, but to "vacuum ALL areas where dust may have settled during your work" in particular "top of shelves, doors, window frames and sills and baseboards". I had no reason to feel that would not happen. However, when I returned the next morning (to let in the movers with the furniture) I found the whole apartment covered in job related debris…floors, counters, baseboards, - all the areas that they were supposed to vacuum or "protect" were totally covered in thick dust. The bedroom door, which they had removed, was left leaning against the fridge, and the plastic, put up in an effort (which failed) to protect the kitchen cupboards, counters and stove from dust, had been left partially hanging. There was also sawdust over the bathroom floor (an area they did not work in, but obviously did not protect, sweep up or vacuum) I immediately contacted Mike at Alliance to inform him of the situation. He asked for photographs, which I sent. Zolton called to defend his guys, saying they DID "sweep", and that he trusted them... despite having seen the pictures. (I felt he was insinuating I was untruthful) He also said he wasn't given any instructions to re hang the door!! It took us several hours of work to clean up the dust in the apartment, and we still could not get remnants of glue off the floor. The disappointing part was that not only did Alliance not acknowledged responsibility for their failure to clean up (despite it being clearly specified in their own Work Order) "Tina" actually blamed me because I wasn't at the apartment to inspect the job when the crew was finished. While Zolton had called before the crew arrived on of the job, no one called to let me know when they were leaving. Did they expect me to keep coming back or to wait around for them to finish up?? To sum it up, Alliance took all our money (as we were asked to sign a Visa slip for balance due BEFORE the job was completed - "just in case you skip town"), they faulted me for not supervising their sub contractors - who left our tenant's home in a mess - and they accepted no responsibility. I would suggest that no one sign Alliance's Visa slip for the balance due, but hold back a percentage. My experience is that they immediately put it through, even before I was satisfied with the full job. I take responsibility for being stupid on that one. We did ask for a "fair and reasonable" compensation (perhaps the portion that was allocated for clean-up). What they offered was a cleaning kit….after we had already done the cleaning ourselves. P.S. It turns out that Alliance did NOT "immediately" put through my credit card. My bank had simply approved it - and informed me that they were unable to cancel the charge until the situation had been resolved, and it would have to go to arbitration. Only after reading my review here did Timea (not "Tina") contact me again. She basically debated with me about the quality of their company's work, never taking any responsibility that possibly, just this once, things did not go as planned. She asked what I would take as compensation to change my review here, then offered us $50.00. I ignored the offer of $50.00…. and she emailed me that my card has now been fully charged. This is obviously a good company, but their customer service was, in this case, terrible…..

I am an Interior Designer and I have enlisted the services of Alliance Floor Source for many of my luxury condominium renovation projects. They are experienced in working in condominium settings and consistently complete the work with quality workmanship, on time, and within budget. Recently, Lehel and his team completed a floor replacement project in a luxury condo in Forest Hill and my clients were very pleased with his service. Wow!!! Talk about an amazing renovation experience! I walked into Alliance and was lucky enough to meet with Mike who not only guided me in selecting the best product but was also always available for any questions I had about the product and forthcoming installation. Thank you Mike! And what an installation it was. Rudy who demolished the existing material was so professional and very thoughtful about my home's cleanliness. Rudy, you are awesome! And Bella and his crew who did the install of by beautiful new wood floor. Wow! I can't believe how awesome you guys are. The floor you guys installed looks like in belongs in a million dollar home. Thank you Bella! Thank you guys! And finally George and his crew who stained my stair treads. What can I say. Again, you guys exceeded my expectation! The stairs look beautiful. I can tell that you guys really care about the job you do. Thank you very much George and the rest of the crew. Overall, I highly recommend Alliance Flooring as your best and only option. They have, without a doubt, the best people working for them. You have a repeat customer in me!!!

We need to replace the carpet in the Master Bedroom and closet in our new condo with engineered hardwood. It was not a big job but Alliance was happy to work on it regardless. The staff contact we had was very professional in their approach, very knowledgeable in providing upfront all the information we needed to make the decision to purchase their service. Potential costs were clearly provided so that there were no surprises. They made us aware of the high possibility of an uneven floor underneath the carpet which would require additional costs to level if warranty was to be upheld. Other companies we have contacted for an estimate did not alert us to this. The staff showed up on time, from the first appointment for an estimate (very unusual for contractors!) to the last one to make a small adjustment to complete the job. The floor looks beautiful at this point and we are very happy with the work. We would be even happier if they had brought a shop vacuum with them to do a better clean up job than a broom. I was particularly pleased with the staff offering me advice when asked about protecting the floor from the piano. He offered to cut me pieces of wood in two different sizes for the piano castors to stand on. He did that for free and all I had to do was pick it up from the store. I would call that going the extra mile. Overall, very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the work performed. Alliance may not be the lowest priced but they are worth the money.

I'm an interior designer and sometimes I complete minor renovations to houses/condos which are going to be put on the market. For this particular project the major challenge was to find engineered hardwood flooring to best match with the existing. The timeline was tight and Alliance Floor Source stepped up and found the perfect product that was in-stock and within budget! Working with them even under a deadline was extremely enjoyable...they helped save the day!

Most flooring stores pretty much sell the same products and are competitively priced. What sets one store apart from another is the service They provide you. Timea and staff were extremely helpful to me in picking out my flooring. I had specific requirements that only a few companies provided and Timea was wonderful at finding those exact brands. I had a hard time deciding on a final product but Timea was always patient and helpful right down to the end. I would surely use this staff again should I need any more flooring. Thank you!

we ordered cork tiles via Alliance flooring and they provided great service. the tiles were late in arriving but that was no fault of Alliance. Timea always promptly returned my emails and let me know where we stood

After reading the reviews, I felt fairly confident that Alliance would be the company we would deal with. We went to the showroom, spoke to Mike and arranged to have a site visit. After discussing options, we decided on a laminate flooring for the condo and are really happy with the choice. The two guys removing the old carpet were courteous and punctual though one left early, leaving the other with most of the finishing work. The floor installers were also on time and the installation went really well. The floor looks amazing and we won't hesitate to call them when we want to do the downstairs! Thanks!
