Pre-installation: Dealing with Lehel and Susan was a breeze! They were professional, very knowledgeable, and displayed no pressure sales tactics as we were making our decisions, which was very much appreciated. Lehel is a pretty funny guy too! Installation: At the last minute and to accommodate the painter, Lehel demonstrated great flexibility and agreed to a change in the installation dates. There was an approx. 1-week delay in the completion of installation (i.e. baseboards, doors); however, once completed, the floors looked great including the carpeting. Post-installation: We uncovered a billing error, called Susan and she immediately corrected it without a hassle which was great. We were disappointed with an additional charge for the cutting of the doors; it was not included in the written contract which was our oversight, but we clearly remember it being discussed in the pre-installation. Couple of regrets: #1) Lehel had forewarned us about not getting the cement floors perfectly levelled; to save on cost, we opted to not get them done and regret it now. The hardwood flooring is already showing some gaps because of the uneven base. #2) Be sure to think long and hard about dark hardwood; it looks amazing when clean, but shows EVERYTHING and needs daily attention! All considered, we would highly recommend Alliance Flooring and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. Thanks Lehel and Susan!

I have hardware and laminate floor installed by Alliance Floor Source this summer. Susan is a very pleasant sales/marketing lady to work with. She has good sense of color coordination and good knowledge of different floor material. And she is very patient and understanding. She is very helpful. I am very impressed by the professional way Lahel has shown from site visiting prior to the sale, after the sale and installation management. I appreciated that he took the time to discuss my concern and make recommendations suitable to my house situation. He showed his caring when there is concern and addressed it to my satisfaction. The people laid the floor were courteous and the workmanship is very good. Highly recommended.

I found this company after doing a Canada411 search and am so glad that I did. The company's customer service is what first hooked me - Susan was helpful and knowledgeable but NOT pushy. Once we started talking pricing, I was pleasantly surprised as everything was reasonable - flooring, installation, etc. My wonderful experience with the Alliance team continued after I signed the papers – everyone that I encountered was incredibly friendly and very professional. When the time comes for me to do another flooring project I will without a doubt look no further than Alliance! I will also continue to endorse Alliance to anyone who will listen! These people are really easy to work with. They were quick to respond to my request for quotation; gave me an itemized quote and all work was completed on budget and on time. In particular, the installation work was superb. They did a great job of matching the wood with flooring I already had installed elsewhere. The attention to detail, eg. fine detailed scroll cuts around my stone fireplace, was a real work of craftsmanship.

I'm glad we chose Alliance Flooring for our engineered floors. They were very flexible, and able to work within our schedule of other sub trades, and the work floor is excellent, especially the details around the open stairs, and transition to tile.

My floors were a mess!!! I had engineered hardwood (floating) over an uneven concrete sub-floor and the hardwood would sink in many places when walked upon. After reading many Homestars reviews, one Saturday I decided to visit the Alliance showroom to get inspired and to find a solution. I received great service in the showroom and Lehel made an appointment to come at my earliest convenience to assess the floors. Once the contract was signed, his team came in, removed the existing floor, levelled the concrete, installed the floor and even put in an great pattern with in a contrasting wood on the floor. The work was done professionally, on time, on budget and with minimal disruption to my life. I would highly recommend this team of dedicated professionals to anyone.

I was introduced to Alliance Floor Source via Homestars and was impressed by their stellar rating. I contacted them for an estimate and received a very quick response from them. During the initial appointment, we were impressed by Lehel's professionalism and enthusiasm for his work and thus, decided to hire this company to stain and refinish our existing hardwood floors as well as our staircase. The finished product (ebony stain with a matte finish) is perfect and I am extremely happy with their service. I am also impressed by Lehel's professionalism and his desire to please his clients. He went out of his way to replace a handrail bracket (that was misplaced by a painting company I hired) and even assumed the cost. Unfortunately, a few months after the job was complete, I had an accident and damaged my floors. Some carpet cleaner was spilled on the hardwood floor and corroded the finish and part of the stain.=( I rehired Lehel's company and they were able to repair the floor so that the blemished area blends seamlessly with the rest of the floor. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of product and service this company provides and I would definitely rehire (already did!) and refer to others! Thanks Lehel!

I could not be happier with the laminate flooring Alliance installed in my new condo. They pulled up and disposed of the old carpet and installed the flooring as promised and on time. The whole process was seamless. It was a pleasure dealing with Susan, John & Lehel. I would recommend Alliance without a concern.

I have really struggled whether or not I should write this review as I just want this experience to be forgotton, however I feel it is necessary because my experience with Alliance is very contrary to others I have read on Homestars. I hired Alliance based on their top reviews on Homestars. We have very shiny, dark maple floors and asked Alliance if they had any suggestions in reducing the sheen as we were struggling with the floors showing every crumb, speck of dust and footprint. They suggested a buff and coat and I was initially impressed with their helpfulness and advice. However the end result was something very blotchy and streaky. I complained and Alliance' only explanation was that perhaps the varnish they used was old. (???) Since the floor had to be replaced anyway, they agreed to give us a discount on replacing the hardwood floor by reducing the cost of the job by $100 (even though the buff and coat cost me almost $400.) I didn't want to argue so I hired them to install the floors. The guys who were given the job, 1 guy in particular, was very disagreeable and complained throughout the entire process about how difficult the job was and how Alliance was paying him very little for this job. I was extremely anxious that he would pick up and leave so I bought the guys lunch because I actually felt BAD for these two individuals who were working hard in my home. They finished the job but nevertheless there were some problems with the installation (like wooden planks that were sticking up and others that were severely damaged) so I called Alliance to have someone repair the job. The original guys were called back and one of them (the main guy in charge of the job) started shouting and demanding more money from me because the job was too difficult and he was getting paid too little for his efforts. I told him to take this up with Alliance but he continued to yell. His partner had to calm him down. I was very uncomfortable and unfortunately, my husband was bathing my baby daughter upstairs and did not witness this spectacle. I was able to calm him down but after they left, I was EXTREMELY upset and my heart was pounding. Susan arrived 2 minutes later (they were supposed to meet me together) and I explained that I would refuse to have those guys in my house again. Susan was very apologetic and later said she would be present when he came back to repair the job (to make sure he did not lose his temper again) but I find it odd that this individual needs to be "watched" by his own company. In the end, Alliance sent 2 other guys who were much more agreeable but I will never forget being shouted at in my own home by someone who I made every effort to help and even buy lunch for. Please beware of who you get if you hire Alliance; my recommendation is you go with someone else to avoid the headache.

The work was very professionally done. The installers were neat and tidy in their work and cleaned up carefully. Lehel and Susan were very accommodating in organizing the job. I was very pleased.
