These folks are the best Plumbing, HVAC contractors in Hamilton. Quick response, very professional tradesmen, and reasonable pricing. We found our AC system kaput on the Wednesday before our real estate agent had arranged an open house on Saturday. We were right in the heat of our late June summer heat and expected a tough time finding an available trades guy. One call had the problem solved with a new system installed next day at a great price. Really can't offer a higher recommendation. Fantastic experience.

We asked this Hamilton plumber to provide an estimate for a leaky drain and toilet. Their estimate was outrageously expensive so we didn't move forward. Weeks later, we received an invoice for $200 which included a $20 fuel surcharge. The estimate spent less than 20 minutes on site and they charged for an hour and a half. It's dishonest since they never disclosed their rate for estimating. Like the cost of fuel, estimating is the cost of doing business. In addition, the company failed to provide me with a written estimate and obtain a signed acceptance. I have since filed a complaint with the Ontario government and the Consumer Protection Act. Homeowners beware.

In a nutshell Archie Horn charged me for two separate visits to install water shut off valves. The original visit was lumped in with the other condo units in the building and no work was done. In fact they needed to return to actually do the work that they claim to have done originally. Major frustration since every time plumbing work needs to be done the main water shut off for the entire building needs to be turned off and this is on my bill!

Inexperienced plumber was sent on phone entire time. Broke shoe strainer. My entire kitchen and basement flooded as a result. Company wont accept accountability or return calls. $20K in damages

My GC and I both heard $1300-$1700 quote during site visit. Work done well but invoice for $2900 received. I called to discuss but no response. They’re now threatening with Collection Agency. Very disappointing they won’t contact me to explain/resolve.

Found the work to be excellent. The guys were courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. If any concerns, just ask Dave Jardine or one of the workers doing the job. They were very obliging, always cleaned up after the days work and got the job done. The energuy (rebate gov't program) who inspects the work, commented on what a good job that this company does.

Called Archie Horn on Monday morning (July 11th) at 8:15 and Rob was at our place just after 10:00. Diagnosed the problem and gave us our options. Ordered a new heater but it had to come from their supplier in Montreal. Booked us for second call Wednesday morning. Jeremy & James showed up and heater was installed and old one removed with only a minor hitch. Showed us how to work our new heater and they were on their way. Fast, reliable, courteous service AS USUAL! That's why Archie Horn has been our ONLY plumbing and heating company for the last 28 years! Highly recommend this business for any of your plumbing & heating needs. Thanks!!!

I have used Archie Horn & Sons several times for both furnace and air conditioning repair. Their work is excellent, competitively priced and their service and office personnel are a pleasure to deal with. I will continue to use them and not hesitate to recommend them.

I hired Archie Horn & Son to remove and replace drains and water supply in my home. We were renovating and creating a more open concept design and this required the repositioning of my plumbing. They also installed a direct vent water heater and moved my laundry room plumbing. They did a great job. No leaks, no issues and they left everything clean and ready to use. I highly recommend them.

We needed a new furnace as the one we had was almost 20 years old. We had a brand new high effiency furnace installed and the old one taken away. They men were clean, polite, and showed me how to use the new controls. When I thought it was making a loud noise, they came right back and didn't charge me to have a look at it. Everything was fine and it works great.
