    New Garage Doors

We had three wooden garage doors that needed to be painted every couple of years. Aurora Overhead Door installed three lightly used doors they had from another job. They are insulated making our cars cooler in summer and warmer in winter. They never need painting. They work perfectly. This company is first class. They are expert, dependable and provide excellent value.

    New Garage Door

The salesman (Greg) really knew his stuff. We were looking for a contemporary style garage door - different from the norm. Ended up with a stunning black door with vertical windows. The install was great - very professional. Would highly recommend this company.

    garage door opener

Aurora Overhead Door recently provided the most trouble free service that I have had in a long time. They installed my garage door opener 25 years ago. When it developed a problem recently, they quickly returned my phone call and explained my options. I chose to purchase a new garage door opener with better safety and other features than my old one. The price in real dollars was lower than the price 25 years ago. The installer arrived at the time specified, did the installation taking into account where we wanted the controls, and made other safety suggestions for us to consider doing ourselves. It was a pleasure doing business with Aurora Overhead Door and I would certainly recommend them.

    Clopay Garage Door

Door installed last summer, the seal and the aluminum piece supporting the seal got detached from the door this winter. They say is not warranty, is act of God!??? They do not want to come and fix it unless I prepay the repair ($130). Is the door designed for summer only? How come the rubber seal didn't brake, but the aluminum and the screws did? This is not what I call good customer service and staying behind the products you sell.

    Answer from pro:

Unfortunately this last winter was extreme with major ice build up under many doors. The ice froze the the rubber and retainer to the ground and the electric opener pulled it apart. If this customer calls me we can come to a mutual arrangement that will satisfy him. Ian

    garage door opener

I looked up Aurora Overhead Door when I accidentally damaged the remote control receiver on my garage door opener.  The opener was probably the original hardware from 15 years ago, and wasn't sure where I could find a cheap replacement before buying a new one.  The guy at Aurora Overhead took one look at the damaged part, went to the back room and found the exact replacement.  When I asked "how much", he said "no charge", and went back to his business.I would definetely go back to Aurora Overhead door to purchase my new garage door, and opener next spring.  They are truely committed to providing customer service, not just making a quick buck.

    Garage Door

We called Aurora Overhead Garage door a couple of months back because the spring in our Garage door was broken. When I called them they mentioned the cost of the repair and took my CC # down. When they arrived for the repair they were very courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, that about all the good things I can write about them. The repairman did the work and left without notifying me. Fine as long as it works. And it did work fine but not for too long. There was a wire still hanging from the door and he went without replacing some of the bolts. 5 days after the repair the door couldn't be closed fully and I called them again. Came for the repair again and as usual all smiles and this repairman to his credit did a much better job and replaced the bolts as well. However, after about a week I get a call from the company saying that the second repair was different to the first and that it was a broken wire etc etc. Finally, he agrees that on the first occasion they should have checked that but still mentions that the cost for the second repair will come out of my warranty.I never received any document as a warranty but anyway. Although they are nice guys, if I am to repair a Garage doors I wouldn't bother with them.

Without knowing the full details, it appears that we replaced a broken cable which may have broken after our first repair and as a courtesy this was done at no charge. We regret that the customer found us lacking and will review our procedures accordingly.

    garage door

I had an issue with my very old garage door. I was going to fix it, but due to its age and condition it was recommended to replace it. I got several quotes and found that other companies tried to 'oversell' me a door I didnt need (they insisted on a high insulated door). Since my garage was not attached to the house and was not insulated, Aurora recommended a basic 3-layer insulated door for durablilty and strength. The price was right, looks and works great! Thank you Aurora in helping buy the right door at the right price :)

Garage Door - Opener - Keyless Entry - Troubleshooting

I've owned a number of homes in the area and have used Aurora Overhead Door for each one. I have purchased a new door, a new opener and had keypad entries installed. I also called this company when my cable broke one morning, and the technician came by in less than an hour to help me get my car out safely so I could make it to work. While I was at work, the cable was fixed for a reasonable price. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a new garage door, opener, keypad or even just a repair.

Repairing my broken garage door cable

very prompt service, accurate estimation and best rate. I called them checking for the cost for replacing the broken cable, they swiftly provided estimate on the phone, which after comparison showed as best value, they came the same day, technician knew exactly what he was doing, replaced both cables in under 10 minutes with a smile on his face. They debited my credit card for the exact amount we agreed to.

    Broken Spring

We broke one of our garage door springs last month. When I called the fellow at Aurora Overhead and told him I wanted to buy the springs and install myself he asked me the size and then suggested I replace both springs. Well I managed to install the 2 springs but I screwed up the alignment so the door was lopsided. I called them back and they sent a technician over promptly who fixed the problem and even lubed the mechanism. He came and went before the wife came home so I looked like a star.
