Spray Foam Insulation Installation
Avenue Insulation has completed three separate jobs for me now and I have consistently received top notch customer service and workmanship. The team arrived promptly and ready to work. Once work was underway, it was done efficiently and carefully with special attention paid to detail. My home is now very energy efficient and comfortable with the thermostat set to a steady 65-66 degrees. I continue to refer Avenue Insulation to friends and colleagues without hesitation. Simply an excellent company to work with.

House Insulation

Spray foam insulation
Our initial spray foam job was done by a competitor of Andy's who left the place in a mess and had to be called back to add foam in areas they had missed or not put enough on. They were not called again. That's when I got in touch with Avenue Insulation. Right from the beginning I was impressed with Andy's knowledge and honesty. We have had Andy and his crew here 3 times now. All three jobs were done when on time and as quoted by a very skilled crew. When the boys arrive they take time to go over the job with you and address any of your concerns. When the job is complete a total clean up is done and you are shown, if you have the proper mask, material depths in all areas. If you are considering spray foam insulation do not hesitate to call Avenue Insulation. They do a great job because they care.

Insulation, removing walls, re-frame and re-trim
I have had a great experience with Avenue Insulation. From the moment Andy came to the house very early one morning to quote on the job through to the completion of work. There are a number of things that stand out for me. 1. Andy seems to be truly interested in helping his clients. I felt his recommendations of what to do/not do came from what he thought was appropriate and value-add, as opposed to his fees. 2. His knowledge and expertise. I had complete faith in the work he and his team were doing. And the result shows it was well-placed. We started with only attic and garage ceiling insulation. By the time we were done, we had also knocked down some exterior walls (together with insulate, frame, re-drywall and re-trim) and made some improvements to our master bedroom. 3. His care and attention to detail. Things had to be done to Andy’s satisfaction, even where I had not requested (he did ask permission first). For example, he noticed heating pipes running through an unconditioned garage, so he built a box around the pipes and enclosed them in insulation. Also, instead of making a huge mess, the guys would work on an area, clean it, and then move on to the next. 4. The people he works with. From Laara at the office to Francis, Jerry and others on the work site. It is quite amazing to watch what Francis and Jerry can accomplish in a day. 5. Pricing. I thought the pricing was fair. I am glad to have lucked into this company (by reading Homestars).

Basement Renovation
A pleasure to deal with. Andy was very knowledgeable and the process with booking in terms of co-ordinating with my contractor was smooth and painless. My contractor had also mentioned that Avenue Insulation had done a clean job and cut off excess spray foam to be flush with his framing which he said other companies had not done before. I would recommend this company to any of my friends looking to spray foam.

Attic Insulation
We can't say enough about this company. Great service started with Laura in the office, Andy who came for a consult and the two installers. Timelines were adjusted to fit our schedule, workers were prompt, reliable and professional. No surprises - great job!

Attic Insulation
Received a quote from this company and was very impressed with the attention to detail and knowledge on attic insulation, both over the phone and on-site. Customer service was top-notch...received several follow-up phone calls before and after the job to ensure it was done right.

Spray Foam
Laara and Andy from Avenue Insulation provided a level of customer service that I've never even heard of, let alone had the pleasure to experience. First off, Laara ALWAYS answers the phone. This is such a simple courtesy/luxury that I've grown to truly appreciate; almost every other contractor or renovator I've ever contacted for estimates or information goes straight to voicemail. On top of this, she is extremely friendly and accommodating. Speaking of accommodating, then there's Andy... The reason I was willing to pay a premium for spray foaming is that the old fibreglass stuff in my new home gives me hives. When the cleanup crew left behind a bit of old insulation, Andy himself returned to my property within 24 hours - on a Sunday morning - to set things right. The guy put in almost 5 EXTRA HOURS of work to remove all traces of fluffy pink stuff to my satisfaction. Who DOES that?! The 'other guys' who spray the same purple Wall-Tite Eco foam might get all the media attention, and I did get an almost-identical quote from them for the same work. But there's no way they could have provided that kind of service or paid that much attention to a single (and rather small-time) customer. No way. As a matter of fact, about the only negative thing I can say about Avenue Insulation is that they've raised my expectations for customer service to such a level that every other home renovation company I contact in the future (and I'm going to need to contact many of them) is doomed to disappoint me in that regard. If you're thinking of going with spray foam (even after that fear-mongering CBC Marketplace special about it), give Avenue Insulation a call. Seriously, do it now.

LOL not everyone gets a direct response like you did Bob! especially during peak season when everyone seems to call at the same time. Here the answer machine is indeed our friend. Likewise workload compels us to tighten up our borders especially with fall/winter demand, where some jobs invariably go the wayside. We simply can't get to them all, nor service beyond our capacity... and always appreciate when customers don't take this personally. So please don't put us on a pedestal ie) not turn this review site into a 'cult of the personality' we're just doing the best we can. Proper installation is the hallmark of this industry, so customers are reassured when its done right, or put right by a company that stands by their work. It's only when shortcuts get taken with sprayfoam, that customers are compromised as rightfully conveyed by the CBC. Thanks for mentioning it! We feel confident with our approach (so long as Andy gets his Sundays back) and greatly appreciate informative reviews which help everyone in the end. Thanks for a wonderful review Bob. Basement Insulation
After finding Avenue Insulation on HomeStars, I called them for a quote. During the call I was so thankful to talk to Laara, who is truly a wonderful person. She was the only person of the three companies I called that told me up front that my family and I would need to be out of the house for at least 24 hours after the spray foam insulation was installed (and even recommended we stay out for 48 hours as I am 7 months pregnant). That's pretty important information and I was surprised no one else mentioned it! Laara was so helpful, arranging for Andy to come and give us a quote. Andy showed up on time - literally to the minute - when he said he would (I'm constantly surprised how unusual this is with getting quotes) and really took the time to understand our needs, ask a ton of great questions and give me some helpful advice. The quote was ready the next day! The team that came in was careful, clean and left our house in good condition. We are thrilled with the job they did and would definitely recommend Avenue Insulation to anyone. A special thank you to Laara, who is truly wonderful!

The '24 hour relocation rule' IS essential info for residents with spray-foam projects in many cases --since it takes some planning around for occupants to effectively relocate. 2nd Floor of my home
I recently did a bathroom renovation and discovered that my outside wall had almost no insulation. Doing a lot of research, I found myself with way too much information and not enough facts. I figured if I was going to correct the problem. I needed to do it right... Calling around for quotes, I was lucky enough to talk to Laara at Avenue Insulation... I found Laara to be friendly and courteous... We setup an appointment and Andy came out a few days later. Andy checked out what was wrong and knew exactly how to address the issue(s). I was very impressed Andy's knowledge and his recommendation. He wasn’t trying to sale me something I didn’t need, he was trying to address an issue I had. Andy's recommendation was the logical and it pointed me in the right direction and it just made sense.... Larra worked with my schedule and basically had there come out when I needed them... (STRESS FREE)... The crew, Stefan and Mike did an amazing job and was very professional. They took their time and made sure the job was done right and cleaned up after them. My Reno took 12 months in total and I had Avenue come out 3 times. Each time I found there service/staff impeccable and second to none... Thank-you for making my insulation problem goes away, easy and effortlessly..
