We called in Better Contracting Services to fix a leaking flat roof that has plagued us for many years. The roof was replaced by a team of professionals who were friendly and treated the homeowner with courtesy and respect. The work was done on time (weather permitting) and no hidden costs. We have had several downpours since and no leaks.This is a company that "does it right"

We had a real problem with the flat roof on our additon including leaks, rotting wood and carpenter ants! The roof held water like a pool. Michael Graves and his team at Better Contracting Services quickly diagnosed the problems and in three days completely replaced the disastrous old roof with a properly draining and insulated one. I watched some of the work from my second floor window and was in awe how skillfully, precisely and efficiently layer after layer was laid down. Even my neighbour was impressed. They brought in their metal specialists for the sheathing and eavestroughs. We love our new roof and can't thank the team enough for a job really well done. I recommended them to anyone who needs roofing work done.

We are very pleased with Better Contracting! We had several quotes and were most pleased with the knowledge and professionalism of Murray and their team. Their quote was also much more reasonable than the competitors. We also used them, as our semi neighbours previously appreciated their workmanship. The team was professional, polite and hardworking. They even went to extra trouble to avoid crushing our garden out front and reinforced our deck so it wouldn't collapse. Project manager Tony kept me updated if anything came up. Fixing ancient flat roofs with layers of material can't be easy, especially in the heat. I'd highly recommend Better Contracting, particularly if you have an older Toronto home.

We hired Better contracting to replace our worn out roof and change the soffit , fascia and eaves trough. Right from the time Murray came to give us a quote we were impressed with the thorough job he did inspecting the existing roofing and trough. We were particularly impressed that he made a point of letting us know that the eaves trough etc. was in good enough shape that is was not necessary to replace it even thought we had requested him to quote on its replacement since we wanted to change colour schemes. The roofing job was done quickly and professionally with thorough cleanup and waste removal in a single day. We wanted to make a special note of the excellent work done by Marco and Matt who did our aluminum replacement. Not only did they do a thorough, professional job in a terrible heat wave, they also pointed out a better way to add troughs to and refinish our flat roofed porch than what had been originally planned. It’s nice to see people who take pride in doing their work well, instead of just getting it done as quickly as possible. The only issue we had with the company was some poor communications from the head office regarding scheduling and few emails that were not responded to. Overall we are very pleased with the work and will call them again if we need similar work done in the future.

Recently, we had a problem of racoons in our attic which were removed by a wildlife company. Jeff and his crew from Better Contracting Services not only coordinated with the removal of the racoons, were very prompt with the removal of the damaged air vents and the necessary repairs to the roof. This involved several visits to our home and though it was a small job, hey were always there whenever they were needed on very short notice. Their service was much appreciated. Jeff and his crew did an excellent job. We would highly recommend this company.

I hired Better Contracting to do a new roof for me a number of years ago. Was very please with their service. I hired them again to add eaves troughs to my addition, and to remove the downspout and realign the troughs. They did the work in January and patched the hole where the old downspout was. It leaked. They have been back twice to re-patch. It still leaks - directly over my back door. When I called a third time, we agreed to have section (about 10 feet) be replaced, at a charge to me of $150.00. They said they would do it. No one came. I have left several messages - by phone and E-mail - still no one has come to fix it or even reply to my messages. I get that this is a small job, but I am NOT a satisfied customer. I think a company should stand by its work and fix it promptly when they say they will. We are now headed into June and I still have a leaky eaves trough over my back door.

We first used Better Contracting in 2005 and we still use them to this day. We built an addition and Better Contracting shingled the roof and installed the soffit, fascia and downspouts. We've been extremely pleased with every experience. They're prompt, curtious, professional and they get the job done right, the first time. Even after the jobs were done, they were always there if we needed a spare part or two. Awesome customer service from beginning to end. We'vre referred them numerous time and will continue to do so.

I called a few roofing company s for quotes . I thought i was goingto have to sell my house.Because its very tall. I was wacthing tv amd saw then on tv and called. they came over gave me a price amd did it .They were clean and fast. I needed my roof done ,and called 6 or7 companys for quotes.And i thought i was going to sell my house to pay for it. I Was wachting tv and saw them, andi called for a quote .they came in priced the roof out ,and did the job. I dont know how much more i can say to thank them. keep up the good work thank you paul

We hired this company after getting a few quotes on how to fix our roof leak. Their salesman assured me replacing our flat roof would solve the problem and their price was fair. We went ahead with the repair, fixed the interior of the house that had been damaged by the leak and looked forward to a worry free roof. The next hard rain, the leak re-appeared. Better Contracting came back to try and fix things but the roof leak remains. They say that the flat roof section is not the problem and their guarantee only covers their work. We did not hire them to replace the flat roof, we hired them to fix our roof leak. The fact that I am on this site searching for reliable roofers shows their level of service. I would never use them or suggest them to others.

We would like to thank Steve and Debbie from Better Contracting for their excellent customer service and Proffesionalism. We needed some flashing on a roof to be cut down so that we were able to install new eaves for a customer. Steven the owner, was more than happy to help us and Debbie, better contractings work coordinatior, was able to set up a time for us right away and followed up to make sure the job was done efficiently.
