replace living room ceiling and minor wall repairs

I hired Buckner Plastering to remove an ugly tile ceiling in my living/dining room and replace it with a smooth ceiling, and to patch and finish several walls throughout the house after having extensive electrical work done. Not only did Kevin, Dan and the rest of the crew's work impress me, it impressed my painter and my electrician as well!

    Plaster & Drywall Work

Kevin and his team are professionals for sure. They did a a skim coat of plaster in my 30's era home and I was thrilled with the results. Kevin is a real artisan and has great ideas...he gave me some great suggestions for my basement renovation which his team completed the drywall work on. Don't call anyone else for your next plaster or drywall project!

    Ceiling and other repairs

Buckner Plastering completed the replacement of a ceiling over a stairwell in our 1920 era home along with work on a pocket door and the relocation of a dryer vent which involved attic work. The job was far more complex than the list might suggest. Buckner Plastering did a major soundproofing renovation nine years ago. What is noteworthy is that even though the company is considerably larger today and this job was smaller than our last one, the quality of the work continues to be of the same high calibre. From these two experiences, we can say that Kevin is unparalleled in his integrity for quality, knowledge and creative problem-solving. Buckner Plastering is successful on every job whether it may be small or large. Both jobs came in on budget, on time, excellent quality, little dust and an impressive cleanup etc. with a highly professional team. DOES A RENOVATION GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!

    Drywall and Plaster!

I almost didn't go with Kevin because he asked me to call him, and I prefer to deal over email, BUT i was in a hurry to get work done and decided to call. I'm so glad I did!!! He came quickly to give us a quote and was able to deliver a quote on the spot (probably because we were in a hurry). He somehow got guys to our house 48 hours later and it was GREAT! They did a wonderful job. Kevin came in and commented on a couple of things that weren't 100% that his guys did, but looked great to me. PERFECTIONIST!!! and his guys already knew they were going to fix the minor issues. The guys arrived on time, where courteous and overall, did a fab job. If I had more renos (and thank gawd i don't) i would hire him in a heartbeat!! THANK YOU!

    Buckner replaces problem ceiling

The ceiling in my old victorian home had acoustical tiles on both the living roon and dinning room ceilings . I removed the tiles as preparation for the new ceilings I wanted . Thiis left hundreds of pancake size blobs of adhesive.on the old plaster they had been attatched to. I also had very extensive plaster moldings on the ceilings and walls . Kevin was the only person who was able to come up with a solution to both problems . No one else i spoke to knew how to overcome the difficulties of creating a new ceiling without removing the entire ceilings and beautiful moldings. He and his men did a beautiful job . His crew were fast , polite , worked hard taking very liittle time for lunch breaks and were very professional in all they did . They also cleaned up and disposed of all the garbage. When I asked Kevin if they would also fix the cracks in my moldings. He told me they had already done that and also put a new skim coat of plaster over all the moldings - that's without being asked or being charged for it . I was very lucky to have found Kevin Buckner . Just as an aside ., my electrician who was putting in pot lights could not help comment on how proffessional and easy to work with they were.. Ian Kert

    Gut our house

We purchased a really old house that needed TLC. To make a long story short, there were a lot of problems that we didn't foresee once we started renoing and Kevin became our contractor. We have NO experience in renovatons. Kevin held our hands through the whole process, assisted us with great design ideas, and lined up trades for us (we even paid them directly. His drywallers and tapers were very nice and polite. The walls now look very sleek. The painter even commented on how he rarely sees walls as nice as ours.

    Bsmt reno

I had 2 months to gut and reno the bsmt of my newly purchased home in time for tenants to move in. Kevin Buckner not only helped me get the project done on time, he helped me with designing the layout, sourced all the trades at reasonable prices and worked well with me remotely as I had to travel for work during the reno. I also took the opportunity to upgrade a lot of the house's mechanicals while I had the bsmt gutted and Kevin was very good at ensuring that new plumbing, wiring and heating vents were installed on time and set up to easily accommodate future renos. Looking forward to working with him on the renos for the other 3 floors of the house!

new and restored plaster throughout 100 yr old home

In addition to Kevin's own abilities he has assembled a team of staff that apply the same level of talent to every job they touch. Drywall installation, mudding, old style plaster-boarding and plastering, painting... Kevin is on top of it all with a keen eye to detail and the bottom line. He's never shy to offer an idea that could make a positive difference even if it means charging less but never sacrificing quality. You might think I like the guy... I do. Hint: the best way to reach Kevin is by email or text.
