I was very impressed with the initial home visit and quote. They were very professional and prompt in everything they do. The siding installer was awesome. Great attention to detail.

I had to reshingle my roof and I selected Cherry & Clark for the job. Yogi was my sales rep. Elton and crew did the job. They started work at 7.30 Am and finished the job around 7.45 PM.The workmen were very hardworking and they did a good job. I would recommend them for anybody who needs roof repairs done. I am adding this comment in 2021. Shingles started lifting and coming loose after a couple of years. It looks like they used low quality or old shingles. So, beware of the quality of shingles they install.

On Wed April 23 the installers for Cherry and Clark arrived bright and early the remove the old shingles and re-shingle the roof. They knocked on the door and introduced themselves and explained to me all the steps they would take to perform the work. I was most impressed with their politeness and professionalism both in the manner in which they conducted themselves and the way in which they performed their work. I went to work and when I arrived home that evening, the job was completely done, the area was entirely cleaned up and the new roof looked fantastic! I cannot emphasize enough what a great job Elton and his crew did. We are so pleased with our new roof and would recommend Cherry and Clark to anyone contemplating a new roof. Kudos to Elton and the crew and kudos to Cherry and Clark for a job extremely well done!

In 2008 Burlington Roofers (Hamilton) installed a new roof on my townhouse. Two years later, I developed a leak which required my ceiling to be partially replaced and painted. Burlington Roofers did the repair...but only after numerous calls (to many to mention). In 2013 another leak developed. Burlington Roofers came out to my place on several occasions – and guessed at where it was coming from. However after 8 months, Burlington Roofers were not able to determine where the leak was originating from and basically refused to come out any further, to investigate / solve it. Burlington Roofers said it was not their responsibility and the last few times I called them...the owner Bob Tomlin was angry at me for calling (for a leaking roof – destroying my ceiling – again – which was under his warranty). Neighbours of mine recommended Cherry and Clark. I called the company and explained my situation. Reg Burns (the Vice-President) responded to my call. Reg was knowledgeable, empathetic and sympathetic. Before I knew it Reg was out to my place to assess the situation. He offered two solutions for consideration – replace part of the roof – or replace the entire back portion. There was no pressure applied and a written quote was provided for both. I went with replacing the entire back of my townhouse. The replacement was completed within weeks of the quote. The day following the roof replacement, I had to call Reg to ensure the work had been done. There was no indication that anyone had been there...no debris, everything on my patio was intact / in-place. Reg thanked me for the compliment....as indeed the roof had been replaced (my neighbours confirmed this). Reg followed-up a couple of times to see if the roof repair had solved the leak. We did have a few rainfalls, but they were minor and the roof did not leak. Even though we have to wait until spring to confirm 100% the leak issue is solved (as the cold-freezing weather appeared so very early, in the latter part of 2013), I am so confident that it is! All-in-all, I am so very satisfied with Cherry and Clark Roofing in Oakville/Mississauga. Reg Burns was exceptional and the workers seem to have completed a fantastic roofing job. Cherry and Clark presented as very professional and followed through with their workmanship. The job was completed in a very timely manner and as mentioned above, I could not tell the workers’ had been in my back yard / or on my patio! Thank you Cherry and Clark.

We had some severe ice damage to the front of our house last winter caused in part by some decaying in our Mansard Roof structure. We called on several contractors for estimates but went with Cherry & Clark because of the detail they put into their quote, which gave us a feeling of comfort that they knew what we were looking for. Cherry & Clark sent their estimator (MIke) who spent some time not only discussing with us what we felt was needed but also in suggesting some alternatives. He then prepared a detailed drawing and plan fully explaining some of the additional issues which might present themselves once they opened the roof and soffit. There was some concern as to being able to colour match the existing siding and eaves-troughs as both were somewhat dated and faded. He returned 2 days later with samples of the siding and eaves-troughs which matched so closely we couldn't tell the difference. Dates were set for the work to commence, a confirmation visit a few days before by the fellow who would be supervising the job confirmed his material requirements. His team showed up on time and work was completed when they said it would be. Fortunately the additional problems discovered once they opened were minimal and didn't required any extraordinary material so everything came in as quoted. They even corrected a few minor problems with some of the ice-guards and water deflectors that had been dislodged or were missing. Clean-up afterwards was exceptional and they even went through the flower beds and pickup up small bits of insulation that had blown into them, my wife was impressed at this detail.

When the massive rainstorms hit toronto I discovered I had a major leak around the chimney. I called cherry and Clark to look at the problem and they immediately sent someone out who discovered the problem around the chimney flashing. As it was raining heavily they did a temp patch and stopped the leak for me. He returned the next day when it dried up and fixed up the chimney. I am looking to get my roof done in the next year or so and will be calling Cherry and Clark when the time comes. Very happy with quick and professional service!

This was a small job and a bad time of the year as all roofing companies are very busy. I tried my roofer that had installed my roof 2 years ago, but they were too busy. C&C was efficient and scheduled an appointment immediately, quoted me a very reasonable price and did the job on the job on the spot. They have a dedicated service department for just such small jobs. i will be forever grateful.

A relative of ours had Cherry & Clark do their roof and they were satisfied and they recommended them to us. We had the estimator come to our house – he showed up on time and seemed to have good experience and gave us decent advice. He sold us the whole package and told us that the crew were highly professional and will clean everything afterward and he will be there to make sure we are satisfied… That was reassuring. We decided to get the Timberline High Definition Shingle (Fiber Glass). The crew arrived on time a few days later (Monday) due to weather (not their fault). I decide to take a day off to remind the crew of a few issues with our roof and to tell them that if any plywood has to be replaced not to be shy and hange them… The crew worked fast, they were efficient and at the end of the day, the roof looked good… That’s where it started to go downhill … very fast from there. The estimator sold us the fact that they were supposed to clean the entire site afterward – which they did, but then I found a few nails in my driveway a few minutes after they left (without saying Thank you & goodbye), I also found some random shingles around the house and many of our flowers and plants were damaged by the foot traffic / equipment of the crew… Two days later still on no news from the estimator who was supposed to be there (remember…) to make sure we were satisfied – not very reassuring anymore. A few days of rain later – Friday – while we are about to put our daughter to bed, my wife notices that a spot of the carpet in her bedroom looks a different color – I touched it and it was soaked wet. The next morning, I decided to rip the drywall and found the insolation and stud wet – after more demolition, I discovered that it was directly caused by a leak on our new roof. Overall, we had to spend approximately $500 to repair the damage but luckily I could do the repairs myself or the cost would have been 3 times higher. I sent an email to the estimator and also the vice president of the company - they were supposed to dispatch the Warranty Manager on Monday, but someone somewhere decided that it was not that important and dispatched another employee – which came to do a temporary & very ugly repair. He agreed with me that the original crew neglected many details and did a poor jobs on some areas… He promised me that someone would to get back to me with a follow-up and a date of repair… but you guessed it, nobody called, not the estimator, not the vice president, not even the Warranty Manager who was supposed to be there… Finally, they fixed their major mistake, but we never heard from that estimator - not a single soul, even bother to follow-up with us to check if we were satisfy and we had to chase the VP for every single information. On a brief conversation, he told me that the company shall be able to compensate us for the repair cost…. You guess it… It has been 2 weeks and no email, no call from anyone at Cherry & Clark. On top of the cost of the new roof, we had to spend around $500+.... No apology, no thank you, no acknowledgement - a loud & clear "We don't care" message. Do you think we will recommend to call them ? At this point it doesn’t matter if we are satisfy with the roof itself – the whole experience was a nightmare, the company didn’t bother to follow-up; they don’t care if we are satisfy or not - it is, one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with… After a few weeks, and after I post my review here, one of the manager finally contact us to apologize for the poor service & follow-up - it give me some hope for that company. Also, they agree to reimburse us the extra cost we had to occur for the damage & repair... It still doesn't really explain all the let down and "don't care attitude" with no follow-up, but again, it give me some hope... I believe they just need to learn how to set-up expectation properly... Therefore, i'm increasing my Rating on this company, but as a principle, I can't give them more than 3 stars on "Satisfied" and no more than 3 Stars on "Recommend"...
