    Home Inspection

    Brent was amazing!! Very experienced, professional, detail oriented has all the skills needed. For us as first home buyer, not knowing what to expect, ask, he went through all the info and details which we needed to know. Caught the electrical issue which the previous inspector missed. As my friend recommended, you will not be disappointed.

First, the home inspector that was used before me should have picked up on all the knob and tube wiring, but for the same inspector to come back a second time to confirm if there is any knob and tube wiring only to miss it a second time is simply amazing! I mean 30% of the home was knob and tube! Oh well, I doubt he will be in business much longer. All the best to him. Anyways, at least now we all know that there is knob and tube wiring in the home. (I also found it amusing that your realtor took pictures of the knob and tube wiring and is going to send it to the inspector!)Maybe he should take some switch covers off next time.     Home inspection on short notice

    My wife and I got in touch with Brent after seeing the many positive reviews here on HomeStars, and now that we have met with him and utilized his services, we would heartily recommend him. He was accommodating of our need to schedule an inspection on short notice in order to be able to satisfy a condition of our purchase, and the service he provided at the inspection was thorough and most helpful. He not only searched every inch of the home for potential issues and answered questions we had, but gave us information we wouldn't have thought to ask for. We feel confident in our purchase thanks to Brent's help and willingness to be contacted with follow-up questions should we have them once we move in. Thanks Brent, it was great meeting you and going through the home with you!

    Home Inspection

    My husband called Brent for a Home Inspection based on the many excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. He was punctual, patient, answered my husband's many questions and was overall great. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone for a home inspection. At the end of the very thorough inspection, we received a detailed binder of all of his findings and that night he sent us all of the pictures from the inspection. Brent exceeded all of our expectations.

    Home Inspection

    Home inspection on 100+ year home

    We had contacted Brent about a home inspection back in December 2010 on a home we had placed an offer on. Based on the thorough job that he had done and the recommendations he made, we decided not to purchase the home. So when another home came up, we called up Brent again and he happily came to do the inspection. Brent is very thorough, honest, reliable and likes to help you understand what is he looking for and how any issues will impact you as a home owner. In this particular house, it was noticed that there was leakage in the basement, some home inspectors may have left it at that, but Brent was not happy until he found the cause and solution to the problem. He went inside and outside, trying to find the culprit until he finally figured out what the cause of the leaking was. Had he not done this and found it was an easy fix, we may have reconsidered the purchase of the house, not knowing the cost and implications of the repair. I am very happy with his service and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone to give you a complete and comprehensive home inspection.

A true gem! It's funny that you would notice something like the fact that I went back outside to find out why there are leaks getting into the basement. I could not have left that inspection by simply telling you that the basement is leaking, therefore just deal with it. My fear is that you call up the wet basement people who will only give you some ridiculous quote to fix the problem. In some cases yes, it is required. However, in so many cases it is a simple fix!     Home inspection prior to home renovations

    In order to decide where to start with our home renovations, we asked Breny Jeffreys at Classic Home Inspections to take a look and prioritise the work for us. He was punctual, personable, thorough, and very frank with us about what needed to be dealt with now and what could wait for a year or so. Brent returned my phone call right away, made a real effort to come out as soon as he was able to, and offered to answer any future questions we might have about the house or his suggested improvements. I highly recommend Classic Home Inspections.

    Pre-listing inspection

    We've done a great deal of restoration to our 95yr old, 2.5 storey Hamilton home, but as with any near-century home, there's always improvements to be made! Now that we're considering selling soon, it can be hard to tell which improvements need to made more urgently than others, and how to prioritize! Based on this, we called Brent in to give us a pre-listing inspection. We were very impressed with his thorough and detailed report, and so very appreciative of the time he took to really explain things and answer questions. Brent was professional and analytical, friendly and approachable, honest and diplomatic. It was truly evident that he is invested in his work and cares enough about customer service to transform the whole home inspection procedure beyond merely the provision of a formal report ... he made it into a complete advisory session and educational experience. Thanks to his guidance, we now have a clear understanding of what issues need to be addressed before the "For Sale" sign goes up, and what issues are not as pressing. We will certainly be calling Brent again when we go house-hunting, and we will indeed let everyone know that he is entirely worthy of the ten-star rating he's earned!

    Townhouse inspection

    Brent was knowledgeable, thorough, and paid attention to details. He did not rush through the inspection. He took his time to go over everything carefully. He was great! I would certainly recommend him to family and friends.

    Home inspection (Tarion 1-year)

    We brought Brent in to do our 1-year Tarion warranty form, and couldn't be happier with the job Brent did. The entire process was thorough, and Brent took the time to explain things to watch out for, and also put our minds at ease about a few issues we were wondering about. Brent was friendly, professional, and took the time to make sure we understood some of the things he was looking for. While it will hopefully be many years before we move, I won't hesitate to call Brent again next time.

    Home Inspection

    I got Brent's number after I saw all the great reviews he has on Homestars, and I recommended him to my best friend who's buying a house. Brent came to do the inspection yesterday, and he truly impressed us by his professionalism. He's thorough, knowledgeable, honest, and very patient and friendly. We were looking at a 1.1 M house, and Brent found issues that could not be forgiven for this price range. He discussed all of them thoroughly with us, and even spent more than an extra hour discussing all sort of different things related to house construction. We actually decided to walk out and not buy the place. Thank you Brent for saving my friend the trouble of buying that place! I highly recommend Brent to anyone lookingto hire a home inspector :)

That right there I would question. It's too bad because it was a very nice home. Unfortunately, everyone likes to think their home is worth a million dollars. I know your friend was heartbroken, but in the end, I think she knew she was making the right decision by not buying the home if the current homeowner was not willing to negotiate.
