    New furnace and air conditioner

The service people Dennis and Justin were excellent. A good fast cleaning job. Very professional. They notified us before they came, they kept in touch as they did the work, they helped us move things when necessary. They careful he went over what we needed to do in the future. The purchase was a follow up on the recommendation of Brad our regular maintenance person. Darren who sold us the equipment was also very good.

    A company that lacks integrity

Had plumbing protection plan for 2&1/2 years which did not resolve any of my plumbing issues except referring me to rental water heater dept which then referred me to heating plan then back to plumbing. At the end, have to get a plumber outside Enercare to fix the problem. Received invoices which indicated an amount which was covered by the plumbing plan except that the visit never took place. Finally decided to cancel the plan and was put on hold for more than 25 minutes in total. It is still not cancelled because the contract is renewed yearly and need to call back March of next year.

    Water Heater Installation

The two people who installed my new water heater were polite, efficient, fast, knowledgeable, and informative. I could not ask for better. They arrived exactly when they were scheduled, and had finished within 30 minutes.

    enercare oshawa a/ service

Called for service yesterday and had Dave Lewis at my door 7:30 this morning. He did a complete check inside and out in less than 30 minutes. He is knowledgeable, quick, and bearded. This was the third or fourth time Dave has serviced my furnace and a/c; and it is always a pleasant experience. Thanks Dave and Enercare .

    Excellent service

I have been using Enercare for the past 4 years for my furnace, air conditioner and gas fireplace. The service has always been prompt. The technicians sent to my house have always been courteous and professional. I also love that they ask you in advance if you want the technician to explain upgrade products and you can say yes or no depending on if you are interested in a new system. There have never been any pressure tactics to purchase a new system even though my system is old. They always give me honest assessments.

    A/C repair/Billing

I had an issue with my A/C this summer and signed up for Enercare's Cooling protection with maintenance plan. I was informed over the phone that I would still be charged a $179.00 ($202.27 total with HST) diagnostic fee which I agreed to. The repair person came to my home and fixed the A/C and charged our credit card for the above mentioned fee. The next month, I received my first monthly bill for $26.26 also as agreed to and there were no issues. However, the following month there was again a charge for $202.27. I have called to notify the company of their error and asked not to be charged and they told me that they would open a case for me to look into it and I am waiting to hear back from them regarding the outcome. Even if the problem is rectified, it's still a huge inconvenience and severely annoying to me because I never should have been charged twice in the first place and now I've had to come on here to waste more of my time to write this review.

    Yearly Maintenance Call.

Yearly Maintenance Call - both Air Conditioner & Furnace Maintenance done at once. Couldn’t get an air maintenance apt until September, so I requested air & Furnace at once. Technician: PAUL ANTONIAK - FABULOUS!! On time, called me to confirm he was on his way! GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Paul was very friendly & knowledgeable! Paul walked me through the proper use of my furnace for all seasons. Paul determined that my High Efficiency Furnace was not working into 2nd Stage heating & immediately made an apt for maintenance. Enercare should be aware of good things that happen within their company... PAUL ANTONIAK is an employee that Enercare should be very proud of!

    Electrical switch kept tripping

Technician was very polite and on time. He explained what the problem was he showed me and explained the steps taken to correct the electrical problem. The electrical problem prevented me from using my garage door opener or lawn mower. I am very satisfied with his work and the time he took to explain the problem.

Good Luck Getting a Refund on Auto-Renew Services

In 2017/18 I had purchased the annual Enercare Heating and Cooling Maintenance Plan from an Enercare sales person over the phone which covered one heating and one cooling related visit. Over the course of the year I only used the one visit for the heating plan and did not make use of the one for cooling, so it was my intention not to renew the plan for 2018/19. I received my Enbridge bill this past month (Enercare bills through Enbridge) only to see that my bill was $250 higher than it should be due to service charges from Enercare. I did not think this was a problem; and figured I could just give them a call to understand the charges and fix the incorrect billing. Turns out that the maintenance plan auto-renewed, but did not appear on my Enbridge bill until the following billing cycle month. Enercare has a 45 day window to allow for cancellation of the service, but the time starts when the contract renews NOT when the service is actually billed or when I receive the bill (and does not account for any delay in the Enbridge billing cycle). This meant that by the time I saw the charges, investigated and called Enercare that I was 3 days past the 45 day cancelation window. Enercare contracts and customer retention departments insisted that they were unable to cancel the contract since I was past the 45 day cancellation period. I was transferred to various reps until interestingly enough reached another customer retention specialist who said he could discount the $250 to $200 by "cancelling my current current contract" and signing me up for a new discounted one. What the @#$%?! So they can cancel it after all? Enercare insists that an email notifying me that the service would be auto-renewed was sent. There was a strange, almost mysterious lack of communication specific to the auto-renew, yet I do seem to get all of the promotional offers through quite clearly. Enercare also claims they don't need your consent to renew. Quite simply I shouldn't have to pay for a service I didn't want and haven't used.
