    Maintenance Plan

    DO NOT deal with this company - i have been battling since the spring to end my monthly billed maintance charge. They said i could not break the 'contract' as i had agreed to a one year term - my service with them began almost 15 years ago - i DID NOT agree to a one year plan - they said they would pull the VOICE RECORDS to prove i agreed to a 1 year contract....the next person i spoke to said they didn't have to as i had continued paying and hence was an agreement???? after speaking to 5 different staff - and requesting twice i speak with a supervisor, who never called me back - they have no proof i agreed to a 1 year plan AND it is illegal in Ontario to automatically renew a contract (this being a contract i never agreed to) finally i involved Enbridge who said i do not have to pay and they took the charge off my Enbridge bill. This morning i received a bill directly from enercare - and to top it off in May i received a mailing from Vice President asking me to return to enercare and they would give me a good deal. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

    Furnace maintenance from Grant Harris

    Grant Harris was extremely thorough in his furnace maintenance, providing a number of useful recommendations for extending the furnace life, and maximizing safety. Dealt happily and patiently with a household with limited handy knowledge, and with a furnace in an awkward location in the basement. Great service!

    encare furnace cleaning

    Great service, very convenient appointments. Have been with Encare for the past 10 years and have never been disappointed. I will strongly recommend it. The cost is very reasonable especially when you pay on monthly basis.

    Excellent work by Grant Harris of Enercare Woodbridge

    We just had our appointment for furnace maintenance today. Grant Harris came out an did a really good job of thoroughly checking and servicing the unit, also provided some very good recommendations and suggestions for us to save money.

    Rocco is an excellent technician...efficient, clean, knowledgeable

    Although we pay for a maintenance plan we had to pay a $300.00 environmental fee for disposal of Freeon (gas) ... unexpected expense and not sure why so much?? Odd for a 10 year old furnace? But Rocco fixed what ever the issue was that caused the leak and now the air is working at full capacity

    Heating and AC protection

    I had a furnace protection plan with enercare (former Direct Energy) for 5 years and it was great. A/C started acting up so decided to add the A/C plan to exciting plan. What a mistake! Apparently there was a clerical error. Rather then making it right, they decided to charge me both plan separately (25.99 EACH total over $50) rather then the joint plan $29.99 as they informed "it could not be changed now". When the bill came, it had charged me for 5 plans, total over $100. I called and was informed "billing manager" was on holidays but issue would be resolved. Long story short, the third bill was almost $800. Multiple calls with multiple reps claiming to have the problem solved resulted in nothing, they actually said until it was resolved, I should pay or might be send to collection and affect my credit! Took 6 months and the Ministry of Energy investigation for them to finally close the account and take back all charges. A complete nightmare. I would suggest another company out there whch has AC/Furnace plan at $19.99 and NO contracts. Month to month rather then this year to year from Enercare. Beware!

    Service for Hot Water Tank

    I would like to recognize and commend Mr. Andrew Hazlett for his excellent performance today. Out hot water tank was making loud noise whenever it ran for the past couple of days. Andrew (or Andy) did a good job in figuring out right away what was the issue. He showed his expertise in resolving the issue without guessing what the issue was. He just knew. Andy is also very prompt in that he arrived on our doorstep no more than 10 min, just as he mentioned in the phone call. i Hope Enercare recognizes him and takes good care of this excellent employee. I can't express more how gratified I am, all the best to Andrew and may he be recognized by his manager of his excellent performance by keeping Enercare client satisfied. I would like to end in saying that Enercare has a good reputation because of people like him.

    New Furnace, Hot Water Tank and Air Conditioner

    Our air conditioner died at the worst possible time, during the hottest days of the year. Not only did Dave H and Sean G come within 24 hours to install a new unit, but they were knowledgeable and friendly, and they didn't mind putting up with our new dog. We ended up also getting a new furnace and hot water tank while we were at it. I am so thankful for all their hard work. It was a pleasure dealing with them. Thank you!

    Semi annual furnace maintenance

    Just had a rep from Enercare in to do their semi-annual maintenance on the furnace. Have been using them for about 5 years now, as always great service, prompt, courteous and efficient. Would highly recommend their services.

    Water damage/plumbing insurance plan

    Since signing up with Enercare for the water damage/plumbing insurance plan we have had one leaky toilet and a leaky faucet that could have caused serious damage to our floors and beams. The technician came quickly when we called -- same and next day -- and repaired the toilet putting in a new wax seal for the toilet and a new piece of copper pipe and handle for the faucet. Both times the service was quick and the bill we were given each time was for $0.00. Everything was covered under the monthly cost for the insurance. So far, we are definitely ahead in terms of money spent. But the peace of mind that comes with knowing that this will be the case if we have any major issues in the future is wonderful.
