    Billing Issue

    This company routinely billed me for a service I didn't order. They over charged me for two protections plans at a cost 23.99 and 13.99. I ask the company reps to have a manager call me. They laugh and say between 48 and 72 hours. No one has called. They tell me I need to speak to someone in misrepresentation department. They don't have that department. This company knows they did something wrong and I have faced, emailed all of my bills. Enercare doesn't care about the customer and would rather wait it out so we forget the problem. I hope this message helps someone thinking about using enercare.

    Furnace repair

    Hello, everything went absolutely excellent, from my phone call to report the problem, the gentleman who took my call was very kind, managed to give me the same day appointment, the technician arrived with a smile, even though it was late in the afternoon and he told me that he had a very busy day, his service was quick and efficient, very clean, a true professional. I will definitely recommend Enercare to all my friends and family, this plan gives me great peace of mind.

    Heating and Cooling Plans

    My husband and I called Enercare and after speaking with a representative there, we set up the Heating and Cooling Maintenance plan. This was going to cost us around $50 a month. It's been about 3 weeks so we called to cancel because we thought about it and changed our mind. Upon calling, we were promptly told that no, we can't cancel because we are locked into a contract for 1 year. This was news to us, we didn't know if was a contract we entered into, and the plan was not sold to us this way when it was setup on the account. Enercare referred me to the Terms and Conditions and said it speaks to the contract there, but it doesn't - it speaks to a 12 month plan. Well, plan and contract are not the same thing, and they are not interchangeable words. Sorry, but as a consumer, it should be made clear to me that I am entering into a contract. Many vendors do this already, where it is clear the service is a contract - think of cell phone carriers, they all are very clear about this. I'm not an unreasonable person, if I had any idea I was signing up for a one year contract, I would not have called Enercare to cancel my service, I would have just done the year and then cancelled in a year, if I still wanted to do that. I just find it to be a shady sales practice. So, buyer beware. Their heating and cooling plan is a one year contract. The escalated my call to a supervisor, unfortunately, he wasn't very helpful. I've asked to speak to a higher manager/supervisor, so I'll see where that goes, but I don't have my hopes up.

    Heating and Air conditioning Installation

    All the people I dealt with were punctual, informative and very knowledgeable about the products and services offered. Workmanship was fast and professional and they took care to keep things clean and tidy.

    Service

    Enercare service representatives have always been a pleasure to deal with whether it is related to water heater, air-conditioning, furnace or plumbing all of which we have a contract for. They are always courteous and knowledgeable.

    fireplace repair

    The technician explained to me that because of the age of my fireplace that the part needing replacing contained mercury. The part was not made anymore because of safety issues and the fireplace would have to be replaced. I appreciated his expertise and his helpful suggestions.

    Furnance cleaning

    Efficient service. Serviceman called me a few minutes before he arrived just as explained over the phone when I scheduled my appointment. Friendly and professional. Provided recommendations and suggestions as well

    Couldn't Cancel Contract!!

    Where to start. The original service was good. They fixed my furnace and lured me into signing a maintenance contract to save on the repair. Since signing up I never saw them again. Three years passed and we decided to move into a new home. I closed my Enbridge gas account which notifies Enercare. So on my final bill I see a full charge for next years payment. Even though I had been paying monthly. When I contacted them and said I was cancelling they told me it was too late and that my renewal happened 2 months earlier. When I said that I was moving they told me that the contract would move with me. I said I had no need for the service since everything would be new and under warranty. When I refused to pay they have Enbridge collecting for them and what is the little guy supposed to do. In the long run I guess I saved nothing and should have paid for the repair and sent them on their merry way.

    Furnace repair

    We pay for their monthly insurance which is supposed to give same day furnace repairs. Instead we've been without heat for 2 days in 0 degree weather since they keep scheduling people to come out and they never show up. When we call them back each new call person says they know nothing about it. We'll be filling complaints with the bbb and other organizations. This company does not care about their customers at all and should have a mass lawsuit filed against them with all these bad reviews.

    hot water tank repair

    Very happy with service, even though it wasn't covered by our maintenance plan. Hot water tank part was ordered and delivered the same day. Next day tech showed up and installed.
