    excellent performance

grant came to check our furnace and air conditioner and he was friendly, efficient and professional. I would recommend Grant Harris and when we need to check our furnace and air conditioning, I would ask for him to return to our home

    Spring AC Maintenance

Grant, the technician, just completed the spring maintenance on our AC system. Grant was flawless, his performance over and above expectations. In fact, found a small leak on the gas line! to the water heater. fixed it. This was not a part of the scope of work for today, nevertheless, found it and fixed it. Want to wish Grant a Happy Birthday today! See you in the fall, Thank you very much!

HWT showing trouble code (7 flashes)

Getting the service package was definitely worth it! We had a warning light go off on our hot water tank and someone was there same day to fix. We actually had an appt for the next morning but they called to say they had someone available earlier. The rep was very knowledgeable, tooktime to explain the problem (we had been doing a reno and the product we were using set-off the alarm),showed us how to fix it if it happened again (to save us having to call again and lose having hot water), and took time to check other Enercare products, like furnace. He checked the filter and explained some quick fixes to help it run better.

Enercare Heating Protection Plan is really worth it

My 15 years old furnace had the blower motor replaced last Nov and the run capacitor replaced yesterday. No out-of-pocket expenses paid as all were covered under the Heating Protection Plan. Estimate per incident cost total would be near $1K without the protection plan. Technician came within the appointment schedule and fix time was less than 1 hour each time. Very pleased with the service and professionalism end-t0-end. As a result, also signed up the Cooling Protection Plan too!

    Heating/Cooling Service

Was contacted back in February that I could sign up for a Smart Home system which included a 'smart' thermostat. Selling pitch was that I would still receive the current coverage I had for heating an cooling with a Smart thermostat and overall it would be cheaper than what I was paying at that time. I agreed and had the thermostat installed in early March 2020. Everything was working well until the hot weather came around and we wanted to turn on the AC and it wouldn't turn on. When I called to request service, they advised me that I don't have any coverage for AC or heating for that matter and there would be a fee to have the system checked an possibly repaired. My coverage was cancelled back in February when I went with the Smart Home system even though I had specifically advised them that I didn't want my coverage to change and was told that my coverage would stay the same as it was previously and it would be slightly less expensive with this new plan. I then contacted an external cooling repair person and he advised that he thought that the issue may be with the new thermostat and how it communicates with the AC unit. I contacted Enercare again and the Smart Home person walked me through some troubleshooting with the thermostat and now, not only my AC won't turn on but also my heat won't turn on when this was tested. She also advised that she thought it was likely the thermostat that was the issue and that they have been having similar issues with other customers with this specific thermostat. She advised that she would have someone contact me to schedule a technician to look at it. I was contacted by another member of the Smart Home team who advised me that it could be a wiring issue and that they would need to charge to have a technician come out. I asked, why I was not advised of this "wiring issue" when they initially installed the thermostat and why was I advised that this seems to be a common issue with this thermostat. I then advised Enercare that I would like to just cancel this Smart Home service and return the thermostat and I would go out and purchase a new thermostat and have an external technician look at my AC if it is indeed something wrong with my unit. They advised that I would have to pay over $400 to cancel the service as it is a 36 month term even though first of all they incorrectly cancelled my heat and cooling coverage and then advised me that this is a common issue with this thermostat. I just want to get rid of the thermostat and the service and deal with someone else for any maintenance issues. Not worth the hassle or the cost of the coverage.

    Furnace Maintenance Call

Although the service technician was very professional from covering his shoes upon entry to providing an explanation after completing the work required. However, I would recommend that if there is something that needs your attention that before leaving the technician give you a first hand look at what the issue/issues might be. Yes, I know certain recommendation requires a level of trust on the part of the homeowner. But to improve that trust and keep the existing level of trust high from technician to homeowner some explanation would go a long way on my part. I also needed to speak with the technician after he had departed my residence. However, getting in touch with the same technician was not possible 5 min after he left. This part of the service call could definatley use improvement. A mean by which the homeowner can contact the technician in case he forgot something or in my case to discuss another issue would have been useful. But when I called the reservation centre by landline it turned into a convoluted process of me having to book another appointment to even have the possibility of speaking with the same technician. This part of the service call in my opinion was unacceptable. But as I said the in home work was done to my satisfaction. The few modification to improve trust and contact after the service call is completed are simple fixes.

    Pump replacement

Excellent job showed up with a mask and gloves which I appreciated. I wore a mask as well for his protection. He was courteous and professional. Communicated well and told me exactly what he was doing. He also cleaned up well after performing the service.

    service. Air conditioner repair.

my new air conditioner stopped working. I thought the problem might be my thermostat, which i thought likely needed to be changed. The customer service representative responded appropriately. She was able to schedule an appointment for the very day I called. The technician arrived as scheduled. Exceptionally, he respected my physical distancing efforts.

    Heating and Cooling

A high qualified and very professional worker to install the heating and cooling system is what I was looking for and Reza and Denver delivered. They were polite from start to finish and cleaned the premises from all disposed materials. They asked for permission and explained details before cutting a wall or fence to install the equipment. Outstanding job done.

Quality of replacement parts are sub par

The service was very quick from the time I placed the call to when the technician arrived. The repairs were done very quickly and efficiently. The technician was very polite and professional. Although my last service call was handled exceptionally well I am not impressed with the quality of the product as the same part (furnace Igniter) needs replacement every season or every second season. With many failures of this part on a consistent basis puts me at great risk during the winter months. A furnace failure during cold weather conditions could cause water pipes to rupture. I would recommend that Enercare source a new supplier for this part, one who's parts are more reliable.
