We were extremely happy with Gable Roofing and highly recommend them. Another roofing company replaced our whole roof in fall 08 and we started to have serious issues with the flat roof in early spring 09 (leaks and water damage inside). We had problems getting the original company out to assess and fix their mistakes so we connected with Gable. Their office manager, Dave, and his boss were efficient and professional. They took pictures to document, explained the problem (basically neglegence by the original contractor)- and offered us a very affordable, innovative solution to the problem. They came three days earlier than we were expecting to fix the problem before a period of rain/ storms. The repair was done quickly and well, documented with photos with no mess left behind. We are confident in this company and the guarantee that they provided us with- these guys are first rate. Thanks to Gable Roofing and your great staff- it was excellent to deal with a company that cares about their work and their clients!

I've used Gable roofing a number of times now and had good results. The service is casual but reliable and the workmanship has always been good. I've always felt good about their prices too.

Perhaps because the summer/fall of 2008 was exceptionally busy for roofers in the Toronto area, we didn't find Gable nearly as timely nor as responsive as some other reviewers. However, they had come highly recommended, so we stuck with them, waited until they could finally do the job, and in the end have been very satisfied with their work.

After several nightmares with contractors working on my Victorian house (NEVER use [competitor name])- Mike from Gable Roofing was a dream. They had the job done in two days and left my yard cleaner than when they started. Perfect professionals from start to finish. I've recommended this roofer to three of my friends and they ALL were thrilled. Excellent work, perfect service.

I found this site a while ago. We had an issue with a gutter that had come away from the wall. Hammering new nails in wasn't solving the problem because the wood that the gutter was hanging onto seems to have rotted. I called 4 contractors to get a quote (for, understandably, a relatively simple job), and Gable was one of them. They told me that they had a person that was right in the area and came by the house within minutes. (!) They looked at it right away, came up with a quote and the next morning (!!) came by, and finished the job before I went to work (!!!) (caveat: I don't go to work until 11am). I was quite surprised by the efficiency, friendliness and fair price of this team. Now, I *know* that my case was likely a "fluke" in terms timing, but nonetheless they get high marks anyway.

I called one other company before calling Gable, the other company wanted $150 just to come and look at my roof. Gable provided reasonable repair estimate for free and show up the next day after my call. Within 2 days, Gable got my shingles repaired and did a detail roof inspection while they are up there. Gable recommended one additional preventive repair for a small charge, I agree and they fix it at the same time. Overall, very satisfied with their price and service. Gable utilize digital photo and email, pretty hi-tech for a roofing company. I would definitely recommend them.

In November, my dormer window started leaking so much that we needed 5 buckets everytime it rained. I called other companies (including Alpine, who said that I needed to get the 8 year old shingles on the north side of the house replaced. That was unnecessary, would not have fixed the problem and would have cost me $5000!) Gable Roofing did explain that they were swamped with work and bad weather, but would get to my dormer as soon as they could. In mid-December, in the middle of a snowstorm, Gable sent a very able man to start fixing my dormer. It took a couple of days and needed new wood and new siding, but it now looks great from the street and it is water tight. My bill was within $50 of the estimate. All of the staff that I dealt with were friendly and courteous. I would recommend Gable Roofing to anyone.

I got four quotes, with a wide range of prices. I had a second story deck that had to be removed before the roof was replaced. Gable was the only one that wanted to come back once the deck was off to see the situation. David was helpful and friendly. I had a leak and they got here within 3 days! The yard was spotless and the guys who did the roof were really nice too. Thanks guys!

Snow on my mother-in-law's garage roof was melting quickly during a a warm spell this past winter and water was flowing down the inside wall and then down into the basement, flooding everywhere. Gable Roofing came within hours, shovelled the snow off the roof and dug trenches in the remaining ice to permit run off. They then sealed along the flashing for a temporary and effective repair until they could return when the weather was better (within a matter of weeks) and replace the gararge roof. Their prompt response in an emergency situation is unparalleled. They put my elderly mother-in-law at ease with calm and helpful workers and their workmanship is excellent. The cost was reasonable and fair. I can't say enough about this company.

The home inspector said we needed a new flat roof on our recently purchased home just south of Girard near the Beaches. We got three quotes and Gable was the lowest. We were hesitant to accept the lowest quote (sometimes you get what you pay for), but they had WSIB, liablity insurance, had been in business for a number of years and showed up on Homestars with several positive reviews. Mike showed up on time to inspect the job, provided a written quote, answered all my questions at the time and responded promptly to my email and phone call questions. So we went with Gable Roofing. They showed up on time to remove the two layers that were on the roof, installed the new roof and cleaned up completely. We were very pleased dealing with Mike at Gable Roofing and would not hesitant to recommend Gable Roofing.
