Many other contractors come across a unit that has a mercury flame switch and they'll just tell you that you need a new unit because they don't know how to repair the unit or they don't have the parts. The technicians at Gas Fix know how to fix these units and also carry the parts to do so on their vehicle. Though it is an expensive repair, it is a much more economic repair than replacing the entire fireplace. As noted, we had all the internal parts required for the repair which included the gas valve and pilot assembly on the vehicle so we were able to complete the service call on the same day in a matter of hours.
