    Services have degraded

    I have been a customer with Home Turf for a few years now. The first couple of years were great. They would come to re-spray with no issue, and helped control Creeping Charlie with huge success. However, things really changed this year. There is no advance notice of when a service will be performed, despite of my repeated requests. I had asked for aeration and overseeding to be performed in the fall. This morning, a technician came to do aeration and overseeding, again without advance notice. When I called the office, the office told me that there was a system glitch. The customer service rep. offered overseeding in the fall again, but not aeration, because aeration could only be done once a year. Reading other recent reviews, I noticed a pattern of performing service without advance notification, and declining service quality. I am really disappointed with Home Turf this year, and would not recommend their lawn care services.

    Exceptional Service from Hometurf Canada

    I am delighted to share my exceptional experience with Hometurf Canada's services for the second consecutive year. Their dedication to excellence and commitment to customer satisfaction have made me a loyal and satisfied customer. From the beginning, I have been impressed by Hometurf's professionalism and attention to detail. One notable aspect is the signs they place in the front yard after each application, which are standard for all customers. I kept these signs as a testament to the quality of their work and took the initiative to speak with my neighbors about the impressive results I've witnessed. Thanks to my recommendation, four families in our neighborhood have also subscribed to Hometurf's services this year. It speaks volumes about the trust and confidence we have in their expertise. While I have nothing but praise for Hometurf, I do have one suggestion for the senior management team. It would be beneficial to ensure that all employees who provide services allocate sufficient time for each application. Whether it's fertilizer, weed control, surface insect control, or any other service, thoroughness is key. Ensuring that every corner of the property receives the necessary treatment will further enhance customer satisfaction.     Hometurf lawn care

    I had taken their services last year but they should up yesterday at my place and did the work without any authorization and left me with the bill. No phone call or intimation before the service call. I called their customer service this morning and they were trying to give me a deal...like common, are you serious. They are bunch of unprofessional people trying to get $$$ out of you. DON'T TAKE THEIR SERVICES! BE AWARE

    Autorenewal without noitification

    I used Hometurf in the past and they did a decent jobs. The grass was green but there were still pleanty of weeds on the lawn which I dug up deligently. I didn't pay this Spring and this mornng the Hometurf truch came and I shouted to him that I didn't renew and he told me to call the office to cancel and he left. They used to leave a message to let me know when they would be making service call. There was none! When I called to offcie the rep told me that they had to verify with the technician or there would be a charge.

    Lawn fertilizing

    The technician made one little pass of the lawn. When he saw I was watching him he went around over the same ground for another small pass. This is usual for the technicians at this company, and I think Im going to switch next year.

    Worst service ever

    Unprofessional. They cancel the day of and reschedule at their convenience. Paid for ambassador program 6 visits, they provided 4 visits. When I emailed them asking why no one has come for September or October, their response was to call their 1800 number. On the phone they told me I have to call if I want those visits ( even though they are part of the program and paid for). They refused to come out and offered a 20$ credit. Paid 400$ for 6 visits, but only got 4 visits. Horrible customer service. The workers that come do a horrible job too- literally takes them 20 seconds. No detail work. Miss areas. They dont care about your lawn. Desiree manager has no customer service skills. Trust me, spend more dollars and pick someone else.

    Terrible Service

    Have sent 2 emails (one in August and another in early October) to their contact email as well as another through their website contact form and no response to my notice of cancellation - asked for confirmation of receipt and not one response or contact. First time user for 2023 (complete package and crab grass application) Came home to see a notice they had done the first application and there was still snow on the ground in parts of the yard! Explains why I have crabgrass both sides of the driveway where snow had been. Another application was done when rain was forecasted 2-3 hours later (which it did), and the application notice said do not water for 24 hours. Lawn analysis was always the same 2 check marks. Not once did they comment about the weeds that continue to grow. Zero professionalism from Hometurf. Switching to another company for 2024 and can see why neighbour across the street didnt renew with you last year.

    Rude and Failed to Deliver Service

    Ive paid $631.00 for lawn care which includes aeration and free bags of seed. I did not receive the seeds nor the aeration. When I called Hometurf, the customer service manager picked up the call. I told her that my last application was around July/August and I didnt receive any lawn application or the Aeration and seeds since. Her response was WHY ARE YOU CALLING NOW . She claimed to have called me 4 times prior, to mark my sprinklers. However, I did not receive any calls nor voice messages. I asked her if she didnt get any response over the phone, why didnt she send me emails or leave notices in my mailbox instead; as this was how they usually communicate with me. She claimed to have someone come out 4 times; how come they didnt leave any notices or at least knock on the door? Did I mention the lawn seed? Yep, they failed to deliver that as well; I guess they tried calling and needed me to flag the exact drop off spot on my curb. Resolve: they provided me with a whopping $50 credit towards my next year, if I choose to use their services. The Customer Service Manager was rude, impatient and unwilling to help. She was one of the worst customer reps Ive ever encounter. Ive spent $630, at least have the decency to provide normal customer service! Im not sure if it was a recorded conversation but I would really wish the owners of the company could listen back to the conversation and see first hand how the Customer Service Manager treats their customers. - I was literally laughing during the call because i thought it was a joke! I really question how they got such a high rating on HomeStars!

    Terrible Service

    Terrible work and terrible service. They burnt my lawn in several palces by over-fertilizing. I also paid extra for the anti-grub pesticide but grubs are still a problem. When I called and e-mailed to compain, they ignored me. My requests for partial refund for cancelled services were also ignored. They continue to send me e-mails to sign up again, even though I have unsubscribed several times. This is a company focussed on sales, not service. I recommend you stay away from this company.
