    Door Safe System

Over the 15 years that I have owned my home, Jaimco Doors & Windows have replaced 2 exterior doors and almost every window in the house. I have been very happy with each installation and product. Yesterday, someone attempted a break-in through my back door. They did not succeed in forcing the door because I purchased the Door Safe System from Jaimco several years ago. It works! The break-in attempt damaged the deadbolt lock, but the door and the lock held secure, and the thief was not able to get into my home. I highly recommend this product.

    French doors replacing patio doors

The doors and windows were installed quickly and the clean-up was good. They replaced 2 basement windows for us, and these were done well. The door in the back was a bit of an different story. We were given limited options, the salesman did a home visit and up-sold us on their "security" system, which wasn't relevant due to the way the door was installed. There is rust on the door trim, and the weather strip on the bottom of the door is ripping (and the door is less than 2 yrs old).

    Custom Storm Door

Horrible experience. I visited their showroom as I am long term beach resident and really try and support local retailers. I paid $780 for a full view storm door(not cheap) and was told 4 weeks for del and install. After 5 weeks I called and the employee vocalized out loud why had the manufacturer not gotten it to them. Someone then got on the phone and stated they would deliver it on Monday while I was at work and install. When I came home I was to say the least disappointed. It was not the door I was shown on the display. It was trimwork slapped around the frame and secured with 13 silver screws(on a taupe frame). The trimwork had been thrown into the garden. The screws were not even drilled properly and the fullview glass door meant to show off the newly painted red door had about 6 inches of silver chainlink hanging in plain view. I called to speak with someone for 3 days(no return calls). I then left a detailed message on the VM as it was now into the following week and a holiday weekend. Additionally, they had charged the full funds without authorization to charge final deposit. I recieved a call from my home on that Wednesday that someone had come and taken the door and frame. Still no call from Jaimco( they simply came and removed it) and by the way had my previous door so I was left with no storm door. I again called and Gord who sold me the door apologized and said I should come in and talk to the owner and that he had not heard all of the details such as trim bein thrown in the garden!. He then stated it was not necessary to come in he would issue the full refund immediately and mail me the receipt. He also commented that he had just learned that they can put screw caps on so not sure why screws were not capped etc.???. He was not aware they had taken the door with no communciation and again assured me they would issue a full refund that day. That was one week ago and after calling 3 times to inquire as to refund and assured it was being handled and someone would call me back, I finally got a call from the owner Jamie( extremely unprofessional) saying he was holding a restocking fee of $140!!! He has had my money for 7 weeks, still has my previous door and I have yet to see a refund. When I explained he would not be charging me a $140 fee and I expected a full refund, he hung up on me and proceeded to hang up on me when I again called back- almost comical if it were not true, would think it was a skit or being punked. I have been in senior sales and operations roles and I have to say- Go to a Home Depot or a Lowes where at least you can mitigate your risk and have a guarantee. By the way Home Depot has a beautiful door, custom for $600 but I now have to wait another four weeks for install. DO not use this place. Sadly, unless I can touch feel and take it with me I will think twice before buying a product or service from an independent. And I can assure the owner of Jaimco Doors he will lose more than $140 he is trying to charge. His staff must feel really proud to work for this company.....wow. Be Warned!

    Windows, doors, hardware

We recently used Jaimco for installing new hardware on all our interior and exterior doors. Their service was exceptional. They went out of their way to make sure that our needs were met and even went the extra miles on a few occasions to make sure the our deadline was met. We have used them on several occasions in the past for windows and doors. They come highly recommended.
