Backyard Deck and Landscaping, and Front Yard Porch
Master Deck was the best home reno experience I've had to date. Alec and his team have a commitment to every last detail, and are respectful and timely. Alec had fantastic ideas when it came to design options, and was flexible throughout the process with adjustments as the work was coming along. Alec has integrity - there will be no surprises working with him. Best of all, we could not be happier with the results.

Backyard deck
Alec was a pleasure to deal with. He was on time and on budget and delivered all that was discussed. His attention to detail was impressive and his workers were polite, clean and their workmanship was great. We are very pleased with our new backyard and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. In fact, they are now working on backyard decks for 3 of our neighbors. Krista and David

New Deck
From our first contact with Alec, he was professional and responded to all of our needs with respect to designing and building our deck. He came to build right on time and despite some terrible weather was able to complete the job quickly. We get compliments on our deck all of the time, from the composite wood choice to the glass panels - WE LOVE OUR NEW DECK! Thank you, Randi & Daniel Nixon

PVC Deck
Alec did an amazing job on our deck. He was professional, did an excellent job and was very reasonable in pricing. I'm so happy we ended up using PVC for our deck. You will not be disappointed with his service.

2nd level deck and fence
We called Alec to redo the back fence for our property and redo our very old and non-functional deck. He was great from start to finish. Came by, did a thorough estimate and did an amazing job. He finished on time, on budget and without any bumps in the road. We are so happy with the final product and would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable person to do a great job.

Large Single-Level Composite Deck
This review is a year overdue. The deck was built then my wife gave birth. Fast forward to Spring, I just want to thank Alec and crew for building an amazing deck. We can truly enjoy it this year as a family. We were thorough in meeting with 6 prospective companies. I had a vision but some contractors were rigid and only told me what they cannot do. Others are relatively more expensive. Alec was the perfect fit, very personable, flexible in accommodating my ideas, and competitive in price. We wanted a large single-level, low-profile deck, built over a small existing patch of interlocking stones. I believe it was 25' x 28'. I also requested two short fences with doors. At first Alec quoted us 2 weeks for the job. But then he showed up with 2 crews, and amid intermittent light rain, his crew was able to finish the job in just 5 days!!! On the last day, the crew even marveled at their own work rate and efficiency in completing the job. I definitely recommend Master Deck. Thank you Alec!

Replacement Back Deck/Balcony
Our back deck/balcony was in sorry need of replacing. Alec came over to our house, pointed out areas of the deck that were no longer up to code and then showed us pictures on his notepad of his work and different options that we had. He priced out each option and explained the pros and cons of each. At the end we felt he allowed us to make an informed decision. Alex and his crew were courteous, friendly and professional and the work they did met all our expectations. I would highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

Deck
When we wanted to replace our wood deck with a more modern substrate we consulted HomeStars website first. We spoke with several suppliers and ended up contracting Master Deck. Their presentation, ideas and pricing were what lead us to use them. Alec and his crew have been doing this for many years and it shows in the quality of their workmanship. They finished the job on time and on budget. We would not hesitate to recommend Master Deck to anyone looking to update or build a new deck.

Complete rebuild of existing pressure treated deck
We had needed to get our deck rebuilt for years now, but could never get a decent recommendation from any of the neighbours. Finally went to HomeStars, picked out Master Deck, and after meeting Alec, immediately decided to go ahead with the project. The workmanship is awesome, Alec's flexibility, knowledgeability and punctuality are second to none, and the end product is fabulous. If you need a deck, Alec is the man to hire!

backyard deck
We are very pleased with our new deck. Alec and his crew worked diligently and consulted us each step of the way. The job was completed on time and on budget. The work site was left tidy after each day's work and any inconvenience to us was minimal. We have no hesitation in recommending Alec to anyone wanting a great deck at a reasonable price.
