After having problems with AC unit I called around and talked to different companies about my options and everyone I called just wanted to sell me on a new AC unit. But after talking to James at Natural Choice he took the time with me and gave me options, the long and short of it all, I’m back up and running and the professionals at Natural Choice were a true pleasure to deal with. Two thumbs up!

Used this company on referral from others and they were great! Prompt service, they offered a quality product with fair pricing, and no pressure follow up to answer questions. Even though we did encounter a small problem with the new a/c unit, they advised us of the issue and were prompt in rectifying it. Great job!

It was great to see Eric and Chris arriving on time, in a professional and well equipped van. They were detail oriented and knowledgable and were happy to explain what they were working on and address any concerns we had.

Thanks to Geoff, Chris and Eric for the great job replacing our Furnace and AC in our newly purchased home. The guys explained things all the way along and even gave us tips on our new ecobee thermostat. I originally called JCJ Mechanical for a quote. Without asking any questions really other than the age of my furnace, he (I say he because he never told me his name) quoted me $700 and then asked if I was going to pay by cash or cheque. He then tried to upsell me to just outright purchase a new furnace for $2300, this is without ever actually coming to diagnose the problem. I obviously decided not to pay for his service and ended up calling Natural Choice. Gavin listened to what I thought was the problem and then suggested he have someone come look at it so that they could diagnose the problem before giving a quote. The 2 men that came were friendly and after looking at my furnace advised me that we needed a new ignitor. They quoted me $199 plus tax for part and labour which I thought was reasonable. Needless to say, I will not be calling JCJ Mechanical again, however I will definitely recommend Natural Choice Heating and Cooling to my friends and will call them again if I have any further issues with my furnace or AC unit.

Hit the brick wall with problems with the Navien Water Heater that another company installed in 2008. For third time unit leaking and no hot water; this time no support available over a long weekend. Searched the web for alternative companies in Whitby, and other Tankless Water Heater models. Found a great solution and contacted Natural Choice Heating and Cooling. Within an hour, Geoff contacted and came onsite to estimate a solution (installing a Rinnai Tankless). Geoff came across as extremely professional and felt very comfortable and confident that we could proceed. Within 24 hours, product was installed and working GREAT. Can recommend company for both the fabulous service and the excellent install done by the team. Am very happy to provide this positive feedback. Am very glad to say this has been a positive experience.

Geoff was very informative and professional when he came by to give the quote. He was very helpful in explaning all the details about the Furnace and the installation process. He got back to all my emails and texts quickly and answered all followup questions. The team that installed the furnace was also very professional. They did exactly what they were supposed to do and did a very neat and clean job with the wiring. They also went through the house to ensure all the vents were working accordinly. They walked me through on how to work the new Ecobee Thermostat and Humidifier. Great service. Only thing is there was a random pipe by the side of the house that was left. Other than that it was a job well done.

Natural Choice arrived in very short time, during one of the coldest (minus 25 degrees) days of the winter. Technicians were courteous and professional. They also walked me through the new system and took great care in the finished product. Very strong customer service from start to finish. When my furnace broke down I contacted many Durham companies; Geoff from Natural Choice Heating and Cooling was not only the first one to contact me (while three other companies took hours to respond) but was also able to give me a competitive price on a high efficiency furnace. He took his time to explain why this particular furnace could be a good choice for my needs. I was amazed to see the knowledgeable and courteous technicians to come to my house just a few hours later to install the furnace with a state of the art thermostat. They finished the installation just minutes before my out of town family arrived for Christmas. Natural Choice Heating & Cooling saved me from an overpriced competitor and made me feel good about my purchase. I initially obtained four quotes for the installation of a new furnace, air conditioner and gas water heater. The quote I received from Geoff at Natural Choice Heating and Cooling was competitive and I chose this company not only because of the numerous positive reviews on the Home Stars website but also because of this company’s knowledgeable and experienced staff. Geoff explained the work that had to be done in considerable detail and I found his recommendations and knowledge superior to others that I had interviewed. I had completed a considerable amount of research on various furnace models and I have to say that Geoff and Jim answered any questions and concerns that I had regarding various products without hesitation. I chose a Trane XV95 series furnace and a Trane XLi15 Air Conditioner for my bungalow. The furnace is whisper quiet. The month following the installation, I noted a $35.00 reduction in my electricity bill! The installers, Eric and Chris, did an impeccable job and I could not have asked for a more perfect, well organized, installation. They are extremely good workers. There were glitches along the road including an issue that required environmental remediation and Geoff obtained quotes and called in a contractor the same day. I cannot say enough positive things about this company. If I could give them a 10+ rating I would. The staff are honest, knowledgeable, experienced and hardworking. I highly recommend Natural Choice Heating and Cooling and assure you that you will not be disappointed.
