Stephen just replaced a 27 year old door/opener with a new insulated vertical opening door with 2 remotes, sensors, control panel. Quality of craftsmanship is superior. Attention to detail is exceptional, you can see in how the various components are mounted and aligned. All debris removed, averything works very well. There are contractors who are nice and are average workers and good workers who are not that nice but Stephen and his helper are both gentlemen and craftsmen. I cannot imagine using someone else for this installation and expect better or a better deal.

I called him as my door wouldn't close without holding the button. over the phone he told me what to look for and how to fix it and i did it in about 4 minutes and it cost nothing. Great guy.

Everything I read about Steve here is true - he asks questions over the phone first to determine what needs to be done and arrived promptly when it was apparent I couldn't do the job myself. Very professional, efficient, and cost much less than I ever would have imagined. He even programmed the remote opener in my car! Add my vote to the large group of happy customers.

We are extremely pleased that we decided to go with Open Sesame with the replacement of our garage door and automatic opener. Steve has done an exceptional job and is so pleasant to work with! His workmanship and professionalism is simply the best anyone can find, and I agree a 100% with what other reviewers said about him. We absolutely love our new garage door, it really complements the look of the house, and to top it off, the automatic opener Steve recommended is unbelievably quiet and smooth. We would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a beautiful garage door, there is no need to look any further.

Garage door opener did not come with new home. Called Steve to try to book for a later in the week appointment and he offered to come same-day, which happened to be a Sunday. In fact, he came early Sunday evening which was above and beyond, amazing service.

Open Sesame just finished installing a new garage door and an automatic opener, and my wife and I could not be more impressed. The installation looks beautiful, the attention to detail was readily apparent and they even left my garage in a MUCH cleaner state then it was before they arrived! And not only that, they are two of the nicest and most trustworthy guys you could ever hope to deal with--I could tell right away that they were being very straight with me and weren't trying to pull a fast one on me or cut any corners. In all honesty, everything about the job was above and beyond my expectations. An easy 10.

Steve is knowledgeable & professional and goes above and beyond (i.e. he lacquers the handles & hinges so they will withstand the elements). We had researched the purchase of a new double garage door for many months. We were looking for a steel, Coach-style door with larger windows. Once we had decided on the Clopay Coachman Collection we obtained quotes from 4 companies. Steve's quote was the best price by $500 over the next best quote. Some of the other companies charged for things which should be standard, like replacing the capping.Steve's price included painting the door in a color we preferred and he matched an online price for the Liftmaster Elite garage door opener (but would have installed the opener for no charge had we purchased it ourselves). The door looks great, operates quietly & the capping also looks great! Steve was quick to come over and do the quote and he and his asistant installed the door within a reasonable length of time (we had to wait a couple of weeks for the door to arrive from the manufacturer).

We recently contacted Steve regarding changing our old garage door. After discussing our options with several other firms, we decided to go with Steve at Open Sesame. I first heard about Open Sesame doing research on the Homestars website. His reviews were excellent. Right from the outset over the phone, he was extremely professional, discussed several options and he promptly came to see the garage. I had studied the various doors (manufacturers) over the net including door openers and within minutes of meeting Steve and going over details, I felt assured he was going to provide exactly what I was looking for, and more, at a reasonable price. He installed the door on the day he said he could and he and his partner did an excellent job with the installation. He is honest, reliable, very funny and excellent in his work. Thanks Steve!! We have a very old garage with a loft above. There was no way to support the garage door opener, but Steve installed a cross-beam and wired everything perfectly. This project would have taken me weeks, but Steve and his assistant were in-and-out within five hours and the system works perfectly. Steve went above-and-beyond with recommendations for improvements to our existing garage door. Would highly recommend!

My garage door spring snapped last sunday and after reading up some reviews on Homestars I decided to call Steve. I told him I needed the garage fixed as soon as possible as I needed to get the car out. Even though he had a full day of jobs lined up, he promised to swing by late in the evening. He replaced the spring, aligned the sensor, lubricated the tracks and educated me on how to solve basic issues that may come up in the future. Steve had an excellent attitude and you can clearly see he takes great pride in what he does. This was a small job for him but he still time to go the extra mile. I highly recommed him.
