    Dishwasher Repair

As always, Peter was professional, on time, and did a terrific job for a reasonable price. I have used Peter several times in the past (dryer repair, stove repair), and highly recommend him.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Elizabeth, thank you once again for allowing our company to service your appliances, in this case your dishwasher with the noisy " creaky" door. And thank you for taking the time to write a review!

    dishwasher not filling with water

Peter and Chris at Pambis are real pros! Called and spoke with Chris after my dishwasher suddenly stopped filling with water, and once I provided the model number he was able to get me in touch with Peter and we scheduled a service call. This all took place within 2 days of me first speaking with them, which was well appreciated! I was able to schedule Peter to come by within a 2 hour window (10-12), and like a true professional he showed up at about 10:15. Within minutes he had the machine apart and was able to pinpoint the issue, and get it repaired on the spot. Machine is now working great! Pambis was absolutely amazing to deal with - courteous, professional, and more than helpful. Next time I have a problem with any of my appliances, they'll be first on my list to call.

refrigerator evaporator freezing up Not defrosting

I had a problem with my freezer building up white heavy frost every week. My friend recommended that I replace the timer which I did but problem returned. I called Peter from Pambis appliance and he came by to check and see what the real problem was. He checked with his digital multimeter and verified that it was actually the defrost sensor that was faulty. He had the replacement part with him and changed it out.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Alvin, the defrost system of older refrigerators are made up with a combination of several parts, which are the defrost timer , bi metal thermostat, and defrost heaters. In your case, the bi metal ( defrost sensor ) was the faulty part. Thank you for having the model number ready when placing your service request so we could look up the correct part and have with us to complete the repair in one visit., and thank you for taking the time to write a review which goes a long way in helping us to promote our company with the service we provide for our customers. Warmest regards, Peter P.

    maytag dishwasher

Our dishwasher was not working and Peter came by and fixed it immediately. Peter came and fixed it immediately. I would recommend this company 100%.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Elaine, in your case the dishwashers user interface was "shorted out" . This is the part that sends your selection of wash cycles to the main electronic board to start the machine and complete the wash and rinse cycles. A little bit pricey for the part, but less expensive than replacing the machine, even though its only 2 years old! And thanks for the review, always appreciated. Warmest regards, Peter P.

    bosch dishwasher control panel

I bought a control panel for my Bosch dishwasher but could not figure out how to install it. I called Pambis Appliance to set up a service call, and Chris took my call. He sent a message to Peter, and the following day, came over to take a look. The reason why it would not fit was because the selector switch buttons were all in the wrong position. Peter removed all the buttons and put back in their proper place ( they are all marked with letters, but very hard to see ) The repair was done very quickly and for a very reasonable price. I will call them again in the future if I ever have any other problems with my appliances.

    Front Load Washer

A (supposedly repaired) front load washer made strange sounds, started to smell of smoke, and stopped working altogether. Peter managed to conveniently fit me into his busy schedule. First thing he noticed was the previous repairman didn't even put the top of the washer on correctly. Peter corrected that, got it running like new, and even properly realigned the whole washer! Thanks Peter!
