    Hardwood flooring installation

We had been going to install hardwood flooring on the first floor in our house for a long time and were hesitant to do so because we'd heard different stories about contractors who didn't do a good job with installation and then disappear when you try to find them to fix the problems. A friend of ours recommended Remy to us, and we were extremely happy with the job he has done. Not only the quality of his work has been exceptional - everything is done just perfect, but he has also taken a great care of the problems when we called him back. We would definitely recommend Remy to anybody who is looking for a hardwood installation expert!

    Hardwood install

It has been a little over than a month now that I have been enjoying the beauty of hardwood flooring and I would like to thank you for that. At frist, I was doing my homework and planning to do it myself. I had learned a great deal since. From purchasing my hardwood from Darmaga Hardwood Flooring at Richmond Hill and from calling and meeting with hardwood installers; all were very pleasant. Special thanks to Sharon and Dennis of Darmaga. One installer that stood out was Remco Flooring. I was a bit hesitant at first to go with Remco as it did not have very many reviews on Homestars website. However, that went away as soon as I had 2 or 3 phone conversation with Remco, Mr. Remi Dubinskas. In each conversation, he patiently answered all my questions. He could not schedule the install right away as he was busy doing others but he gave me a date. That was a very good sign indeed considering that he only had few reviews. He checked back with me several days before the install; what a follow up! Good one! I had been very impressed with the patient, workmanship and professionalism that Remi had brought. He laid out his schedule, work sequence, expectation and of course the payment. He even suggested me what to buy and not to buy to save cost. I was also impressed with his ability to listen what client wants which I was going to tell you a story on the second day of install. Nov 18, 2009 was the first day Remi came. He did my Open To Above Living room. It took him awhile to figure the lay out especially under the stairs … maybe I was asking him too many questions at the time. Nevertheless, he did the transition from tile to stairs. It was good and smooth. There was one spot or a joint that I believe he could have improved. I told him the next day that I would like to see separation of joints between the adjacent planks greater than 6 inches. Boy … did he not only listen but also he did showed it on his workmanship toward my Living room. I was impressed. The third day it got even better, he nailed the 2nd floor landing with perfection. I know that it was a tricky place. My subfloor is not even and the stairs is curved. He stopped and took his grinder and level my subfloor, quite a bit of job there. His workmanship really showed. He really took it to next level which you will see it on my pictures. These pictures were shot right after the job… mind they are a bit “dirty”. To me the rest of the house is history, he did my living room, 2nd floor landings, master bedroom with perfection. I am very happy with his workmanship, patient, manners and ability to listen to customer. For the man who listen and did what the customer wants … in my book the score is 10. I even joke with my friends that the only good thing and done right in my house is the wood install. I will invite him again to do my bedrooms and kitchen in Jan 2010. Thank you, Remi.

    Installing hardwood floors

Taking possession of our house just two weeks ago we ripped up the old carpet excited about the hardwood underneath. To our surprise it had been badly damaged over the years and un-repairable. Remi from Remco Enterprise came highly recommended from a friend so we gave him a call and Remi came the next day. Remi provided us great advice; he told us the differences in all types of woods and why some would work better in our home, he explained about sizing and most important he broke down pricing so we could understand what are dollars would be spent on. Remi told us a start date and an estimated finish date an unlike most contractors, Remi stuck to it. Remi’s professionalism was outstanding; he was very kind and hard working. The finished product was much more then we could have expected. Our new house is quickly becoming our dream house all because of people like Remi. Thanks Remi for your hard work. We appreciate it. We will highly recommend your work to anyone. Jon

    Hardwood Flooring

I am writing to you to thank you for the great work that you did for me. I must say that I am thankful to Robertas Melkis of Banga Renovations who first recommended you to me. I have been in the home rental and renovation business for 33 years and appreciate trades that are both timely and professional. You came when you said you would, did the work quickly and within the time you had said and cleaned up the site before leaving. The floors look and feel great. Although you have only done 3 jobs for me I’m sure that I will use you again and recommend you to people I know. Please feel free to use my name as a reference.

    Installation of Hardwood Flooring

My in-laws friend Joseph who is in house renovation bussines recommended calling Remcoenterprise for a hardwood floor installation while we were renovating the house after we just bought it and moved in. It is a 50 years old side split house in the Credit Woodlands?& Dundas W area in Missisauga. The thin original hard wood floor of the lower level was in a very bad shape like almost entire house and we were expecting a baby soon, so we couldn't imagine the youngest family ?member crawling on the peeling and full of splinters floor, even having in mind the high cost of ?replacing that. It had to go soon with no questions. So we did some home work - researched about pricing, availability, timing etc. before calling some one.??The guy came in next day after we called him. He was really friendly, measured ?everything quickly and told us the price he also suggested some things and explained more about ?variety and differences of the materials and some other things according to our situation like ?putting some sound proof stuff since you could here everything what's in the basement or being ?there sounds from upstairs and so on.... You know this is one of those things when some time you feel right away at if the guy knows what he is doing and talking about. We had no doubt ?about him since the very beginning. He was very positive about everything and he even suggested ?where to go and get the materials, because the stock of the wood we wanted was running low.?We wouldn't be able to find anything similar in a short period of time if not some of his guides. I ?just realize know how much extra time and energy all these searching things take...?...I had to call him when I "will be “ready”"since I had to take the Old floor by my self in ?order to save the cost…?So I started ripping...not my kind of a job...didn't like the process...But ?just kept saying "...doing it for my self..."...I followed all the instructions of the guy...how ?to screw the floor to in order to prevent squeaks and so on...Finally I did my part...Just wanted to mention We have a corner fire place in the middle of the house, so we were worried how all this will come out, since we just put the new tiles around it, but after seeing him working in process I didn't even think asking him about anything anymore. He worked so focused and moved arround so fast and flexible between all his tools and material so there was no need to bug him... It all was done in a couple of days(~500sqft)...lots of cornering, ?base board cutting and putting in place...he sweeped?every time after him so never left his mess ?around...WOW...we where amazed!!!?My wife is a professional graphic designer with her fancy thinking plus?Being a young family and a first time house owners we are still idealists and a bit picky on many things so we were very curious how all this will end up... ?We couldn't believe the difference before and ?after...No squeaks everything nice and straight, no gaps, there was nothing we could pick on...WE ?were so happy about it... even that the house was upside down for a while it all was worth it.?We are loving it!!! Looks like Our daughter Aiste enjoys that too>>> We couldn't be more happier about this... ?So if you want to be headache free in this chaotic process and need some one who delivers you best quality fast call that REMI guy...??I would definitely recommend him to do the job.??Thanks Again Remi for all your hard and nice job you did for us! ??Cheers! ??Aldas & Akvile
